Just playing Devil's advocate here.... What about the folks who owned their land long before the City owned any of that land? There are homes out there that have been standing & in the same family since 1940... What about the folks whose family land (owned since the 1940's) has been forcefully taken and used for this airport? Do they not have a right to be upset? And if you don't believe that, check and see how many lawsuits have been filed.

Call a real estate attorney and ask about "adverse possession", used to be known as "squatter's rights". Adverse possession is the taking of title to real estate by possessing it for a certain period of time. If a person moves into possession of property, improves it and possesses it in a public manner, then after a certain amount of time he will acquire title to the property even though it is actually owned by someone else. I left my driveway on Gold Mine Road this morning at 8 and made it to S. Atlanta Road without a problem in about an hour and 15 minutes. Just be careful, don't speed & don't tailgate.

The American Legion Post 111 on Scoggins Road helps local families at Christmas. They will gladly except them. Also the marines do the Toys for Tots and there are plenty of rop off places for them.
