You know I you, and I agree with your point generally. But let me hear you say that if one of your boys is still living at home at the age of 30 working on his third degree and never worked a day at a real job... (and let me say, lest there be some confusion, that's NOT a situation I'm in or would find myself in...but it HAPPENS.) At some point, it has to mean enough to the person desiring it to make the sacrifices it takes to reach the goal. When there are cuts that affect kids in elementary, middle, and HS grades negatively, saving money to apply it to primary and seco

I get negatives for the most innocent posts! It amuses me. I see it happening to other folks, too. I think some people tend to take a disliking to some other people at times, and then anything they post gets a negative. I wonder if they think it hurts? I'll plus you bigsky when I see you have a negative.

I'm in Powder Springs, and it's not here yet, but radar shows it's close. It looks like the worst of it will be south of me, but it's right over Draketown now and will hit Villa Rica and Douglasville soon...

As I mentioned earlier this week, today is my wedding anniversary. I was expecting that we'd have a nice dinner (we did--last night at Pappacito's--mmmmm--the shrimp brochette is AMAZING!) and some flowers (which I got--the planting kind, not the plucked kind, which I prefer--yellow daisy mums like this and a white mini-rose bush like this) but the gift I didn't expect was a FISHING BOAT, like this! I know most ladies probably wouldn't enjoy a fishing boat as an anniversary present, but I'm not one of them. I love to fish! In fact, I arranged a deep-sea fishing trip as part of our honeymoo

Juror #2 sheds some light on 'not guilty' verdict

I'm trying to understand exactly what's meant by "jury brainwashing." I think I might know what you mean, but can you explain so I can be sure I understand? -

Is it true what they say about minikirts after 35?

I LIVE in cute little dresses in the summertime, and I don't think they are age inappropriate. If they were so short that I'd have to worry about bending over, that would be an ugly thing. But I don't wear anything so short that my kids would be embarrassed. But pretty regularly, like daily?, I wear cute dresses that are above the knee. By about three inches or so. I'm tall and thin, so I guess that helps...but I have no problem with wearing something short. I like it that I can. -
So could you tell all of my neighbors who didn't get to light all their fireworks on Monday that it's now July 7th and they can STOP? PLEASE??

Kim!!!! You know that wasn't a blanket statement I hope, right? I was 22 when my oldest was born. She's the MOST AMAZING person I know, and I raised her while I was still a kid myself!! I you, clever girl. I know you rock. Please bring that precious girl by to see me soon! She's growing up too fast! And trust me, they do that! -
Am I the only one who finds it ironic that you post this "wisdom" at 11:21 PM on a Wednesday night? ON PCOM???

It is absolutely DISGUSTING that anyone--Casey, her family, the jurors or defense or prosecution--ANYONE would profit from this case. It absolutely cheapens the life and the death of a sweet and innocent child. But they will. They all will. And that's just sad. It seems a little bit to me like spitting on Caylee's grave. But it will happen. It's started already. And folks will watch the movies and buy the books.
-
The sad thing is, I don't think we'll ever know. I know what *I* believe--Casey killed that innocent baby, and she will never face the justice she SHOULD face. But if the case couldn't be proven, the jury did what was right and legal. It SUCKS. But the prosecution couldn't prove her guilt. It is what it is. It hurts that no one will feel the hand of justice for the CRIME of callously disposing of her child, the "system" worked as it should--and there was reasonable doubt because that tiny body dumped in a swamp wasn't discovered for 6 months and there was little left of her

She said basically what I have said all along...they suspected that Casey was guilty, but the state didn't PROVE it. And they didn't. I feel a bit "dirty" watching this, I will admit. ABC paid for this woman's interview. They took her whole family to Disney and gave her who knows how much money for her to talk. That is soooooooo completely disgusting. And early on in this case, ABC paid her $200,000 for rights to her photos. They truly suck, enabling people to profit from the death of an innocent baby. I hate it. But...I am watching. Now they're idolizing Jose Baez.
