Please share with me what you think your child learns in that extra 2 hours? I believe that it involves lunch and a state mandated quiet time. So if you feel that cutting this out is impacting your child's learning, then you are in fact using it as a daycare. It is not good use of funds. I did cry it out with both of mine and 10 weeks is too young. They say babies cannot learn or get cause and effect until about 4 mo. of age. Until then, have you tried a swaddle blanket that will pin his limbs and help keep him really comfy? Also, I don't know what kind of swing you have, but my kids were still in a swing at almost a year old. Good Luck!! Trust me, it gets better and in the long run, you will forget all the tough stuff!

You only have so long from when you recieved your new value to file the appeal. You might have missed that window and I am not sure what you can do after that. Good luck! I ended up having to go before the board of equalization and won.

We have trouble with speeders in our neighborhood, also. We talked about it at a neighborhood meeting and there is a huge cost not just for the speed bumps, but all that live in the subdivision when it comes to car repairs and car life. Driving over those bumps is very hard on a car. There are other things to look into that might be better. One neighbor used an orange construction barrel for awhile and the police were called out and said there was nothing they could do. Think outside the box before you make something permenant that will cost you more in the long run than you think.

Grrr!! I just signed up for gtrecycle about 2 weeks ago and paid for a year!!! Glad I will have another option when my year is up!

I have visited 3 Paulding County Parks in the last week and cannot believe the trash that people leave!! If you give your kid a juice box on the play ground, make them throw it in the trash can provided when they are done. If you have to be so disrespectful as to smoke on the playground, at least flick your butts outside of the play area so toddlers don't find them while they are enjoying the area. So, I went to file my appeal today. I was told that someone from the assessor's office will have to come out and do a walk around to make sure everything they have is correct. They didn't do this last year, they simply denied my request and made me waste even more time and $$$ by going before the board of equalization! Why did they not do this in the first place to RAISE my assessment? What exactly is their job description if they don't come out and look at your property before making changes?!? Let's look at where we can cut some costs in this county before just passing it on in the form

I am not complaining about a LOW assessment! Mine went UP AGAIN this year. 2 years in a row in a BAD market! Funny that yours went down 25% and mine went up 15%!! Who did that math?!?

This is what I do not get.....there are 2 other houses on the street that are exactly the same floor plan and sq footage as my home. All built about the same time. How can the building values range from $84,200 to $101,200?!?! Guess which one is mine.....

All lots in our subdivision are valued the same at $30k.

Last year, I had to take my assessment all the way to the Board of Equalization to appeal my increase. I won. I open my assessment and it had gone UP again by almost $20k in today’s market. My home is 21 years old. It is a 5 room (not 5 bedroom…5 ROOM) home. It is valued according to the Assessor’s Office at over $133,000!!! I could go buy a NEW energy efficient home that does not require some of the upkeep mine is needing for LESS than they have valued mine! The house across the street is for sale for $49,900!! As a commercial driver and manager of 6 employees that driver commercially, if you see this type of driving, make a phone call. I would want to know if one of my driver's is being this unsafe! Most commercial driving companies pride themselves on safety and if a driver is putting their reputation at risk, they NEED to know about it. Get a truck # and location and make the call.

I agree with the comments about truck drivers! Please, remember safe following distance and leave it for a truck before pulling in front of them. I will keep the rider and driver in my thoughts!

Our 2 employees and my family had a great time today giving out "FedEx Flyers", pencils and tours of our truck. I don't think we could have been any luckier with the weather. We got there in a little shower and left just before the bottom gave out! It was a fun and good time! Thanks Paulding Co. Parks and Rec and all those that came to enjoy the TRUCKS!!!!

That is what I am hoping!! We ordered stuff to give away, talked some employees into coming out for some extra pay and a free t-shirt, and have been talking this up! I want to have fun!!
