DallasRed replied to The Sound Guy's topic in Paulding County NEWS

If the economy is getting better, then why in the world
DallasRed replied to subby1's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Paulding county houses have went down in value so much..........when I bought I put down a huge downpayment....Never saw my house being worth almost half of what I paid for it....not quite upside down....My point....I never pulled out any equity, but at the same time I'm glad I didn't bother putting any money into it...Just a renter................. -

Well I just don't see it....The stores are packed in MD, Walmart here does not have a self-ck out, which makes you wait longer in line...It is opended 24-7... I thought well it's MD now I am trying to buy a house in GA, Peachtree City or Newnan....I am waiting on my 3rd offer, seems like it is hard to get a house there. One house I looked at had an offer only one day on the market....One a few weeks ago had a cash offer....These are not cheap houses 250K and up. Maybe it's bad in Paulding...Who knows................I just don't see it...................... Yes, I'm thinkin -

Love it!!!!

If they gave a full price offer, the seller should pay all of the closing costs. There is a funding fee and it depends on how many time you have used the VA loan. ETA I put an offer on a house and the closing costs are going to be around 6K. http://www.pafirsttimehomebuyer.net/va-funding-fee-explanation.html

That is crazy...Usually it is what the rent is for the deposit. I bet that landlord has a hard time renting his house. These prices seem cheap after living in MD for almost 4 years. Going rate here for a 4 bedroom house in 2200-2400 that is why I am living in housing for 1900 a month but that includes utilities at least...First time ever living in housing. It is like I have a 300K mortgage.

I didn't know that....Someone at work had a sign that said STAY CALM AND SING SOFT KITTY...that's what made me say it Thanks I hear ya...I've had two houses built so far...First no problems what so ever, the 2nd well not so much...I would say the house is crying..................

We are at the moment buying new contraction, because it is cheaper than what people are asking for a re-sale house. Some of the houses I looked at in Peachtree City I left laughing at what they were asking for in price. I just ck'd another house I liked in Newnan says it's under Contract...UHHHHHHHH

In Peachtree City? Good to read...I am trying to buy in a place where I never have to move again.....Coming from a military family....I am tired of moving....And I've moved less than most military 20+ year career families have to move.

I am really starting to stress out. I have already been to GA twice looking for a house. It is so overwhelming. Now I have to go back yet again this weekend. One of the houses I liked and saw less than a week ago was sold...It was a resale but I loved it, DH wants to buy a new house...I thought the housing market was terrible? That is what I keep reading on here. NO? Also the new house is going up in price 6K Sat, we cant get to GA before then...Because DH is having his retirement ceremony TOMORROW.....Stresses with that too, family coming in and party etc...... Does anyone have any

That is what I enjoy most about working, getting dressed up and best of all the shopping I hear you about the wear and tear on a vehicle, I am lucky that in MD I only had a 14 mile total commute each day and most days me and DH car pool'd...Not many can do that, he worked just down the street from me and we worked the same hours, unless he had to stay late. That is why we are moving closer to the airport, the thought of DH putting 88 miles on his vehicle each day is madness. It's bad enough that you have to live at least 20 miles away from the airport in the first place, but interstate mil

I'm going to look into it once I get moved and settled into my house....It's a serious pay cut from what I was making, but after taking such a hit on my taxes, I don't think I will mind it to much.

Have fun in FL and please keep posting, I enjoy reading your posts.

That is great you sold your house so fast!! I feel your pain. I am buying south of town. I couldn't believe the prices the re-sales are so I am having a house built but they are able to finish it up in two months....Brand new house for the cost of a re-sale. I had no idea that Peachtree City had a CHO CHO train issue....So I am buying in Newnan and getting a bigger house for less $$$$$$ and less taxes. Good luck finding a house, it is such a pain but it will work out for you. Worst case you can live in a hotel for a few months or maybe be able to rent an appt. That is what I did when
