  1. I missed the first 40 minutes. Someone fill me in real quick?
  2. I agree! I use broth sometimes, too, especially if you're making it for a quick dinner. The water works better if you're making it in the crock pot and cooking it slowly all day, which is what I usually do. I never make it the same way twice! But it's always good!
  3. TACO SOUP 1-1.5 lbs. hamburger (ground turkey works fine) 1 chopped onion 2 cans diced stewed tomatoes, with juice (Mexican seasoned tomatoes work really well, but regular will do) 1 can pinto beans 1 can black beans 1 can red kidney beans 1 can kernel corn 1 pkg. taco mix seasoning 1 pkg. Ranch dressing mix Water to make broth as thin/thick as you want--less water=thicker soup Brown meat with chopped onion. Drain off fat. Add tomatoes, beans and corn (drain and rinse the black beans). Add dry taco mix and dry Ranch dressing mix. Add desired amount of water for soup broth. Brin
  4. I'm not saying ear piercing is bad. Or any other kind of piercing, for that matter. If an individual chooses to have holes poked in his/her body to hang things from, that's their choice. Which is my point. Infants can't make that choice, yet people have no problem with folks making that decision for them. I don't think it's heinous or criminal. I just fail to understand the distinction. I don't think minor children should be allowed to get tattoos. I told my daughter (who has several now) that she could do what she wanted once she was 18, but until she was old enough to be of
  5. I completely agree. I am currently developing a curriculum for a paperless classroom--with all pieces delivered on the iPad. So obviously, I'm a HUGE proponent!
  6. And there's something wrong with this?
  7. Girl, we need to find you a hobby. One that doesn't involve Google.
  8. Seriously? I've never known an infant who asked to have holes poked in her earlobes so that she could wear baubles there.
  9. I mix it back in. It didn't sneak in there--it's part of the product. It's just separated and needs a little help to blend back in.
  10. I thought about that. That may be it. It seems to me "for medical purposes by licensed practitioners" would be...I dunno...less odd. It's not considered a "tattoo" in the same regard as what this boy received when it's done for radiation treatment. I have no idea. It's just oddly written.
  11. "Georgia law from 2010 states, “It shall be unlawful for any person to tattoo the body of any person under the age of 18, except a physician or osteopath.” Which begs the question...why is it "legal" for a "physician or osteopath" to tattoo a minor child? What kind of goofy--a$$ law is that?
  12. I'm watching! Tina looks so pretty, and so different! I don't think I would have recognized her!
  13. You obviously haven't spent much time in Midtown Atlanta. I'd be broke if I gave a dollar to everyone down there who asks.
  14. I work in Midtown. I get approached by panhandlers on a daily basis. I have found that a firm "NO!" is all that's necessary. If you stop to listen to their story, they have their hook in you. Don't doubt for a second that's not the truth. I give to help the homeless and hungry through RECOGNIZED avenues set up just for such help. You won;t get a slim dime from me if you approach me on the street with a request for my money. A firm "NO!" always does the trick, and trust me, they get it, and they try their ploy on the person walking 10 paces behind me. My rejection only tells them they h
  15. What a sweet old photo!! I especially adore the devilish look on the little boy who's about three or so near the left edge of the picture. His glare at the camera is just priceless!!
  16. Absolutely agree. Nasty is too kind.
  17. The Getty was my favorite place when I visited this summer. But I'm kinda geeky. It's a HUGE museum stuffed with all kinds of art from the Middle Ages to the present. So worth the visit. And always FREE to get in. The Getty
  18. Not at all. The extra weight bothers those who have to lug it around every day far more than the ones who only see the person they care for lugging it. Those folks only see the person they care for. It's taken me a while to learn that. My husband (who also packed on the xtra 20 after quitting) helped me to see that. And my friends, who only see me.
  19. I agree. And Mark, the weight looks good on you, but I understand. I packed on the xtra 20 after quitting, too. Working on getting rid of the last 12 still. Funny how much easier it is to add than remove.
  20. Parmesan crusted tilapia filet with grilled veggies.
  21. The one I hear the most is Lisa Kudrow.
