A hobo knife, he shouldn't have had that. Tigers shouldn't carry knives. It's still pretty sad. -

More than once a Cub Scout or Boy Scout has accidently done this. Not sure what he brought but I would be willing to guess it was one of these. Tiger Cubs don't have knives. Here it is nested Dangerous item, huh??? Poor kid. -

Oh no!! Good luck with that CE, I don't think I can help with anything but some prayers. -
Just beautiful Oscar, I can see why you miss it.

Right at 3 inches here in Yorkville, just since last night. Looks like there is more on the way for later today/tonight. All this rain is unbelievable. In the 26 years I have lived here I have never seen this much rain. In '94 we had 20 inches during the month of July but that is the last time I remember it raining so hard, never for this long

You mean those strip malls where the bank forclosed and the subcontractors didn't get paid.

Baritone, my heart breaks for you and swells with pride at the same time. My oldest went off to the 1st Iraq war at 18, I too was far away, he left from the West Coast. Be strong my friend and remember you gave him the ability to make wise decisions. I somehow feel a little safer knowing boys like Ryan will be protecting my freedoms. Praying for a successful journey and a swift return home, safe and sound. (((hugs)))

Looks like it's falling apart, that's a good thing.

Wow, how did that happen?? Is my Uncle trying to tell us something??? Seriously, that's just crazy.

I sent him the link to the story on the fire that happened in February but I don't think I used that email address. Everything in that mail box is gone, no new messages, no old messages, nothing but as I said I can't even remember the last time I used it. I know it was a long time ago. It was an email account I set up for a very specific purpose. Anyhow, I'll have my son check it out and completely delete that Bell South email name, I don't need it any more. It was just sooooo wierd.

OK I have a question for the computer geeks. Haven't talked to my geek son yet, just thought I'd see what you think. My dad got an email from an email account I haven't used for at least a year. It said it was an update on a fire that took my uncle and his grandson's life. I did not send the email. I can't for the life of me figure out how he got an email from my Bell South account to his gmail account. I never sent him any correspondence from that Bell South Account. What the heck is going on???

If someone had a cardiac arrest in your presence, what would you do?

I think this shows how important it is to keep your CPR training current, it changes often. -
Nah, don't think I want to go to Europe. I'd like to try the Appalachian Trail, at least through the mountains in GA and TN. When do you want to leave??

That is probably why they instruct you to add distilled water. Yes, that might be a good idea.............outside we go. Don't really have time to play with it right now, but this evening when I get home, I'll update the inferno results.

I did, looks like isopropyl alcohol and animal fat would work. You can actually add fragrance to the alcohol. I think I'll try that, rubbing alcohol is afforadable. Come to think of it, we use denatured alcohol for tin can stoves for backpacking. That should work, too.

I can find it on line but shipping is crazy, because it is a liquid it is very heavy and dang it costs more to ship than to buy.

You know I can handle the outdoor stuff, it's the inside stuff I'm having trouble with. Lamp oil is very, very expensive..........I'm going to try kerosene and see if my carbon monoxide detector goes off. Do you remember what you paid for it?? Home Depot, doesn't have any. Haven't tried Lowes or Ace, I'll check on that. Thanks!
-
For indoor lamps?? Wal Mart no longer carries it, I went to Garden Ridge yesterday, nope. Found it at Old Time Pottery in Douglasville but it's a long way over there and it was 3.99 a quart..............wondering if you can just use kerosene?? I use this lamp in my fireplace.

Just be sure to use a flatbed scanner, don't use a roller one. It could tear it up.

Cave Spring is a wonderful day trip, the cave is nice and lots of antique stores if they like that sort of thing. There is the fudge shop, too. Kennesaw Mountain is a nice historical place to visit, you can drive up to the top and the views are great. Cyclorama by the zoo is old but I still enjoy bringing out of towners there. The Zoo is so-so, a little expensive for what they've got but I came from an area that had a phenomenal zoo. You can do that while you are downtown. The North Georgia Mountain festivals are quite nice, Helen is a great trip, too.

Insurance companies usually start low, don't go with the first offer. Get a price in mind that you will take and not a penny less. It's up to you, don't rush it. It will cost them a lot more in attorney fees than settling outright. Take your time, they owe you. -
Yep, son used them for removing his wisdom teeth. He was a tough case and they handled it very professionally. I highly recommend them.
