Our home has lost so much value over the last three years, I feel like a yard sale ought to be literal to sell the yard. It is beyond depressing. Our home's assessed value has declined more than $56,000 in three years. All of my equity is GONE. All of it. For the first time ever since this declining market, I find myself upside-down in my loan. There is a HUGE part of me that sees walking away as a viable option. I LOVE my home. I DETEST what's happening to its value. I'm unhappy about this, AND I VOTE.

If the "family" couldn't give a rat's azz about the child and his well-being, I see NO reason to keep them in the loop. I agree with a lot of what folks have already posted. It's not a "social class." Trashy is ACTION. If you bring 5 kids to the playground at McD's and you don't watch them as they monopolize the whole playground: TRASHY. I'm sorry. If he's never done anything for his grandson, why would he suddenly start for his great grandson? I wouldn't ask him for a glass of water if I was on fire, if I were in your place. In the end, he loses. But I'd write him off, personally.

If you don't expect things from undependable people, you can't be disappointed. While perhaps it would have been kind and decent for grampaw to help out, it isn't really his responsibility. And who knows how much he's already put out to help his grandson. Baby daddy needs to step up. If he can't personally help, it's up to him, not you, to ask grampaw for the help needed. But yeah, I'd be pursuing the broken down car thing, "family" or not.

I will not go into that Wal Mart unless there is nothing else open anywhere and they have something I can ONLY get there. I haven't been there in years. That place is skeery.

I traveled this weekend to North Carolina (wasn't the race yesterday EXCITING?!?! I was THERE!) Friday when I drove over there, I stopped in GA when I saw gas for $3.69. I was all over getting gas for that "low" price. Just down the road in SC, it dropped to $3.44. In just a few miles? On the way back home today, gas was $3.75 in NC. When I got into SC, I filled my tank for $3.39. Just a few miles down the road in GA? It went up to $3.69. Seriously folks, in a matter of about 5 miles, prices went up .30 cents a gallon! Wow. I never saw anyone seriously dis him in this thread. Just the opposite. But that single...sucks. He was my favorite and I'm glad he won, but that song...well, it's unfortunate that THAT song has to be his first single.
