We just rec'd a coupon in the one those mailer thingies. I hadn't heard of the place, but drove by it a minute ago. I googled the menu, and it seems to be Greek themed. Anyone eaten there yet?

And that was exactly the President's point this morning in his address to the nation.

What the crap?!? I'm so glad that my son graduated back in 2003. How stupid is this?!?!? But, as someone else said, at least we have football. Great compensation there when the kids can't get into college because they may/may not have a criminal record for vandalism. Anywhay, glad my son graduated back when EPHS was newly built and the football team sucked! LOL!

They are new. I've always been told to leave a new place alone for at least 3 weeks to let them get everything in order, get composed, etc\. On the other hand, I'm hungry for good food!

My post re Randy Travis & Gabby Douglas have disappeared. Sorry if those topics are so offensive or contraversial that they must be moved to a different forum. REALLY?!?

Hey Kiddo, not ATL news, this was Fox. How totally dumb is this. Don't they have actual news to cover?!? And yes, this was a different episode than when he was found drunk in the parking lot of a Baptist Church. The guy is so talented so this is just sad, and if he doesn't turn things around he'll also be "Diggin' Up Bones"

Hey girl! Don't get on here much anymore, but I thought these would lead to interesting conversations. Apparently Randy Travis was arrested for DUI while naked and making threats to the State Patrol officers (he could end up in big trouble for that i.e. jail time) and (you can find the video) Fox News had an issue with Gabby Douglas' choice of color for her uniform (pink), despite the fact that it was the uniform for the entire gold winning gymnastics team, LOL!!
-
That's assuming that these aren't already somewhere here. Randy Travis and Fox News questioning an Olympic gold winner's patriotism re her outfit (color).

Thanks for all your responses. Hubby currently has a broken ankle/leg so taking the boat out is verboten (sp?) Any good fishing on the banks of the Etowah River? Anyone know how I can get in touch with Andy & Opie and just go to "Myer's Lake", LOL. Again, thanks! Is that the one right on the side of the road? I used to pass that one all the time on my way to work and wondered why it never flooded the road during hard rains. Easily accessible though - thanks!

Actually, back in the day, the homes you could buy through the Sears catalog were pretty darn good. Much better than most of what you see built around here anymore. I'd be more than proud to own one of them. Kind of a Franklin Lloyd Wright kind of thing, sort of, if you know what I mean. As it stands, I'm happy to know that my late FIL built our house. I could use more closet space (who couldn't), but it's a well built house and we have land and we're not "under water". And we have plenty of leaves to get us through this next major (LOL) storm! And now I need to check on my inventory

We've got the old Sears catalog along with tons of leaves.

And where is the best place to buy milk and bread?

What was the result of Sunday alcohol sales?

So, is this county wide, and does it effect the sale of wine & beer in grocery stores? -
What day and month will you be celebrating it on and will you just cook or dress in costumes and give presents? Just had to ask.
-
Sounds really good! We're trying to get ready for a kitchen/pantry remodel so everything is in boxes. Can't wait to get it all back in place, organized, and to get back to cooking. Let me know how your chicken comes out!

What night?

Seriously....what night is Trick or Treating this year?
juleebella replied to Gipper Girl Rocks's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Exactly is which one a "pagan" holiday. Most on here would be surprised as to the answer to that question, but if I go any further I'll get slammed and banned. So I'll just leave it at that. Night dears! -

I know, and Halloween is always on October 31st, whether they like it or not, but what day will they choose to celebrate either on? I'll wait with bated breath to find out the answer from the majority of posters here, or whatever Paulding County deems the correct thing to do. -

Now, if you had known that last night was the randomly selected night for trick or treating you could have used that to your advantage. Now, you'll just have to wait until next month/season/year and clean all those old fuzzy green things out of your fridge to give to the little darlings. Stick with me dear, I'll school you on all these holiday tips. Oh, and don't fret, there are all those random dates to put green things in stockings. I believe it has something to do with Christmas. When are we celebrating that this year? -

It was last night, you missed it. Sorry, you'll have to wait until next year for some random night in the middle of the week sometime in October, but definately not on Halloween. Stay tuned until next year. -
Sorry, it's what I live for

Well, there you are! Slather some auto parts with soy sauce, make dipping sauce for the nails, tan the tortilla chips and put batteries in your wife! Perfect! And of course, don't forget the salsa!
-
There's a brand new auto place opening in the old Block Buster store in New Hope!!!!!!!!!!!!! And now my only other prayer is that there will be a new nail/tanning place opening up in the old Beef O'Brady's spot right next to it! What more does Paulding County need ?!?!!!!!!!!!!!!! Unless maybe, another auto parts place that does nail and tanning? Maybe they can also replace your parts and batteries at the same time!

Consignment Stores: Where Are They In Our Area?
juleebella replied to ButterflyLion's topic in RECENT TOPICS
We've become major shoppers at Goodwill, but I think your best bet is at St. Vincent's. Not far from the old hospital in Dallas. They really carry some top of the line clothing, etc. at really good prices.
