The reason for the cancellations is because the Uniformed Division Officers normally tasked with securing the tours will be reassigned to other security posts at the White House. The move will reduce overtime costs and may reduce the number of furloughs the Secret Service could potentially face. Sequester......Dumb spending costs across the board....Read about it....I did the tour a few years ago...You really aren't missing that much. You get to see 3 or 4 rooms....Not that big of a deal................It is even self guided. It is more about the security getting into the White House.

I was just near-sighted. 250 and 350 in my eyes. I was so blind. I only need reading glasses for very small print, like med bottles. Some people get mono vision with their lasik...But it is only a temp fix 10 years or so....So I didn't have it done. My eye DR is the BOMB!!!!!! Well worth the $$$$$$$$$ I spent to be able to see without glasses or contacts.

Sounds like you are talking about MONOVision...I had contacts before my LASIK. But I had contacts with the bifocals built in. Why not get them and have your true RX?

Get a freelance job with AOL. I have a friend that does that. I think she makes about 1500K a month.

I have only been on one blind date in my life and I would never invite a stranger to my house for a date. I have never hidden dishes in my oven but I do hide towels blankets etc in my dryer when company is coming over. If the date went well and you end up with each other you always can look back at this and laugh. It really isn't that big of a deal. Just make sure the bathrooms are clean

2 suggestions 1 would be that you could just point to the thread and see what the topic is about without having to click on it to pull it up. 2 if someone posts a pic in a thread that you have to be a mbr to see it. Two things that my local message board already does that I do like.

I'm not giving up my SUGAR..I have cut down on it a bit. I stopped my 2 Pepsi a day habit about 3 years ago. But I still have a soda from time to time and I eat dessert everyday. I just go for a walk after I do it. And let me ADD................Girl Scout cookies are the DEVIL...............

DH retires next month...But it's not true retirment. Just going from the Navy to a civilian job. I won't worry to much. Will just have to see what the future is like in 25+ years. As far as SS I am getting so tired of paying into it..We we get it back? Who knows........... What really irks me is that I was doing my taxes the other day and it say our employer took out 900+ dollars too much. How do I get that back? Can I go to the SS office and say something? We had 5 jobs between us last year and I guess that is where the confusion set in.
