Every back way I could think of was blocked! 4.5 hours. Glad you made it home safely.
-
No problem on the way, BIG problems on the way home. 4.5 hours. List of roads I had to be diverted from: 75N at Grady 278 at Humphries Hill Austell/PS Rd Perkeson Mill Bankhead toward Austell Rd. Bankhead back toward Thornton Maxham Macedonia Found out other blockages at a gas station, others trying to get to my area. Ended up going Thornton to Factory Shoals, Mableton Pkwy, Floyd, E/W, Macland... Worried about tomorrow.

Whee. 100% when I need to head south, according to Weather.com.

I don't think this portly kid would be happy about it. -

That is me. Don't want kids. And I agree with those who said that siblings aren't always close. I've become closer with my oldest brother over the years. The other older brother...well, we just have a personality conflict. So, I limit the time I see him for both our sakes. Same with my younger sister. Some people never grow up.

7 piercings all in ears (one in cartilage). One tattoo, more to come...once I finally decide where and what.
-
That's kind of how I feel. My (half-) brothers are 10+ years older than me, so I grew up on my own, pretty much. I have a younger half-sister who I just met about 4 years ago, too. For a while it was just me and Dad. I am glad, though. Made me who I am. Wouldn't trade it for anything.

I was a little freaked out a couple weeks ago when a lady called in to a radio show saying she'd had Essure done, but the fact that one of the springs had gone missing (based on the HSG) had not been disclosed to her. She was told all was well, and ended up pregnant. My worst nightmare. But then, I've read horror stories about every method out there. Gotta wonder what the back story is.

Essure. I've read horror stories online about this, IUD, tubal, etc. It better be effective. I am NOT having a baby. Period.

It bothered me until I got a new phone.

I've tried the surveys, too, but they always seem to be scheduled during the day (on site, not online). I have a job during the day and I'm not as mom, though. Some pay $100 or more.

We ripped up our carpet and put in laminate a couple years ago. We did it ourselves. And it does stand up very well to the dog, and scratches, but not to spills. ETA: Be careful knocking it into place. It may not just snap. We marred a few pieces before we went back to the store to get the install kit with a plastic boot to protect it.

Finally giving in and getting a automotive GPS

I have this one, Garmin nuvi 260W. I recommend one of these, too. (Seems like I got a discount on accessories after I got it for xmas last year.) My windshield is too deep for the suction cup thing. ETA: Re: map update - I got a free update within 60 days of purchase/receipt. And it needed one, too. check NewEgg.com. My brother got mine there. -
Looking at the guide, it's on at 3:00 next week, then back to 12:30 on 9/28.

As much as I hate Gwinnett, I seriously doubt they have a monopoly on nastiness.

I dropped them after YEARS of crappy service. It got so bad that the signal wasn't strong enough to properly work through the box, so I unplugged it (and downgraded my service). After many, many calls and visits, the problem was never resolved, so I fired them. My life is a little less annoying now. Oh, it is.

Where Were You on 9-11-01, When You Heard About the Twin Towers?
QOTSA replied to MillCreek's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I had been at work downtown for a while. With our radios on, my office mate and I heard them break in with the news. His radio picked up TV stations, too, so we listened. Then some people went to the conference room on our floor and watched through the snow. I had an overwhelming desire to go home. I was worried about my proximity to the federal building and other major sites, but then we thought, it's Atlanta. I don't think we're in danger. For the rest of the day we all scanned websites, radio stations, etc. for any and all info and pictures we could find. -
I've only seen one so far, and s/he had white on his/her throat. Was a small one, too.

My husband has had them buzz his head when he gets into my car, which is probably parked a little too close to the feeder. They seem to leave me alone. One night a few years ago the power went out, and we were out on the porch around dusk to cool off. One of them flew right in front of us, above the hedges. He looked at me, looked at my husband, then flew back to the feeder. It was like, Whatchall lookin' at? He was a few feet in front of us, so not really threatening, I guess.
