A couple of weeks ago, I went shopping at Kohl's. I went out of town last weekend for my little sister's wedding in Texas. Last summer, I wore a size 8-10. This summer, I'm a size 12. Yeah, that part sucks. But anyway, I digress. I needed some clothes that actually fit me. So, I went shopping. I have a Kohl's card. I use it for the discounts I get. And, every month, I pay the full balance, so I never spend more than I can afford. So anyway, when I went shopping a couple of weeks ago, I ended up with $30 "Kohl's cash." Today was the last day I could spend it. Even though

Questions about Casey Anthony's defense strategy
TabbyCat replied to baseballmom's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Caylee was NEVER "missing." She was either decaying in the trunk of her mom's car or decaying in the swamp. And her "mother" is a heartless b!tch. !!! -
Who's fault would this be? Doctor/Chiro Office situation...

She shouldn't have taken her young children with her if she was going to be incapacitated. And they should have never left her incapacitated with her young children in the room. How tragic. There should have been policies in place. I see the responsibility as 50/50. Someone there should have had a lick of sense. -
Questions about Casey Anthony's defense strategy

I haven't read this whole thread, so let me just say that up-front in case what I have to say has already been said. I recorded Friday's court proceedings and am just watching it tonight, even as I'm typing this. This "woman" disgusts me. It seems to me that there is ample evidence that she had her daughter's decomposing body in the trunk of her car as she drove around partying in the days after Caylee disappeared. That's the part that I just can't get past. WHO does that? And the heart sticker on the duct tape? I could have lived the rest of my life without knowing th -
Climate change accelarating - Rifkin asks if we are asleep
TabbyCat replied to gpatt0n's topic in Paulding County NEWS
Oh, stop with scientific data already! Let's just ignore that the rate of loss of carbon from the atmosphere is at least four times greater from people BREATHING than the rate of measured post-industrial increase in atmospheric CO2. Clearly, we all should breathe less. Let's ignore that the rate of fossil fuel burning energy release is minuscule compared to the rate of the sun’s delivery of energy to the planet. Yep, there's input to oppose all the output. Let's also ignore that solar impact (energy from the sun) and planet albedo (shortwave radiation reflected from the Earth -

The first step is admitting you have a problem....

Stop with the nauseating political positioning already. It matters not which letter of the alphabet the person has behind his or her name. Geesh. Who's defending anyone, regardless of their alphabetical position? -
Ok, wrong weather for it, but still GOOD! I made white bean chicken chili in the crock pot and served it with jalapeno, whole kernel corn, and cheese cornbread.

And my favorite line from the article linked above? "But lawmakers asked to weigh in appear unwilling to go near the toxic Weiner." -

Thanks, everyone. It really was a special day and a beautiful wedding. LR, I honestly don't remember who made that gorgeous cake, but I'll ask my daughter to refresh my memory and let you know!

Then I apologize. I had no problem with the link, and I have high security on my laptop. But I am sorry. I would also mistrust a link that set off my alerts. Forgive me?

Property Tax Assessments are here!
TabbyCat replied to The Sound Guy's topic in Paulding County NEWS
On the upside..if there is one? Last year our taxes went UP, and so I paid more monthly for the mortgage. I contested the increase, but my mortgage company had some artificially inflated percentage by which your taxes increased to calculate your loss and, based on that, your amount of overpayment on the loan. So, I had no choice but to pay monthly the increased amount they charged me. NO. CHOICE. A couple of weeks ago, I get this $1,700 check from my mortgage company for overpayment into my escrow account this past year. Seriously? I called them and TOLD them the monthly mortga -
It ain't the link, honey. It's your anal-retentive, obsessive-compulsive "virus software." Proactive defense is always a good thing. But programs that alert you to non-existent danger are just irritating.

Thanks!! The photographer did an awesome job. And I am so proud. My daughter will love these photos for the rest of her life. She did such a great job of planning everything (I helped!), and it all turned out so well. I only get to be "mother of the bride" once, and she made it a very special thing to be.

Thank you! Oh the stories behind my dress! Pcom came through for me on alterations to my dress AND the suit my son wore (THANK YOU King Tux Rentals).

Thank you! I thought she looked beautiful, but I'm a bit biased!

I Just Want To Ask A Few Reasonable Questions?
TabbyCat replied to Eddie Bennett's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Nope. I hope we can become a nation of accountability. Today I heard that our government currently spends around $26,000 dollars PER AMERICAN HOUSEHOLD ANNUALLY for government aid. I heard that, and I started thinking...I GET NO ASSISTANCE from the government. So? What does that mean? MY $26,000 is LIKELY going to someone who doesn't work AND CAN. And I'm supposed to be OK with that? Well, I'm NOT OK WITH THAT. I'm all for helping folks in true need, but I'm really not into supporting the lifestyle of someone who NEVER WORKS and wants the government (i.e., ME through my tax $$) let them le -

There are maybe 10 women in the US who could pull that off, and they are all starving. The sad little anorexic waifs.

I was in East Texas this weekend and noticed all of the Crepe Myrtles there were in bloom. I have two in my yard and I have a number of neighbors with Crepe Myrtles, and none of them are blooming yet. I wondered why, too. However, I don't think it's really very late. I always admire Crepe Myrtles on July 4th, because they remind me of "natural firecrackers" when they turn into trees and are in full bloom. And it's a month until the 4th.
