I think even entertaining the "What ifs" implies a lack of trust. Either you trust someone, or you don't. There's no in between.

While it might not be that way for all couples, I trust my husband, and he trusts me.

>>Trying to care...TRYING to CARE<< ......................... Nope. It's just not there.

And some people around here just need to get over it and move on.

You can watch the full interview online here. Trust me, this one is worth watching, when you have time. That is one amazing young woman. Her mother raised a wonderful girl, and I am so happy that they are reunited, in spite of all the pain. Her story in her own words is truly remarkable. I would like to read the book, too. Though I'm sure much of it is heart wrenching. As others have said, her articulateness is unbelievable. She's such an intelligent and gentle woman.

Thanks, everyone! We're trying to determine what the registration rules are for a boat this size...? We were told that if we ran it as electric on the trolling motor, we wouldn't require registration, but if we add a gas motor, we'll need to register. Does anyone know? Papi--I told my husband (you know him ) what you said about your "French" lab, and he cracked up! Blondiega1, my Chihuahua is a big sissy, too. She acts all tough, but >>whispering<< she's not. Hubs and I will have to get in touch soon...we'd love to use your little lake for our maiden voyage...

You're probably right! What's not fair is for people to automatically assume anyone who takes an alternative route is of course just too stupid to do it the "normal" way. That's simply not the case. Yes, there are many who give up. There may be any number of reasons that happens...and sometimes, it unquestionably is academic inability. But it's sad that many folks automatically assume that's the case, when it's not always. I used to be ashamed of my GED. The farther I got away from it and the more I succeeded, the less shame I felt, and today, I have none at all. It was a means to

I don't think folks who take the GED route are all dumbasses. And *I* know sometimes life dictates something different than what we might have chosen had we had better choices. I have a GED AND a Master's degree. And an awesome career. These aren't mutually exclusive. I had a family situation that required immediate change, too, and I made the change that was needed. I also got my GED before my classmates walked for graduation... There are lots of folks who just don't want to deal with school, and they quit. They should have every opportunity to get that GED once they reali

What an amazing story. What an awesome young woman. She has so much to teach about love, and hope. So does her mom. In spite of the horror, you can't help but feel so happy for them, that they are back together as a family again. Wow.

No argument from me! Sometimes ZC and I agree. Sometimes we don't. Sometimes I feel she's a little bristly, but sometimes she's jabbed with bristles. Just like anyone with strong opinions on this board. I don't think things need to get as personal as the regularly seem to on here, from BOTH sides (and I'm not speaking from a position of innocence, either), but they often don;t have to get as nasty and personal as they do. I have friends with vastly different political beliefs than mine, but I'd never demean them in a f2f political conversation. Sometimes it might help to think that

There's more popping up out to our west, but Alabama and Florida are sucking it away from us!

I think we should more closely monitor WIC, but not cut it entirely. Early childhood nutrition is critical to brain development. Very young kids shouldn't have to suffer nutritionally because they were born to very young parents. There should be greater monitoring of WIC, but I would not be for seeing it eliminated entirely.

My youngest is a chihuahua...they might find "play" a bit challenging!! But I have a kitten that'll give her a whats-for!
