A Black And White Photo Still Look Good To Me
TabbyCat replied to Eddie Bennett's topic in RECENT TOPICS
She's beautiful TP, and I know you're proud! Most especially because of her achievements. You have every right to be proud! And a new great-grandbaby? Congrats!! In her looks she reminds me a bit of Julianna Margulies: See here. -
Mine, too! I don't really want to slap anyone. But I could do a better job of ignoring those who irritate me.
-
Tempting new topic title: "How many years has it been since you took the SAT, and how much do you use it to define yourself today?" Sorry. That just struck me, so I commented. Carry on, please.

No one has forced anyone to buy an iPhone or an iPad. That's a choice that the consumer makes on a personal level, and plenty of people have made that choice. The price of purchase vs. the cost of production has no relation to this particular discussion, though you might enjoy the debate in a thread dedicated to that topic. I won't debate it here. My son-in-law, who has worked for years in television/mobile app production/creation etc., posted this tribute on his FB page. I thought it was well said: "Dear Steve, My whole career has been centered on the edge of entertainment and

This thread is about the passing of Steve Jobs. Just saying. The Internet is a plenty big enough place to bicker elsewhere. This is what this little space is about: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ImE8ZyoKUaQ
-
The most tangible and respectable thing about Jobs was that he wasn't driven by success, but rather by a passion for what he did. He loved his job, and from that came great things. That's the magic we've lost, but surely something we all can learn from.

I'll be watching tomorrow! I was enjoying it so much tonight...and didn't realize it ended on the half hour. They started running credits and I was all, "HEY!! I'm not finished watching yet!!" Off to finish up some laundry, then I'm tuning in to SVU at 10:00. It's just not the same without Elliot.
-
I don't know why, but she reminds me of Judy Garland.
-
Red lips actually did well tonight. Someone should smack Simon, though!

Chris: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dYPTS_39I8g Melanie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ll7hNBpw5ic Wow.
-
Yep, that would be Chris. I don't listen to his style of music, but I think he's something! Josh sounded like he was trying too hard. It sounded forced, and painful. Ick. And I don't think he's showered since his original audition.
-
TYPO ALERT! It's Melanie Amaro. And I think she's major competition for everyone. And, like I said after his initial audition, Chris will be a major competitor too, as long as he can stay clean and keep it together. His raw talent is just awesome, but then so is Melanie's. I am really enjoying this show so far!
-
The ones I liked best in auditions, I mostly still like now. With the exception of Stacy--she's the one with the note a month long. Chris Rene and Melanie Anaro. And Josh Krajcik.
-
I missed it...who? You mean the extended note singing 42 year-old Mom? (Can't remember her name offhand...) That extended note hurt.
-
I'm playing!

I edited the title...and took out the "testpubbyslink" sub-topic. I don't want to "win" anything for posting this news. That just feels...tacky. Thanks.
-
Amen, lowrider. Cancer SUCKS!
-
Wow! Sorry for the typo in the heading...I just got the news...ironically...on my iPhone.

OK, this is all a bit interesting. My house is green. A red door looks good on a green house. But when I first moved in here, it was a gray-blue. A red door looked good then, too. I just took my pups out in the backyard for their last potty break before bed. I noted that my BACK door is also red...same shade as the front door. What color is YOUR back door? True, it's not on the front of your home, but if front door color says something, doesn't also back door color? So fess up--what color is your back door?
-
Mine is red and has been since I moved in here. Repainted the house AND the door a few times...but I've kept my RED door. So...what does that mean? You can't ask the question without posting some color-related hypotheses.
-
And you expected a pcom thread to stay completely on-topic? Sorry. Hugs to you. But...topics rarely are linear here. I usually embrace the eclecticism. I find that's a whole bunch easier than fighting it.
-
Yep, all the extras started less than 7 years ago, but not by much.
-
Hijack response... It was GOOD, but then I LOVE House. I was a bit lost, because I missed the season finale last season. But there was lots of intrigue, and of course, House being House, even in prison. I asked my husband, "How is he going to get back to his life after being in prison?" And my husband said, "Maybe this is all just a dream..." ARGH!! It reminded me of a couple of seasons ago (and some episodes since then) where we're taken through this whole House oddessy only to find out at the end of the episode (or the next week or whatever) that the whole thing was a

I really could care less that he's trans-gender. It makes no difference whatsoever to me. I have known people "born in the wrong bodies" personally, and I believe they believe that's what happened to them. It's not my place to say it didn't. However, he's been a really crappy dancer. This is a show about dancing. Crappy dancers shouldn't come out on top (bad choice of words, no? ) just because of their gender status. It's a show about dancing, not about the politics of gender.
