  1. Yep Olive Tree and you are sitting at the bar! Mr Barbed Wire & I have declared this our new favorite close to home date place. LOVE the bruchetta and Greek salads!
  2. Hey Missy! I just wanna know where all that extra energy is coming from???
  3. I have a titanium hip. I fly several times a year and I don't like the pat downs. It gets old and yes, they are getting more intrusive. (I've GOT to remember to not wear the underwire bra while traveling!). The last trip was October. If they get any more intrusive than that, somebody is gonna get decked!
  4. Prayers and hugs for you and your family Pubby.
  5. Thank you for answering! I would LOVE it if you could provide the certified hormone/antibiotic free beef. Any chance of that happening?
  6. Sounds like some great deals. I do have to ask .......I don't see anything obvious on your labeling.....is the angus beef free of antibiotics, growth hormones, etc.?
  7. Hugs and prayers. Does this young man have any other family?
  8. I would be sadder if my son felt he had to come visit only in a suit and tie! When my son comes to visit and he's all dirty and scruffy....he's usually just come from a camping/hunting trip.....and he's eager to come home and tell me about it! I am happy to see him. I too grew up in a "dress only" church. I have been to the depths of grief and anguish with my GOD. He knows my heart and He is real and able to handle the real me--all of me--in any physical/emotional/spiritual state I come before Him. I "get" where you're coming from---respect--. I try to always see the differe
  9. You sound like my Dad. He has opinions about what "church people" should wear and do....and not do. But he doesn't go to church and doesn't follow any of his rules for "church people". GOD looks upon the heart. Whether I dress up or dress down, He looks upon motive of the heart. If your child comes to visit, are you upset or disappointed because they don't dress up in their best clothes? I know I am just happy to spend time with mine. I don't discredit the "dressing up" and the formal services. If I know a place of worship is formal, I will dress accordingly and respect that, but a
  10. final pope 35 - south 28 Great season Spartans!
  11. Half time South Paulding 14- Pope 14 GO SPARTANS!
  12. You have much to be proud of. Will, this is just the beginning for you.
  13. Oh forgot to add.....my husband LOVES massage and pedicures. We go together. Natural Body will do couples massage where you are in the room together......but after they start the massage, I really don't care whether hubby is there or not.....I'm off in lala land.
  14. Yes, I have been. I've only had one massage that was not wonderful. I went to a "spa" in downtown Hiram and apparently the owner decided to let a friend do my massage......she pretty much confessed she was not certified or formally trained. But I have been to Natural Body in the Avenues and GreenTree (not positive of the name) in Douglasville. Both were very nice and I love massage. I only go once ....maybe twice a year. I would suggest going once before judging.
  15. Yes, we could have, but we shouldn't have to. With some of the last minute "revelations" that tend to occur near election day, I prefer to wait. In all the 30+ years I have voted, I have never had to wait in such long lines. It is indeed a small price to pay for the right and priviledge to vote.....and if we lived somewhere where this was all that was available, there would be no complaint. I do believe Paulding County has way more voting machines available...but for some reason underestimated that number of voters this time around.
  16. Two and a half hours at Nebo Elementary. I just got home......had high heels on and my feet HURT! I was also surprised ---not by the number of people. All you have to do is watch the news to know a lot of people are motivated to action. I was surprised that there were just 10 voting booths! We were lined up like a Six Flags ride. Up and down, back and forth across the sidewalks, then five or six rows snaked around inside the gym. Somebody at the elections office seriously dropped the ball on this one
  17. As have I LR. Voted a number of times for the legendary Charlie Stenholm -D (Texas) back in my Texas days. Zell Miller will always be a favorite of mine. These men were true statesmen. Not many statesmen left.
  18. Thanks for reminding me.....been busy with the goblins. Hope my Rangers don't break my heart!
  19. Okay. I've met Will and I like him. BUT this bothers me. Will (and Mrs Avery) we as a country are struggling to educate our own kids. We are no longer the leader of the pack in education. Not as a country and certainly not as a state. Why are we "liking" a commitment to educate the WORLD? I've still not committed in my mind who to vote for. Will, if you are elected, you will be REPRESENTING a conservative majority. Are you going to represent us....or your party? What is your commitment to us?
  20. Like most of you, I don't mind the older kids....as long as they are respectful and don't try to jump in front of the little kids. Once my kids got old enough they were questioning whether to go, I bought a bunch of candy that I know they love, made each of them their own trick or treat bags......and then solicited them to "man" the door for the rest of the goblins.
  21. Usually when these stories come out, it's not that the sources aren't reliable.....it's that they don't want to be revealed. Richardson's story was the same way in the beginning.
  22. Otay PTR! I think we would rather duel with Pope. Congrats to your East boys!
  23. And THANK YOU MillCreek for calling in the SPHS scores!
