I got a 20 bonus box tops certificate the other day at the grocery store and I have a lot of items in the pantry with these symbols on them. If any body needs these I'll be glad to collect and send them to you.

I went to get a couple papers and couldn't find anyone at the usaul spots in Hiram- HomeDepot, across from Kroger at 61/278. I haven't bought one on Saturday in a couple of weeks. Have they stopped selling them on Saturdays?

I wouldn't be concerned as long as you don't have more than $100,000 in the bank. However, I've heard stories of people having trouble with bill payments, checks clearing etc., after their bank was closed by the FDIC. So, account holder beware.

The Food Lion has miniature shopping carts with a pole that says "Customer in Training" on them. I went up there tonight and it wasn't too crowded so we got one of those carts for my son since we knew he would have fun with it. Well I had wanted to meander through it and look at prices, selection, etc. but couldn't because my 2 year old has driving hary kary through the store like a bat out of h*ll. I hope those carts don't end up being problematic. They had the racecar carts like they have at Publix so if I can get him in one of those before he see's the mini carts I hope I'll be OK.

I guess we'll know tomorrow if they are going to do that. They were inducing her this morning. Haven't got any updates.

I tried one on my tub and the soap scum came right off. I just wiped it off. No scrubbing. I'm impressed.

We've experienced a miscarriage personally and you do stop and give pause around the due date, wonder what the sex was, etc. I can only beleive that this must be ten times worst. We had a cousin whose wife got to her 3rd trimester and the cord got wrapped around the babies neck and the baby died in utero. It took a long time for them to try again.

I have a bunch of those things in the garage from some B1G! sale. I'm going to go get one and try it out.

I had heard of the term and spent some time reading some websites about the condition. Its very sad. Some parents choose to deliver the baby and spend time with him/her before the baby dies. I honestly don't know what I would do in that situation. Thank goodness they had some options and were able to choose what was right for them.

My brother and sister in law went yesterday for their 20 week appointment to find out the sex of the baby and found out the baby is anencephalic. The brain did not develop and the condition is fatal. Most babies only survive a day or two and from what they could tell from the ultrasound this would be the case. They decided not to continue with the pregnancy and she is being induced today. Please pray for this couple.

NPR had a nice piece on him this morning. He really was an advocate for the common man. We need more people like Ted Kennedy in the Senate.

We went because well there's nothing else to do at 8 am and apparently 500 other people thought so to. The line was around the building. I got a few paper towels, some fruit and cokes and checked the store out. Very nice. I'll definately be shopping there for things that I can't get double coupons on. We got our shopper's card, entered the drawing for the gift card, etc. We got a nice bag with some Food Lion brand freebies like cereal, jelly, pancake syrup, trail mix, a bottle of orange geotrade type drink and nilla wafers that they were giving a way to the first 500 shoppers.

I think I would just do what I could with the mortgage co and if things pick up you can always get caught current on the mortgage. I wouldn't want to end up with a huge debt to Title Max and then possibly a foreclosure down the road too if things were to not pick up.

Got mine yesterday. I went to pick some Chinese food up and walked down and peaked inside. It was really nice inside and it looked like something will be going in next to it in the shopping center.

I have discussed this before also. David Austin is guilty of hiring a former employee also while county employees holding similar positions were let go. I know quite a few county employees and they are shaking their heads at some of the things this administration is doing.

Very well then. I have entertained the thought of running for public office at some point. On a side note my nephew finally found a job at Starbucks that he seems to enjoy. It seems to have the potential for some social outlets which he needs. During his time looking for employment, he did manage to run up a $1700 internet bill. Seems he ran over a certain threshhold for downloadables and AT&T decided to extend credit to his mothers account to continue with the gaming. I'm suprised his mother didn't end up in the hospital after getting the bill.

I have both attended meetings when possible and viewed the meetings on Comcast. I have also emailed my Commissioner to voice my concerns. However, I recognize the fact that this County, as well as others, are run in cases by a small group of people that ultimately will look out for their best interests. I do think David Austin is taking a look a critical look at a lot of things but until we have some new blood at Commission post level its more of the same as far as I am concerned. I'm just really tired of the good ole boy cronyism that is prevalent everywhere including Paulding County.

It's common practice in industry to consolidate departments to achieve maximum savings during budget crises; I think County government should be no exception. I have not heard to date of the County looking into doing anything like this. Additionally, there are a lot of Counties that do have an independent Airport Department and other Counties have it rolled up under the their County's DOT areas. It was just example. I could cite others. Heck for that matter we could save some $$$ and just have have one Commissioner like Bartow or Cheroke has. I am glad you are so enthusiastic about the Co

THey need to take a serious look at consolidating some departments and getting rid of some of those high dollar director positions with $100,000 plus salaries. do we really need a department of one with a $100,000 plus salary like the airport department. This should be consolidated under the county's DOT area.

Oh my!!!

I've been laid off since March and have applied for jobs that I'm mostly over qualified for. There are very few jobs being advertised for my skill set but when I do see one I of course apply and get somewhat excited. I've had a whopping one interview for a part time job off Craigslist which I didnt't get and didnt really want. I've never seen it this bad and neither has quite a few other people I know in similar circumstances. I've never had a problem getting a job or at least an interview. I'm really starting to think that it will be next year or later before the economy turns back aroun

Heard a rumor that the DA's office had to layoff an assistant DA and at least 1-2 office workers. Anyone heard that too? What about at the Administration building, anymore layoffs planned?
