How were the crowds at your voting site?
Cathyhelms replied to The Sound Guy's topic in Paulding County NEWS
Not to mention those amendments that had to be read. Stoopid move on the election board in PC, if you close 1/2 of your polling places, the ones that are left need more voting machines!!! Terrible that anyone that went to vote had to end up leaving. -
Have a FB friend that just posted she is 2nd to last in line, 20 minutes ago there were still 278 in front of her.
-
I didn't vote early because the last time I did there were surprises I wasn't ready for. I deliberately waited, just in case.
-
WOW!! I've lived in Yorkville 17 years and have never, ever had to wait more than 15 minutes!! I was in and out in 40 this morning.

Only if they are wearing those cool shoes. I'm sure they cannot turn them away. Looks like it's going to be a long night for some of our poll workers. Anyone heard anything from Nebo?? Don't think I've seen them mentioned today. -
ROTFLMBO

Why yes, those shoes were perfect!! I've never seen the signs posted that showed how many voted but I usually ask when I go in. I've always found it interesting to see how many people come out. At 11:00 this morning when I was at the polling place, I was number 438. -
Alrighty then, I guess that explains why we have to spend all this money. BTW, I thought we were a republic, not a democracy.

I'd be willing to bet people have waited in line longer at 6 flags.............don't give up!!! -
So why is he going there again?? What is the purpose of this trip??

I'm kind of leaning toward It took a long time for the primary results to come in, I'm thinking it will be wee hours of the morning before we know all the results from here. There are a lot more people voting this time than during the primary. Statewide will probably take much longer. It could take weeks for some of the Senate and House of Representatives results finalized with all the charges of voter problems already being reported. Wonder when if those Illinois servicemen's ballots will be counted???

I was told we used to have 28, we now have only 14............that could be the reason. Not sure when it got changed. Freebird, don't give up.............go back about 3 and see if it's any better. Now where's that begging smiley??? -

Took me about 45 minutes at Ragsdale this morning. Got there at 10:30, out of there about 11:15. Not too bad. -

Now this is funny, I haven't seen Mr. Politics around much since he admitted he's not a Paulding resident.   I rarely look at that, to me it's pure High School. -

But, LPPT that picture was not on this web site. All they did was draw attention to it on the OTHER site. A mug shot is an embarrassment and it should be, but all is fair in politics. Paulette has no business being a representative for District 19 either. -

I agree Madea there was absolutely no attack on family values there or anywhere else. How in the world is Will going to go to Atlanta and face the things required of a representative if he gets his feelings hurt over a photo posted on a web site?? I just hope people realize what they are doing, here, there and everywhere. -
Not being a smart butt at all. You are right, the squeaky wheel gets oiled. I would hope the town hall meetings will increase, I would hope there would be much more than an occasional fly by in the neighborhood. I hope every politician that gets elected understands what this election represents. It's not a Republican or Dem thing, it's about too much control, too much spending and too little concern. People want to work, people want to know they can wake up tomorrow and pay all their bills. People want to own houses they can afford. I'm holding all my representatives t

Well, I believe the politicians should be listening to their constituents. I believe that was what the founding fathers intended when they created a government - of the people, by the people and for the people. Unfortunately too many politicians do what ever is necessary to get elected. Once they get there they have their own agenda. I can only hope the person I vote for really ran for the betterment of our country, state and community. Weeeeellllll, I can hope can't I??

I have thought the exact same thing!! Great minds. Oh we can still use it in Paulding County, it just can't be put where anyone that might be driving through would see it. And the "fake stucco" as it is called is by far the most energy efficient product you can put on the exterior of any building. There are many, many commercial buildings that have "that stuff" on them. You wouldn't be able to tell the difference unless you knew the systems. Architects love what can be done with synthetic stucco, the aesthetics are unachievable with any other products on the market today.
