  1. I would change mine to the New and Improved Mrs. JR. LOL I have changed alot since I first signed on and most for the better.
  2. Both of my step sons have wrecked on Dabbs Bridge Road, plus there is a man who post on here (I can't remember his name). His son had a terrible accident on Dabbs Bridge. Also my neighbor's son had a terrible wreck on Dabbs Bridge. So there have been several bad wrecks. When is the widdening project supposed to start on Dabbs Bridge?
  3. From what I have read on Facebook, Stacy worked at a bank prior to Tripp's injury. I'm not sure what Bill does. He has gone back to work.
  4. My guess is that she will not take you up on your offer. I wish BL the very best. I have my opinons in this matter, but I'll keep them to myself.
  5. WOW, I read some of the comments on the Paulding county FB page. I guess they think they are having the trial on FB instead of in a court of law. I hope they decide to go to court. I would love to go watch this trial!!!
  6. If "Lindsey" and her car wrecked your car and didn't have insurance, this story would be different. There are so many people driving without insurance that it really makes me mad. If this person could take a cell phone picture, they could call for a ride. Just saying!!
  7. There are plans to widen Dabbs Bridge Road. Then it's going to be be break neck speeds out there. Dabbs Bridge Road was 35 MPH and I think my husband was the only person who drove 35. It's now 45 MPH and I feel that is an okay speed if everyone drives 45MPH. They don't. The roads were there before the schools were so I guess someone in the planning stages thought it was a good idea. The intersection of Harmony Grove Church Road and Dabbs Bridge was a 4 way stop for years and years. It now has a red light. That is one thing that has helped the traffic jams, but has done little to slo
  8. So folks like me with a 2001 truck, I don't need to do anything except continue to pay the taxes on my birthday, right?
  9. The hardest thing I ever had to do was 5 years ago when my Daddy passed away. I know how to do CPR, but I was in denial that he was dieing, I guess. When the firemen got there they laid him on the ground and I asked is he dead. They wouldn't answer me. They were getting ready to do CPR when I remembered he has signed a DNR. I told them he had a DNR. They said we have to see it. My Mama ran to get it. They looked at it and said this is for a woman. It was my Mama's. They said we need his. Mama ran to find his. I begged them not to do CPR. Mama found his DNR and they never started CP
  10. How can resturant owners get away with paying below minimum wage?
  11. If your meds come in generic you can get them at Kroger for $5.00 a month supply or (I think) $10.00 for 3 months supply. They have a list on their website. Sometimes there will be a $25.00 Kroger coupon for $25.00 worth of groceries for transfering a prescription. If you have a Kroger Credit Card you can get the $25.00 added to your Kroger card for every prescription transfered. I was paying about $20;00 a prescription at CVS. It was $10.00 and just went up recently. I transfered 3 of them and got $75.00 added to my card. So I am saving $45.00 a month on prescriptions and I got $75.
  12. It started snowing between 2 and 3 AM. I took my dog out at 2 and there was nothing on the ground. I took her out at 3 and the ground is covered. The driveway and street look just wet. We have my 3 grandkids staying the weekend with us. I hope there is some still on the ground when they wake up.
  13. Oh I forgot to add : why wait until you are too old to enjoy retirement? I also plan to get my social security as soon as I can. Yes, I know that it will be a reduced amount, but I'll be danged if I die before getting to spend some of my hard earned money.
  14. I think my Mama still lives in the past when a dollar bill was a good tip. This is what she always leaves. I always leave more to make up for it. I guess I have been in the wrong too. I thought 15 percent was the norm. I will up my tips now that I know I have been wrong. I do have a question what if you are eating at a buffet when all the waitress does is fill your drink glass? Is it still 20 percent. ?
  15. As a grandmother who gives money for birthdays and other times, please take the money and spend it as you wish. It would really hurt my feelings if my grandkids gave the money back to me.
  16. I am saying this in a very loving way......but you are as hard headed as my DIL. Her husband has health insurance thru his work. Her 3 kids are on Peach Care (or whatever they call it now) and they can not afford for her to have insurance. They have to pay some amount to be on Peach Care because her husband makes more than what is required for them to get it free. I have been on her to go to the GYN and to get a Mammogram for years. Here is what I say to her and I'm going to say to you. I don't know if you have kids, but if you do, you are doing your kids a disservice. She needs to
  17. I just wanted to tell you that I admire all that you are doing in your life. You have a lot going on, yet it seems you have it all together. I would also love to check out your blog. I wish you the best in all you do!!!!!
  18. I have been retired for almost 7 years. WOO HOO!!!! I retired from the same program that Lady Raider's husband and Mr. Dis will be retiring from, Cobb County Government. I worked 30 years with CCPD and that was enough for me. I loved my job, but working with police officers for 30 years will drive you to cussing. LOL I was one month shy of being 50 when I retired. I started when i was 19 years old. You can do the math. I never wanted to get another job and I haven't had to get another job. We have always lived beneath our means. Our home is paid for. We travel, but it's not on e
  19. Praying for you and your son. I have lots of family in Texas. If you pm me your FB, I will get the info out there as well.
  20. Praying for you. The loss of a fur baby is so hard. My sweet Bue died 2 years ago and I still miss her so. I get by remembering her and looking at pictures of her.
  21. The person going 35 would probably be my husband. He is so annoying that way! LOL
  22. No, I admire you for eating alone and for other things. I have only eaten alone one time. I think it's a twin thing. I always had my twin with me everywhere. Then my husband. He was getting a hair cut and I went into Wendy's to eat and wait on him. It was the most uncomfortable 20 minutes I can remember ever. I hated it.
