  1. Most enlisted join the military to get money for college and go to school while still in the military since it is 100% covered except for books. Also you get college credits for boot camp and your A School ohhhh I could go on an on but I will stop at that. NO kidding. I was looking at my company job site the other day. They have a job available in GA for an ADMIN ASST and you have to have a Bachelor degree and 5 years experience. I tend to think of an ADMIN ASST as an entry level job. But what do I know right?
  2. I went last summer. The Canadian side is nicer for the view. But it is all American as in restaurants and food in the stores and more expensive. We flew into Buffalo spent the night there to save money drove into Niagara falls spent two nights on the Canada side. We stayed at the Raddison with a fall view. It was more expensive but worth it. The only thing I would change is that I would have only spent one night there and spent the other night in Toronto. We drove to Toronto and did a city tour and didn't have enough time. Toronto was cheaper than Niagara falls. Niagara falls is mo
  3. You had to be selected to go. Commander In Chief’s Ball – Monday, January 21, 2013. Washington Convention Center. For members of the Armed Forces. Tickets will be free for invited guests, including active duty and reserve service members, Medal of Honor recipients and wounded warriors, among others, with troops overseas participating via video. I think you are getting it confused with the Inaugural Ball. We are taking the Metro to much trouble to drive and park.
  4. I am lucky enough to have the opportunity to attend the CinC Ball this year, once in a lifetime chance. Now I have to hurry up and figure out what to wear, how to do my hair. Any ideas? DH has it so easy. He just throws his uniform on LOL

  10. I gave birth to a 2 month old (10lb baby LOL) and I started her on cereal at 4 months. Formula just wasn't satisfying her. I wish I could have waited till 6months. So much easier just bottle feeding her. I always heard that if they eat off a spoon they are ready for solids. I never put cereal in a bottle. She is a happy and almost 12 years old no allergies.

  12. I'm with Surepip if they are boneless and skinless I do not put them in the oven. I would put them in the crockpot to make them tender. Then you can make chicken salad, chicken chili and chicken casserole out of them. Another good recipe is to put them in the crock pot sprinkle some taco seasoning on them and add 1 cup of salsa. This is really good. Add to a tortilla with cheese guacamole makes for a tasty mexican meal.

  16. It's not my first year but it really doesn't get that much easier. I lost my dad just a days before Christmas. This was back in 2001. The year started off so wonderful my my one and only daughter was born in Jan. Then my brother who was only 5o died from a heart attack in Jul then 911 happend which was terrible then my Dad died in Dec. Only thing that comforts me about it was he was 86 and lived a long life and by his passing (Cancer) he was no longer in pain and went to heaven to be with my mother who passed years before him even though she was much younger.
