  1. So, if she didn't do it who did? The child is obviosly dead. Sorry, I really don't mean any offense, but this case was pretty darn clear. The child is dead - no question, the mother is a known liar - no question. The grandmother and grandfather gained nothing from this little baby's death - no question. If it was an accident of a pool drowning why would you put duct tape on an already dead child, adult, pet and then dump them in a swamp? I can, I guess, not wanting to be the one who sentences someone to die, but then again, a couple of years because she made false statements to law
  2. Aren't those little girls? (The pink ribbon) They are precious! And they need a major leaf or something - they look cold! Beautiful pics!
  3. What exactly is the movie about, other than her car? She actually was killed in '67.
  4. Sorry mods if this is in the wrong forum.
  5. I hope they'll do well. I'm just speaking on past experience/observance. Good luck to them! Can't wait to see a big box book store come to that area - Barnes & Noble, can you hear me?!?
  6. Call me simple and stupid, which I am, but we've seen way too many speciality big box stores go by the wayside in that area. I'm going to miss that Kroger - it wasn't even quite open when we first moved here, but if a grocery store/s can't make it there, how is some big chain, specialty store going to make it? Sorry, not trying to be "Debbie Downer" here - I just don't see it, especially in this economy. I think a giant auto store/tanning salon/tatoo parlor/dry cleaners all combined in one would do much better. Oh, and I forgot nails, can't forget the nails!
  7. There is no better book in the entire world, and best adaptation from book to movie. I've read the book and seen the movie more times than I could tell you. Good choice!
  8. East Paulding, off Mt. Tabor, not far from the old dragstrip. The old trees, hardwoods (and we have many) are starting to swirl. Think I'll shut things down for a while. Stay safe all!
  9. It really is. I think that some things will stand out in your mind if the case was recent and you knew that their was an ongoing investigation, but unless my car keys suddenly disappeared an hour ago, don't ask me 3 years from now if I remember on the afternoon of May 25th, 2011 did I notice my car keys out of place. On the flip side, if someone asked me tomorrow after telling me that my car had been stolen using my car keys, I might remember. Maybe, don't hold me to that. (I have jury duty in a month - God help me if they ask me what shampoo I decided to use on May 26th, 2011, or what
  10. I must admit, I'm watching part of the "Anthony" trial. I think I could remember some things, but if they get down to specifics from 3 years ago - good luck to them, and good luck to me.
  11. No offense, but I find that to be one of the funniest names for a funeral home ever! How appropriate is that!?!
  12. And why do they insist on making their webs in my house?
  13. They usually are! And this had nothing to do with some man from last week, these were two young kids, 16-18 at the most, that I saw. Just couldn't understand why they had to be on display at a semi-major intersection with the intersection shut down. Why not put the young ones in the back of one of 3 police/sheriff cars? The kids were already cuffed. Why the public humiliation?
  14. You're right, thanx! I guess my concern was that there was so much police activity, the closing of a busy intersection, the point of having the cuffed "perps" on obvious display right on their car - even in Fulton or Cobb I can see that as being a major concern. I would have thought that it must be a significant crime here in Paulding with all the police attention. Apparently it wasn't - thank goodness! Thanks for your response!
  15. They had these people "cuffed" and sitting on the trunk of their car - never seen that before. It surely was more than a license check, and they had their lights going full blast. And, I don't think that the intersection in front of the Briar Patch is a speed trap, but then again........................
  16. At the intersection at 120 right at the Briar Patch. We were leaving Martin's this morning around 10:00 and the authorities had both lanes blocked - 3 police/sheriff cars. You could only travel using the turn lane. Anyway, I found it to be a very disturbing site, and apparently it must have been an extremely serious offense re concerning the two perpetrators. I came home and got on P.Com sure that I would have seen some reference to a carjacking, mass murder, etc., but unless I missed it, I haven't seen one. Anyone know what was going on?
  17. Turn the air on - chili is my husband's favorite and I personally serve it all year round. I could eat that for breakfast!
  18. I'm trying a new recipe for ham salad - think Underwood Deviled ham, which most of you may not want to think of but I'm kind of looking forward to it. That along with just really good crackers and bread and a relish tray picnic style in front of the TV. Anyway, the recipe sounds good - I've already ground the cooked ham and I just need to go add the other ingredients. Should be a good snacky, picnicy kind of night.
  19. Thanks - for some reason my posts from ealier today have disappeared even though they were harmless - unless I'm forgetting under which topic I posted (wouldn't be unusual) or the British government agreed with me re William and Kate's postponment of their honeymoon. I'm sure, as you do, that the British gov't monitors PCom. The only other reason would be the fact that I was interested in who won the battle between Nene & Starr on the Apprentice. Oh, and I did mention former Bush admin higher ups in my post - hmmmmmmmmmmmm..................................coincendence?????????????????
  20. Trying to find the "political forum". Why some topics are allowed to stay on the main board and some are not confuses me, but I'm easily confused. Anyway, I know what the password is, I just can't figure out how to get there. TIA.
  21. LOL, I tried to delete the misplaced one but it didn't work. Oh well, what the hey.
  22. Oops, posted in the wrong thread - please forgive.
