  1. Got it!! I'll give you a call in the morning.
  2. I've been messaging with Ryan about what they need. I'll take bubble wrap and whatever else packing wise is in my basement by tomorrow morning on our way to soccer. Ryan knows how to get me if there's something else y'all need. Pubby - will someone be at the office tomorrow? My parents want to make a contribution.
  3. Yes, dry needling. You're right - nothing can cure it. You just have a tendancy to develop it. But, the dry needling and whatever other magic/torture they do will help calm it down. It's amazing stuff. And, I have a personal love for Liz. She's just one of the best we've ever worked with. And, with two highly competitive and athletic kids, a husband with a bad back, and two senior parents, we've used alot of PTs over the years.
  4. i have four windows xp laptops that I keep up and running. Why??? Because I have other equipment that those laptops run that windows 7/8 won't run. I'm not giving up multi-thousand dollars worth of plotters, printers, milling machines, cnc machines, etc. that won't run on a 7 machine. Now, these laptops are only on the internet long enough to get the drivers, etc. loaded and then will only be on the internet long enough to check for software updates once a month. But, I can't justify giving up this equipment.
  5. We are not - I think we talked about it. When we really looked at our scouting schedule (which is packed just about every weekend with something), we came to realize that it just wasn't realistic. I can give you the contact info for 1916 if you want to see if they have any left.
  6. Get PT orders and go to PT Solutions. Let Liz needle that hip. It will make a HUGE amount of difference. My mom has the same issue (among st others) and she swears by it. If, by chance, you went to Immediate Med in Hiram - they will write the orders for you. They love Liz.
  7. Same boat - 12 years old, but 315K miles on it. And, I would change the oil, etc., and get on the road in it. I've put almost 4500 miles on it in the last month between soccer and making trips to see oldest at college (drop off and one visit). Maintain your vehicles and they will last a very, very long time. I have a great mechanic that truly takes care of her. I hate the buying process so we buy them and keep them. Hubby's Tahoe is a 95 and has 250k miles on it. Would drive that thing just about any where as well.
  8. Non-citizens have been serving in the military for, well, most of my life time. It was one of the easiest paths to citizenshipo. But, it was limited to legal non-citizens. https://www.weareoneamerica.org/immigrants-military-fact-sheet Now, under an Obama program that is a few years old, they can join if illegal, but have been here since they were a child. The full blown program has to be approved by Congress still. http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2014/09/25/policy-to-allow-undocumented-immigrants-in-military/16225135/ To be honest, it's going to be like alot of oth
  9. My truck desperately needs an appointment with Russell and Diane. But, it never slows down enough to leave it there.
  10. I got the phone calls and a nixle alert.
  11. We've only been to Ft. Walton a couple of times. I've never been a beach person - but I do love Ft. Walton. A family member has a condo on the island and it's just wonderful. We drove over to PCB to visit some friends and was hit with the awful smell that y'all are talking about. It was horrible. The whole place just smelled like trash. We'll stay over at Ft. Walton. I've truly never had any love for the beach. But, I do wish we could get to Ft. Walton sometime soon.
  12. I fully believe that we are at the edge of World War III. I believe that my grand children or great grandchildren will learn about specific events that we know now as the start of the war - just like we know about the Archduke that was assassinated. My oldest is on his way to becoming a fighter pilot. He looked at me on his way to college and asked me point blank if I was okay with the reality that he would be going to war. I knew that was a possibility from the time he was a tiny child and he wanted to fly jets out of the ocean.
  13. In the last 20 years, I've had two sets of maytag washer/dryers - one toploading, one front loading. I would buy another set of maytags.
  14. I just hung up with him. Alot of tears on my part. It's been a tough day, I'm on antibiotics which always mess with me, and I couldn't stop them. We just really talked. I had messaged some of my friends that went through what my son is going through now earlier today. What I didn't realize is that I had included him. All three had messaged or called him within minutes of my SOS, and I think that kinda woke him up. We talked about being homesick, and never really being able to go "home." It was a good conversation. We had long planned to go up this weekend - he is making plans for shop
  15. I'm not one to ask this often. But, I need some. My oldest is, in my opinion, incredibly homesick and trying to make a horrible life decision in the midst of being homesick. He's away at college, on an incredible scholarship, and wants to quit because he doesn't like a required training program that will last about 3 more weeks. I somehow need to find the words to say to him to convince him to wait this out at least until the end of the semester. I need to find the words to comfort him and help him find his inner strength. I need to find the words to inspire him to reach farther than
  16. I logged into my account and WATCHED as over $2k disappeared from my account. I drove straight to the bank - another $1k was gone. As she was shutting down the account, another $3k disappeared. In Madrid. As in Spain. She said what they do is try 16 digit number combinations until they find something that works and then make a fake card. And, once they figure out that it works - usually with a few small transactions - they start using it like crazy so that they spend alot before the system shuts it down due to lack of funds. My bank (Regions) had everything taken care of over night.
  17. I can't imagine the stress you are under. You have my most sincere sympathies (can't empathize). Reach out to others to take care of the mundane things - cleaning, cooking, etc. Prioritize what has to be done. Forget what doesn't have to be done. This is a marathon emergency that's going to take some different logistics. But, you are an amazing, smart, and strong woman. With the right support, you'll do fine. Hugs and shoulders when you think you can't. I'm so sorry about your step dad - this isn't what he needed. Cancer is an ugly thing. So sad for your friend. I can't imagine
  18. You know. My mom had this problem. Her data usage took a huge jump. She was very upset. Of course, she brings the phone to me - what's wrong with it? I start fiddling around and figure out that facebook is "open" even when it's not active on the screen and the videos are auto playing. Gave it to the teenagers to figure out how to turn off the autoplay. She made us her best dinner as a thank you. Ahh, the generations taking care of each other.
  19. I guess this is a good example of not assuming that your experience is everyone's experience just like I shouldn't assume that everyone's experience sucks. Well, unless you're in rural KY - then your medical experience really does suck.
  20. Momof3 - you are lucky. Our original peditrician closed her practice because -care (which ever one) wouldn't pay their bills. She was owed almost $250k. Our current peditrician - I called in June to get the boys' well checks - I couldn't get on the books at all before September for physicals. The last three times we've needed sick visits - I couldn't get an appointment for the asthmatic child for two days (and that was the nurse practitioner) and ended up at urgent care. I have to schedule my gyn appts out almost three months. Now - whoever said that mammograms are quick - that's true -
  21. Seriously - I thought the same thing (male/female) but the posting didn't say. If I see it again - I'll post it here.
  22. There was an HHS employee quoted on WSB tv that this dissatisfaction was a good thing for the health care system because it would open up space for new, younger doctors to enter the system. I interpret that to mean cheaper doctors that won't complain as much because they don't know what used to be.
  23. Now - secure it to the wall - when the kids were little - I would use two small cup hooks and a little piece of chain. !
