  1. I don't know why anything shocks anymore /puke
  2. I'm more of a hermit. I know who my neighbors are .. but that's about it. I say Hi to them when passing ... ect. Other than that, I try to give them the same privacy that I cherish.
  3. First off, I've never been in a " clique ". In school, I ate my lunch alone. I don't believe in conformity at all. I take a look around and decide what's best for me. You've always had this thing for me .. creepy. Where you think you know me so well. Very scary that you would take the time. I have had one good friend my entire life. She's been my best friend since childhood. Even she doesn't know me as well as you think you do. I don't go around yelling that I'm " different" .. I just am. I always have been. It's not always fun and it can be lonely. Like I said I don't go around looking to gi
  4. LOL, her husband is an awesome Chiropractor I've never met Pubby's wife, I'm pretty sure she's an incredible lady as well.
  5. She is pretty incredible and her husband rocks as well
  6. My kids young and old all love Spongebob and Fairly Oddparents. They also love the classics .. Looney Toons, Tom and Jerry .. We have them on DVD.
  7. I don't let it get in my way. I will be the first to admit that I'm not all there lol. I am not perfect, nor have I have ever claimed to be. We all live our lives based on experience. We make mistakes and hopefully learn from them. I think we all wish we could take some of our knowledge and give it to others. There are many things in life that I haven't experienced. I wish that I could. I believe that knowledge is power and we gain knowledge through experience and learning from others. I have 4 teenagers .. and they actually listen to what I have to say. I think that's a blessing right there.
  8. Well, a few years ago, she became more of a stalker. It was creepy .. almost obsessive. I put her on ignore, hoping she would get the point and pick a new target. She's never liked me, and that's okay. I've been on this forum for many years and she's the only person I've ever had to put on ignore. I respect people and their opinions. I however, will have nothing to do with psycho bullies. and IMO that is what she was. Has she changed ? grown up ? I hope so, for her sake. And yes I said something negative about someone .. something I rarely ever do.
  9. Thank you, and that's really all I was trying to point out. I also don't give advice to those that don't ask. I'm not some health guru lol. I just try to help when I can.
  10. I learn new tricks everyday .. it keeps us young
  11. I want to thank those who defended me. As far as DGITW goes .. I didn't see her post, as I've had her on ignore now for a couple of years " long story ". I did however, go back and read her post. Here is my reply. Condescending ?? I don't think that's the right word for me anyway. You see I'm not a member of PETA. I don't go around and tell people that they are wrong and I am right. I cook meat every night for members of my family, despite it disgusting me. My youngest daughter LOVES pepperoni and as much as I don't think it's good for her, I buy it for her. I don't go around preaching. I
  12. I bought my new balance sneakers about 3 years ago for my spurs. I wore them everyday and within about 6 months, the spurs were completely gone. I paid $50 for them and they still look new despite being worn daily. Worth every penny, plus some.
  13. I " tried " to do whole grains. Not happening in my family. The whole anti white flour thing reminds me of the 80's when the attack was on " fat ". White flour is NOT the enemy from my experience. My dad managed to reverse his diabetes while eating white flour. Now don't get me wrong .. more veggies and meats is important. Also getting your carbs from more natural sources is important. My family eats allot of fresh fruit. However, I also make sugar cookies occasionally We eat " white " pasta a few times a week and we put sugar in our tea. Artificial sweeteners are a big no no. I find it amaz
  14. When my kids say it's not my fault. My first reply is " does it matter " ? . There is still a problem and it still needs fixed. I believe that everything leads to something else. One event, leads to another. Caring about others and helping is far more important than who's fault it is. When my kids do mess up. Instead of getting angry .. I try to show them how it happened and how to prevent it from happening again. It keeps them from fearing me and knowing that I will understand. It also prevents finger pointing and shows the value of honesty.
  15. “They came first for the communists, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a communist. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Jew. Then they came for me, and by that time no one was left to speak up.” I truly believe that we are ALL responsible when we do nothing.
  16. If there is anything I can do, please just ask. I can't imagine being that far away and feeling helpless
  17. Albuquerque is a beautiful place. My uncle was hospitalized there a few years ago. They took incredible care of him as I am sure they will your grandbaby. Prayers and good thoughts for your family.
  18. I will say a prayer and light a candle. I'm so very sorry My dad is also in ICU right now. I honestly believe that suffering is worse than death. The heartache that loved ones go through, is just unbearable.
  19. I did the same thing. Educated myself when I was older. Like you, with a violent house .. it didn't happen. I also started working full time at the age of 16. It's amazing how going through all of that actually can make people a better person, if that's what they choose. I believe you made the choice to let it strengthen you, rather than destroy.
