  1. Wow. I have no idea what happened to your daughter, but I am so sorry. No child should ever have to worry about being attacked walking home from school..............
  2. I can tell you that on 2 ocassions children were left behind at Sparkles after the daycare left. Sad.......
  3. Thank you! I married one, too!!! And it was the best thing he ever did (beside marrying ME!) Thank you. He looks just like his daddy!
  4. After saying NEVER again this morning, my husband decided to take our kids today while I was at work..........what a nightmare. After checking 3 theaters, they ended up sitting on the STEPS! And, they got there 40 minutes early. He had to park at hooters. Next time he is waiting for the 12 o'clock show and paying $5 to get in!!!
  5. I agree...........went once, never again!!!! I thought someone was going to call the fire marshall, it was SO overcrowded!!1
  6. Awww..........you are so sweet, as usual. If my son ever decides to become a REAL Marine, I know he will be the handsomest (is that a word?) one in the platoon!!! Here is there website for anyone interested............ http://www.atlantayoungmarines.com/

  8. Our home is 2800 sq feet, and my bill for last month was $168, down from the same month last year. We have been running around $400 in the summer, but have kept our air at 72. This year, I programmed the thermostats and we just had the airconditioners tuned up. It is the first time I don't hear the a/c running all night long. Ceiling fans are being installed in 3 of the bedrooms tomorrow!!
  9. That I knew, and thanks for posting. I was hoping the surgery was as successful as anticipated.
  10. Mine has dropped almost $100,000 since I moved in. That's the amount I put down, so I don't have much equity anymore. O, the plus side, my taxes were only $960 last year, as opposed to the $8,000 I was paying on my house in NY. Guess I am living here until I die. Good thing I love it!
  11. Wow! SO quickly. So, the surgery was a success??? I haven't heard any updates!
  12. I know that feeling. I went through it with my brother, who I love dearly. May God bless and protect your son. My son is a Young Marine (Metro Atlanta Young Marines) and was promoted to Private First Class today. I am so proud of him, but he is only 8. I know in 10 years I will be the one bawling in the airport!! Semper Fi!

    Suggestion

I agree with the "no financial investment" statement, but disagree with the $200/month. I live in a very nice s/d and my hoa assessments are $350/YEAR/ I LIVE at my pool, LR. Come swimming anytime. We are ALWAYS there, from about 10-10 on Sat and 11-7 on Sunday. Actually, I am heading up there in 20 minutes!!
  14. Glad to hear it. I was thinking about her all day yesterday!
  15. And school has only been out a week! Now I know why mother's sometimes eat their young!
  16. Just a side note. Although surgery should be a last resort, my husband has permanent nerve damage from the discs pushing on the sciatica nerve. He has no feeling in part of his foot and leg. I wish we hadn't waited so long to have the surgery........he is retired. I don't know how people who have to go to work deal with this.
  17. Woodbridge Dumfries McClean Arlington Alexandria or any of those general vicinities
  18. When they first closed, their sign said "will re-open memorial day". The next time I drove by it only said closed.
  19. Same thing here with my husband. We tried EVERYTHING before resorting to surgery. When he came out of anesthesia, the first thing he said was "I should have done this 6 months ago". Boy, did I feel bad for insisting that surgery be the last option!
  20. Thanks! That is where we change them, just wanted to make sure there wasn't another place for filters that I didn't know about!!! My husband is fantastic, but a complete idiot when it comes to ANYTHING around the house!!
  21. YOu are talking abouty the filters in the house, right? there is not filter on the outside unit, is there? Sorry of that is a stupid question...........sometimes I am so blonde!!!
  22. Wow! That is great news! Now comes the hard part. I will keep her, the doctors and her family in my prayers. Please keep us updated!! TARA
  23. I am interested for my 11 yr old daughter. When does it start??
  24. That law was repealed, however, if there is a playground or pool in your neighborhood, they can't live within 1000 feet of that. We got rid of one in our neighborhood because of the close proximity of the silver comet trail and the playground. I simply called a detective in the crimes against children division.....
