I've since heard that, but still no real confirmation on if it has happened or not. The prosecution can appeal, but if she is out of their country, then it becomes an extradition situation and the stakes of evidence rises to be able to send her back to Italy.

She is still guilty of the slander, which can carry a sentence of up to 12 years, but aquitted of murder. No word yet on when she might truly be freed, but it will come. Feel a bit sorry for Meredith's family as they still don't have any closure.
