  1. It has to do with the markings on the river, but I can't remember exactly what (unless I Google it, LOL).
  2. I don't not see that we've received our actual bill yet, and I don't want to let it sneak up on me. I went to the Tax Commissioner website, but the only option I could find was to pay online, for which they charge a fee. Can anyone help guide me? TIA
  3. Thanks kid. You would think with a paid membership you could do more than edit, but, alas............. It's OK, thanks for your help!
  4. Hubby got home just a while ago with a truck load of stuff that his Dad was about to just chunk. His Dad renovated, from the foundation up, the Magnolia House in Powder Springs. He's been sitting on, well, not sitting on, but holding on to 3 original decorative cast iron thingies that would have, I'm guessing, been the fronts for possibly coal burning fireplaces. They may have actually been part of wood burning fireplaces, but they're not the mantles, which were left in the house and restored, but the fronts that would have protected the wood. Beautiful things which date back to the late 1
  5. I have high hopes - we watched the original again just the other night. On The Today Show yesterday they said that there were some 5 star reviews out there, but so far it's only rating a 57% on Rotten Tomatoes. Early yet though.
  6. Sounds simple and stupid I guess, but just do it at home! Blow up balloons for them to sit on, let them help decorate cookies (Pillsbury store bought and then buy the icing stuff in a tube), etc. There really is no need to spend a ton of money. Let them decorate cheap brown paper bags with cut out pieces of construction paper that you can then fill with their "goodies", which you can purchase in bulk from Party City, Walmart, whatever. Just enjoy, the child is too young right now to remember the next day anyway. Save the money for when the child is a tween/teenager.
  7. And can't figure out how to get into my old PM's. Any suggestions, tricks, tips? TIA
  8. Cher's a legend, got an Oscar under her belt (if you can find one), a body to beat any other 60+ year old woman around here. Lady Gaga has actually got a tremendous voice - let's just see how she measures up in 40 to 50 years. Will she still be going strong? She may be, in her "meat dress" and hat. How in the world does she walk in those shoes?!? Apparently at times, not too well. Anyway, good luck to her, but I think to compare her to Cher is just, well......................
  9. Me too! Different tools, but possibly the same result!
  10. Yup, until you look at the bottom of the screen and notice that you're being monitered by one of the "popo"s. Anyway, the commercial just made me laugh and made me a little uncomfortable. The statement concerning "prick that never ends" seemed a little bit much for an afternoon show on a show that kids might be watching. As I said, I can be a prude, but immeditately on this one, my mind went to the gutter. Sorry - just how I am.
  11. Now that's where you have me confused with the first description of myself, and the first thought that came to mind. I'm never sure on this sight which word (thought, insinuation) might be banned or welcome a bullet.
  12. I'm sure that I'll get bashed for this in some form or another, but...............I'm cleaning house and have a cable program on - very innocent show - Man vs. Food - and there was a commercial just now for a tatoo parlor (local). I realize a lot of people have tatoos and that's great if that is your thing. But the ad was for "the brick (that starts with a "p") that will last forever" made me laugh but also disturbed me. It's a very clever slogan, don't get me wrong, but................................... Just saying. Alright, gentlemen and ladies, start your engines!
  13. It's that time of year! And just think, it's only September 13th! I guarantee there will be plenty of these before the end of October!
  14. Good for you! And believe it or not, there are tons of Christians all over this country who have no problem with Halloween, even if they let their little ones dress as - GASP - monsters, witches, vampires, etc. It's harmless fun for most people!
  15. Seriously! If your kids show up at my house on the 30th they're apt to get green fuzzy leftovers from my fridge. If people have a problem with Halloween being on a Sunday that's up to them, have a party at home and celebrate there with the kids, or let them do their own thing at Church. I'm so over this.
  16. It wouldn't be this time of year on PCom if the question of "what night will the kids be trick or treating this year?" appear, LOL! Truly a time honored tradition!
  17. Not good breaking news on Fox Breaking News: Coast Guard Says Oil Sheen Spreading From Rig Explosion Site in Gulf of Mexico
  18. I realize that most folks aren't on here today, but I'm in desparate need of one or the other, short of getting rid of pets, which will never happen. Anyway, if you can recommend either one of the above, it will be greatly apprecaited. TIA!
  19. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1QwsCHd7Lcg Wow, just wow, on so many levels.
  20. Did I hear correctly? He's about to have to play a doubles match?!?
