And it is fascinating...

I stuck my nose in something that didn't concern me
TabbyCat replied to knau7708's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I see it sometimes when my grandson is here and my son is watching him. He was here through this whole long last weekend, and I was as frustrated as I could possibly be that he didn't actively supervise this 3 1/2 year old in MY HOUSE. As much as I wanted to relax on Sunday and Monday, I found myself instead continually reminding my son to look out for his toddler son. I didn't get to relax that much...and I don't understand why young parents think they are bullet-proof? -
I appreciate that you're a GREAT comic relief!! Please...don't feel badly for me! You're like the Jerry to my Tom! Thank you!

Rain just started here in Powder Springs.

Do you really not have anything more important to worry about than people who comment on a message board about a commercialized trial? Just curious, since there's millions dying from cancer and hunger, and thousands of people a day getting away with murder. Is it just more fun when there's a message board to jump on? I don't work at being clever. But I do appreciate people who make it so easy.

Go save a puppy, tool. BUT STAY AWAY FROM THE KITTIES!!!

Aaaaand...we're all under a "significant weather advisory." There's "significant" weather going on here at my house.

Please don't think I am being critical of the prosecution. I'm not. They just couldn't prove their case, for all the reasons you mentioned.

Just looked at the radar. Your satellite might have a shot at a career in meteorology. There are some pretty good popup storms forming to our West, moving Northeast. Which will of course further traumatize my dogs, who have been barking all evening at the rednecks who had unspent fireworks they've been shooting off all evening. I'm hoping for a HUGE soaking rain with no thunder.

The prosecution made the defense's job easier by reaching for more than they could ever deliver. Baez did a great job in poking holes in the prosecution's case in his closing arguments. But up until then, I think he was floundering all over the place. Unlike so many others, I respect they jury's decision, because it was honest and brave. They judged based on the case they were given. They didn't see the cr@p so many others were subjected to throughout the media circus that has swirled around this case. Make no mistake--I think Casey is guilty. But I didn't see this the way the jury

I turned mine on, too. Although I find and electric porch light vigil a little odd... Rest well in our small gesture, sweet Caylee. You are loved and mourned by so many.

Mine too...to a point. I wanted to believe that it was an "accident." I'm still not convinced that it wasn't, but for the computer searches. That and the seeming deliberateness the tape would appear to have been placed with. I just don't know, but I do *believe* that Caylee died as a result of her mother's abuse. I believe that. And that doesn't matter at all. ES, I DO believe she had crappy counsel. Really crappy. Baez was a bumbling idiot. I don't see this as the defense "won" as much as the prosecution "lost." As much as I find the verdict absolutely heartbreaking, I believe it

I just rescheduled my 2:00 meeting!

Thanks! I have no clue why someone would do that. I guess they mistook mr for the Fireworks Scrooge!

But there's almost always another road folks can take if they don't like the round-about.

Shhhhhhhh! My Corgi has finally fallen asleep. I'm going to follow her lead and hope the rednecks gave up. Goodnight!

More than arguing with people who didn't want to listen to the audio link?
-
And the problem is? Some people don't wish to listen to an audio link. I don't. Same idea. Text-based story. Problem...? You'd rather call people illiterate and give them nothing to READ?
-
How hard is it for you to post a link to the companion text article? Your link Seriously, there's just a whole lot of folks who'd rather not listen to NPR, or maybe can't, or just don;t want to. Instead of tossing stones because they don't, why not provide an alternate link to a text-based article? I support legislation that requires E-verify, BTW.

You win.

Thanks. Me too.

And that's supposed to make me feel better...how?

Questions about Casey Anthony's defense strategy
TabbyCat replied to baseballmom's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I feel for the Anthony's neighbors. I remember what it was like when our neighbors were murdered and our dead-end street (that ends at MY house) was turned into a media and sight-seer free-for-all. I'm glad they are offering the neighborhood some relief. There's nothing to see there, but people are so strange when it comes to such things. -
I'm so curious what your post said before it was edited! But seriously...I don't understand why folks are out there trying to light explosives in the rain. And my head hurts from my dog barking NON-STOP for about 4 1/2 hours now. I just want it all to stop so I can sleep. And get rid of this massive headache.
