I agree and (almost) disagree ...... I have a love/hate relationship with zoos & safari parks & santuaries (sp?). I don't like that animals are captive (captured) audience for our amusement -- but we encroach upon their territory and don't think anything of it. Being caged and on a stage is no way to live but if we don't get some extremely endangered species into a program and sheltered environment we will lose them forever. Animals can teach us life, we teach them extinction. Education about how animals support the earth is great, we don't do enough on how interactions support

I'm not sure that is completely right. Yes, if they were incurred while employed they should be covered. But I think you needed to apply for repayment PRIOR to leaving. After leaving the company, the money not used defaults to the company and not available to reclaim against.
