  1. There aren't very many people in the area that do this sort of thing. Thanks for the discounts and for being here. Seriously people, mold is not something to mess around with..........it can be dangerous for those that have breathing problems. In the long run, you might be saving yourself a lot of money if you do the repairs right in the beginning. Seems like there could be some reimbursement from FEMA for using services like this. Good luck Hydro, we were very fortunate. We only got 4 inches of rain and had no problems (this time). Thank you Lord!!
  2. I agree 100%, he knows better. I do think the fine is a little steep based on what others have paid, that will probably be adjusted but when you add in attorney's fees it's still going to cost him. And those that want to revoke his Eagle Scout rank, sorry..............once an Eagle always an Eagle. Kinda like revoking your college degree because you screwed up on your job. I'm sure he didn't intend to get lost, but he did. He did all the right things to ensure his survival, if he had not made it would they have charged someone else the fee?? Thank goodness he had the skills to make
  3. Depends on the shipping method. I think Brown (UPS) insures all packages for the first $100.00 so insurance would not be an issue for an item that cost less than that. Not sure how the USPS handles values of packages. I also look at shipping charges before I bid on anything. Sometimes shipping is ridiculous, I won't even bid on it. I especially like free shipping.
  4. I'm so sorry girl. It's going to be tough but they'll get through it and so will you. Let me know if I can help in any way. ~~~~hugs~~~~
  5. This is absolutely the most ridiculous thread I have ever seen here. I will show my appreciation to those that put their lives on the line how I see fit. The Republican Party in Paulding County has just totally insulted many people, including me................. This is not about appreciation, it's about what the Party has done/can do.................it's disgusting.
  6. Here ya go LPPT (((((((( BIG HUGS))))))))
  7. I bumped everyone here that I like!! And guess what, everyone got bumped. Guess I've made one or two mad myself!! Oh well, wonder if all the stars go out, do we fade away to nothing???
  8. I know the fear factor, lived with it too long. That's why I moved to Georgia. But, how does your daughter feel about this??? Is she angry with him??? Does she want to go to college??? Does she have the grades to qualify for scholarships?? Maybe he just wants her to become a responsible young adult instead of "giving" her everything. Good grades and a part time job while she goes to school is not that big of a deal is it?? With the hope scholarship in Georgia, she can pretty much choose where she wants to go. Does she even know what she wants to do with her life?? I don't know yo
  9. Baby Janes was opened earlier. Serving bottled water(free) and cokes (extra charge). Don't know what time they close.
  10. Thanks Pubby, this is quite the norm for the park during flooding rains. It is in a flood plain and we have rebuilt it many times. The county is now supposed to maintian the buildings so I would be getting in touch with the Parks and Rec asap if they want this event to be held there.
  11. I think this would be a mistake on the part of the Republican Party sponsors of this event. It shouldn't be that big of a deal to include those others. JMO
  12. I think this is a wonderful idea PT, but in light of the recent circumstances I think everyone that helped should be included. If not, maybe some other group will take this on to recognize everyone. I appreciate all those in Public Safety, but Public Safety goes beyond just Fire and Police Departments. In times such as this, many folks put their lives on the line.
  13. Prayers being said. I didn't know we lost anyone in the floods. Was he in Douglas County??
  14. Yeah!! Cook team is sooooo much fun, I did it during the summer last year. My job was the salad bar, that walk in cooler sure was nice.
  15. Can't go next week, I'll be in the woods from Tuesday-Monday. I'll be eating some yummy food prepared by some of the best cooks on the planet. I won't even have to clean up
  16. Racoon Mountain is in Tennessee, not far from Chattanooga. I believe that is where they went.
  17. This company is local and is a commerce member, they aren't the one's with the tarping issues. Mark really needs the work, give him a call if you need help. I happen to know him personally BTW regarding the free roof qualification, it has to do with discounting your deductible.
  18. I can help set up, what day are you doing that?? Maybe Pcom could set up a booth, they have all the stuff they need to set up. Yep, yep, can't leave them out. Thanks Tahoe
  19. What great timing!! What can we do to help and is there any way we can include the power, water and cable guys???
  20. I'm so glad you had fun. All in all was hubby happy?? I know you had some resistance.
  21. You're right Freebird. There are many working all hours to get us back to some type of normal. I appreciate everything, every one of them are doing.
