Grilled chicken breasts, fresh green beans cooked with bacon, Vidalia onion, and Yukon gold potatoes, and cucumber/onion salad with my home-grown cucumbers and onions. Mmm.

I'm watching 40' pine trees bend in ways that ain't natural. Thankfully, they're not around my house--but they ARE around my neighbors' across the way. In the last few months, I've watched TWO of those break in half and hit my neighbors' houses. Really...it's unreasonably windy over here. Just crazy windy. I WANT SOME RAIN!!!!

Marietta is under a sever TS warning until 5:00, I believe. Just heard it on my weather alert radio. So are Acworth, Sandy Springs, Smyrna, Buckhead...can't remember where all else it said...you can probably find the alert on weather.com.

SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 490 IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT

I certainly could be wrong, but it looks to me on the current radar that the whole system will go to the North and East of us. I'd love it if we just got the corner, with some good, soaking rain. Hmmm...my weather alert radio just went off...nevermind. -
I believe questions concerning alimony and property divisions are matters of law decided by a judge. Questions beginning with "should" require a subjective answer, which may be quite different than the legal one.

I asked a friend who is also on FT to harvest for me when I was out of town. I gave her my login, and she took care of things while I was away.
-
Oh, I know...it's just difficult to plan my day around a harvest every 4 hours! Anyway, I'm in no hurry. I'll get there when I get there. One thing I do wish they had was something like plowing a whole field with one or two clicks instead of having to click on EVERY. SINGLE. PLOT. It's boring and time-consuming when you have a large farm with lots of plots! Hey let me ask folks...sometimes when you're plowing/planting, does the ticker show that you've been charged for plowing/planting, but the crop (or plowed plot) doesn't show on the field? It irks me when that happens. Y
-
Well, don't feel too bad. I was rearranging things after expanding my farm last week, and I accidentally DELETED MY BARN!
-
"Lost" as in you didn't harvest them in time? I sent one of my friends/neighbors a message today telling her if she didn't get busy, her whole farmful of onions was gonna waste! I'm in no hurry to get to the whatever level, so the four days is no problem for me. I do it for fun and relaxation, so I figure I'll get there when I get there. Plus, once my sunflowers are harvested, I'll probably plant those fields with faster crops to keep the points going...

While I'm pretty certain that we haven't heard the end of this story, I must admit I'm a bit torn. IF Homes for Our Troops asserts that they weren't notified of the other homes and in fact that the family "concealed" ownership of these homes and are able to back that up with acceptable documentation, then perhaps they have a valid reason for the decision they made. At this point, you have two sides, each saying something completely opposite from the other. So either there was some kind of miscommunication, or one side isn't factual. This soldier's story is heartbreaking enough withou

I just made level 25 this evening and planted 80% of my farm with pumpkins! (The other 20% has sunflowers almost ready. )
-
Yup. Then I can grow me some BIG melons! Meanwhile, onions and coffee are pretty profitable crops.
-
I play. Too much. Level 24 here, pushing 25. Booting seems to be a part of the game.

Uhhhmmmm...isn't that the same link I posted above? (Never mind--I see now that the topics were merged. My apologies!) JibJab does some funny stuff. Lookie at this one, Titled "Ride Obama's Unicorn"!

One of the hardest things we've ever had to do...
TabbyCat replied to dawneykids's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Awww, ((((HUGS)))) to all of you. Y'all did what you did because you care, and not because you're mean rotten nasty and ungrateful kids. I hope when she gets her head clear, she can see that your actions were for her safety and best interest. I know it must have been hard, but hopefully the reward will be a MIL you can have around to love/torture you for years and years to come! -
Well, yeah...I know it sounds odd...but you'd have to see her to understand. She's really compact, and so small I'd never have guessed she weighs over 2 1/2 lbs! So yeah...it sounds odd...but it fits! OMG I LOVE that!!! The chi the little girl is holding at the beginning looks like Chewie, only older.
-
I know--she LOOKS tiny--but almost three pounds at just 9 weeks--I was thinking she wouldn't weigh more than 6 full-grown! Poor lil thing...I just picked her up and she yelped--I think she's a little sore from her shots. But her Big Daddy (my husband) just took her out to do her business and run around the yard. They're out there playing now, and she's challenging the "big dogs"!
-
Oddly, I do!
-
And she weighs 2 lbs 12 oz!!! She's just under 9 weeks old...so I'm thinking that's kinda big...but if you saw her, you'd swear she was a tiny little thing! I was shocked! And the vet referred to her as "stocky." Just curious, other Chi owners...what do you feed yours? And how much? I don't think I'm over-feeding her, but I wasn't ready for her to be that "big"! She's completely healthy, parasite-free, and started on her puppy shots. The vet tech told me that Chi's aren't like larger dogs--that their weight levels off between 4-6 months, and that by tha

Oh, I think there are some people who could definitely benefit from claw removal--much more than any cat could.
-
It gives me hope to know yours get along well. I have two "larger" dogs--a 30 lb Corgi and a 17 lb mutt--but in the 2 1/2 weeks I've had my pup, though I let them interact, I'm keeping full interaction to a minimum. Chewie is still just so small, and they are so eager to "play" with her, especially the mutt. Tonight I had them all out in the yard together. The two bigger dogs were running free, but I had Chewie on a leash. It went well. I'm looking forward to the day when I feel safe with them all being out together. I'm sure Chewie will hold her own, but she needs to be a little big
-
I have discovered that my sweet little chi puppy Chewie has an absolutely EVIL side to her. And it shows itself when you try to keep her from doing something she really wants to do...like attack the cat four times her size. Oh, it's an ugly little thing hiding beneath all that puppy sweetness. It snarls and shows its fangs. It growls and threatens. She honestly believes she's MUCH larger than she actually is.

I see that now, but that's just a "Country Buffet"...the seafood is only Friday and Saturday? Thanks for the tip. We might have to give them a try. I'm not generally a buffet kinda gal, but we love good buffets. They're just hard to find.
