Same here. It was POURING, but it's slowed now. We even had some thunder for the drama effect. Looking at the radar, it seems the little mini freak storm has moved on, and will be followed by dreary drizzle for the next few hours. I can't complain too much about the chilly rain when I think back to the winter we had last year. As I recall, we had snow on Christmas Day, right? And then the awful city shut-down with the freak snow storm? Right? I can live with this!

And 58 degrees... What month is this again?

They don't call it crack for nuthin'!! I make a similar recipe to yours with pretzels. Seriously, you can't stop eating these things!! RANCH DRESSING PRETZELS 2 bags hard pretzels 1 lg. bottle Orville Redenbacher popcorn oil 1 pkg. Ranch dressing 1 tbsp. dill weed 1 tbsp. garlic salt Mix ingredients until pretzels are well-coated and put in the oven 1 hour at 200 degrees. THESE. ARE. AMAZING!!!

Crack 2 blocks of cream cheese 2 – 3 cans vegetarian refried beans 2 small jars salsa (or 1 large jar) 2 packages of taco seasoning mix 2.5 – 3 lbs ground beef 1.5-2 cups grated cheddar Brown the ground meat in a pan. Add the taco seasoning mix and cook according the instructions, which I think is universally add water and the contents of the packets and cook some more. Take out a large Pyrex baking dish. Drop the two blocks of cream cheese into the Pyrex dish. Spread the two blocks of cream cheese on the bottom of the baking dish. You aren’t painting. There is no grade

Now if they would just regulate grocery baggers at stores that still use the plastic bags to put MORE THAN ONE ITEM in each bag. Seriously. I had all those things together in the grocery basket. I really don't mind if they ride home in the same bag.

BahHumbug. I did read the T&Cs. They do not store personally identifiable info from sender or recipient. I wouldn't expect them to transmit something from my number to another number without the actual numbers.

Maybe you'll be unblocked if you clear your cache? My four year-old Grandson was delighted with his Santa call!

I thank you and your family for the effort you put into this and for the REAL JOY you share through all the work you do. You are true ambassadors of Christmas spirit, and again, I thank you!

I know very little about the political situation following the death of KJI. Very little at all. I doubt I'm alone...it's not something we've (as a social conscious--not considering the political implications) have thought a great deal about. He's very young. That's concerning. Time will tell. My guess is that his father's influence has been influential.
-
His third son, Kim Jong Un, Western educated I hear? Has been groomed to be his father's successor for many months now. Unless he chooses to go rogue, my guess is that his grooming involved carrying on with his father's regime, and he will.

I think you were fortunate on your trade, because I'd need a brain biopsy for mental competency if I ever gave anyone a dime for a truck with 270,000 miles on it, no matter what the make or model was.

Seriously? Someone spends the time, the $$$, and the expertise to provide an excellent light show, and someone feels it's OK to complain about the timing and the quality? SERIOUSLY?? I apologize if I sound a bit like Scrooge, but really, the people who decorate their homes with lights and ask others to come and share their joy should be free of criticism because there are dumb@$$ people in this world who would do such unimaginable things like cut the power lines to their display OR stay too long in the cul-de-sac as if no one else came to see the same lights. >>>breath

Just wondering...are you able to pass a mirror without mugging at yourself? Do you see yourself as an Evangelist when that image smiles back at you? I'm guessing you DO Dear Mr. Evangelist: Jesus himself left the whole religious thing up to the choice of the individual. I sure hope you don't piss him off by insisting folks all believe as you do. Because a larger figure than YOU already said we didn't have to. But you know the Bible so you already know that, right? Jesus also said we're to hate the sin but love the sinner. If Jesus had the Internet, I'm guessin

NOT directed at you MrsB...but just a general observation...isn't it interesting that those who would scream the loudest about the rightness of sneaky legislation that would deny women access to birth control are also the ones who yell the loudest about their irresponsibility in having children they can't support?

Not quite sure why you felt it pertinent to explain the influence of the NTSB to me. I am aware of their relative weight. My comment was about the mention you made of a proposed law that holds texters to greater liability for accidents. This is about the NTSB's recommendation about a complete ban on using cell phones while driving.

See? That's pretty much how we did it, too. I have three kids. They got the mom and dad gifts Christmas Eve, all wrapped. But Christmas morning...that was THE BIG EVENT. The kids would come out, and each had a place under the tree, signified by a gift they really wanted, but any gifts from Santa came unwrapped. Santa is a busy guy! He has a list and all that! He needs to be able to look over the inventory and say "Suzie wanted THIS doll, and Johnny wanted THAT truck." Santa has to deliver a LOT of toys on Christmas Eve. How would he EVER know what was what if he couldn't see the gifts

And I wonder, Pubby, what it is you're talking about? THIS thread is about the NTSB's recommendation for a BAN on cell phone use while driving. If you're talking about some proposed legislation for tougher penalties, well, uhm, THAT'S NOT WHAT THIS THREAD IS DISCUSSING. Just thought you might want to check up on that. NTSB recommends a TOTAL BAN. That doesn't sound like something that simply establishes "that it is a bad idea and if a wreck happens, it is less of an 'accident' and you're more responsible because of the natural increase in inattentiveness." If you're talking about stat

PS: I HATE talking while driving, too, and I try to avoid it. Sometimes though, it can be useful. Last night while my grandson and his mom were in Midtown with me to see the show at the Fox, we were in separate vehicles going separate ways after the show was over. I was going I-20, and they were going I-75. She was behind me, and I saw that she was uncertain which way to go. I VALUED having my cell phone with me then, so I could help her get to I-75 (her GPS couldn't get a signal, we were in Midtown at the GA Tech campus, and it was dark outside). I pulled over, called her, and ask

We agree, mrnn. And we also agree, Pubby...don't know why every response has to be seen as adversarial. Yes, laws against drunk driving have stopped a bunch of dumb people, especially those who are the most egregious offenders. That is good. But it wouldn't take a year-long study of simple interviews to discover VERY QUICKLY that there are WAY more people who have driven/continue to drive under the influence than those who have been caught and faced "justice." Driving the wrong way on the Interstate and causing a fatal accident is a pretty sure indication that one has behaved stu

One is also more inattentive if one is eating, putting on makeup, yelling at the kids to hush, trying to make sure the seatbelt doesn't wrinkle thier suit on the way to that important meeting/job interview... There are "accidents" caused by people "breaking the law" in regards to speeding or driving carelessly, but I would guess that MANY more are caused by folks engaged in the things I just listed. So, are we going to police all of that? If not, why not? I'm not saying the use of cell phones, whether talking or texting (or perhaps just trying to find your phone in your car/purse/pock
