  1. Sorry to hear this Pubby, prayers for your family.
  2. Yeah!!! :yahoo: Glad it went well, good to see you up and about. Yes walking will help but don't over do it. They had no idea what they were saying when they told YOU to walk to make it better.
  3. I find this, like most everything from California a bit odd. They have some of the strictest smoking laws in the US and yet they want to legalize marijuana.......so it will be legal to smoke a joint but there won't be anywhere you can.
  4. I have a dutch oven lasagna recipe. I'm sure it would work in a crock pot on low. I wouldn't precook the noodles, they'd probably fall apart left in the crock pot all day. I've made this several times in a dutch oven, it's very good. Here ya go. Just forget about the charcoal stuff, layer it like its says and leave the crock pot on low. I don't see why this wouldn't work. Dutch Oven Lasagna • 1-1/2 lb. lean ground beef • 23 oz spaghetti sauce • 9 oz shredded mozzarella cheese • 3 eggs • 2-1/4 c cottage or ricotta cheese • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese • 13 lasag
  5. DirecTV at home, Comcast at work............right now I think DirectTV might be a little cheaper for a small package. If you're not sports fanatics it's reasonable. Please take someone up on their offer for the $10.00 savings. It's nice for both of you. Can't beat $100.00 free.
  6. Yes!! Thank goodness. But..........he's still out there somewhere. Thanks for the nixle report ignorme, lots more information there.
  7. From the Paulding County Sheriff's FB account:
  8. Apparently a man tried to get a 12 year old girl in the car with him this morning. He exposed himself, her parents saw him talking to her and he took off in a green car. 40-45 years old, while male, medium build. Heard it on WSB radio.
  9. It's gone up to $80.00 per barrel and is on it's way to $90.00. Inflation is on the way........go ahead and print more $, good way to help those that are out of work.
  10. Welll..............we used shots.
  11. Anyone ever play spoons?? It's really a card game. Looks like there are some variations. http://boardgames.about.com/od/cardgames/a/spoons.htm
  12. Thinking of you this morning. Let me know if you need some coffee later.
  13. Mille Bornes is a fun card game. http://boardgames.lovetoknow.com/Mille_Bornes_Instructions Scrabble is an all time favorite. Just a plain deck of cards and play Memory. Just turn them all over and everyone gets a turn to match pairs. Most pairs wins.
  14. OK, so I came home and checked the actual cups..........it's 240 x 6 = 1440 divided by 20 = 72, 72 x 1.90 = 136.80. I'll take my Folgers for $7.12. I don't like all those fancy additives, give me a cup of coffee and I'm happy.
  15. Seriously, a look at the State Constitution would be a good beginning. I'm thinking there's some pork out there that can wait. Just like businesses have to wait to make profits. Without having the information in front of me, I couldn't make a decision. Balancing a budget is not fun, but it's kind of like the Starbucks thread. If you can't afford to pay for something, will it kill you to do without??
  16. Good luck, you'll do fine. Praying for you and a speedy recovery!! ((hugs))
  17. While the plant will survive the freezing temps, the blooms may not. Sounds like they got frozen. Just cut them off and wait til next year for some more. Pansies and Snapdragon blooms will survive freezing temps and frost.
  18. Blue, I just paid $7.12 for a container of Folgers that will brew about 160 cups of coffee. 160 x 1.90 - = $304.00, it's too expensive.
  19. Starbucks is sooooo overpriced. I've been but I only go occasionally. I can think of a lot better things to do with $5-7 per cup of joe. I drink lots of coffee, especially in the winter. With all the flavored creamers and fancy coffee makers available, it truly is a waste of $. Just give me my Folgers in my Bunn coffee maker with a little sugar and 1/2 and 1/2 and I'm set.
  20. This is how I make it, but I my recipe calls for butter instead of Mayo, this sounds healthier. I think I'll try this one instead.
  21. I don't think Black Friday ever had anything to do with taxes and/or government. It truly is a private enterprise event. I'm thinking no one can take away Black Friday. Here's a site to see some of the ads that have already been released. http://www.theblackfriday.com/
  22. This is exactly how I do it, how my Mother-in-law did it and everyone I've met that has true Southern Roots. My dad makes some yummy bread stuffing, but it doesn't compare to traditional cornbread dressing.
  23. Praying for him and his family. One for the troop as well as you, too.
  24. So sad, praying for the family and everyone involved.
