  1. Take the bottom cover off the dryer. It's all in there. I was shocked at how much I cleaned out. Pate's came out and cleaned out the vent line, the dryer, all of it. It was a mess. I later did it again when the heating element went out.
  2. I'm surprised. He told me that about my dryer - yours must have been PACKED!!
  3. Send me his prices as well. I don't think we're going to get anymore cut and stacked before winter is over.
  4. Fire911 - I did what you suggested. I called the funeral home. The nice lady, Joan, from Caroline's called me back almost immediately and is taking care of what we need. Thanks.
  5. I saw that today. I've got four tanks that need filling and a fifth that I'll take since they only charge me for the propane that they put in. !
  6. I tried the internet flowers. That's my go-to. I've always been happy. But, we do not appear to be in one of the metro areas that has Sunday delivery of flowers through their systems. UGH!!
  7. Unfortunately, I now realize I should have ordered these this morning. But, I didn't have the money collected up yet. Now, I'm home and ready to order and I'm guessing I'm screwed. Are there any florists that will be open tomorrow that I can get an arrangement done - even I have to hand deliver it tomorrow? I feel so dumb. My momma even wondered if I could make this happen.
  8. When I started back to work, our dog had some trouble the first few weeks. After alot of research, I use a mixture of vinegar, water, rubbing alcohol (equal parts), and a few drops of dish soap. It works great. He doesn't go back to the same spot. We have some permanent damage from it. But, the reality is that the flooring wasn't very high quality to begin with. We'll have to do some kind of major remodel at some point in the future.
  9. No. I don't feel richer. I don't feel more secure. I started working full time. But, my son also started college. The only truly good thing is that my son won't come out of college with debt. My worry is that one of are 12+ year old vehicles will go kaput and we will have to replace them in short order. It's doable but not desirable.
  10. I must brag. I've had some of the BEST customer service ever today. And, three of those incidents were with young people. A very nice young man was my waiter at Chiles - he went above and beyond. A very nice young man at Best Buy not only dug through the rack to find a video game for me, but also helped me dig through the cds to find something else I was looking for. Then a very nice young lady and I had talked about the differences between vinyl and cds as we dug through a rack that she was just CERTAIN had the vinyl record set that I was looking for (and yes, it was there). And, then t
  11. I'd mix some yogurt into the rice. While you haven't been feeding her anything new - she might have gotten something new and her tummy's upset. My go to for upset puppy tummies is rice, chicken, yogurt - no seasonings. Room temp - not cold - not warm.
  12. Citizen Cain - it could have been bad just with a change of the radio station, a sip of a drink, etc. While we are all focused on texting and driving, the reality is that there are alot of distractions to driving. I have to do alot of training with my kids about my bad habits in driving. This is my first vehicle with an automatic transmission - I've always driven manuals which means that I drive one handed. Always have. Tried to break the habit when I was teaching the oldest to drive. But, ended up just reminding him that he needs both hands and why I drive with one hand. I was hopi
  13. It was more of a general warning, not at me personally. But, yes, at stop lights, I've been known to look. Usually, I have my texts read to me and I dictate the reply to the navigator. ! He's becoming more aware of driving, and he's very shocked at how many folks in general - adults and teens - that "mobile device" and drive at the same time.
  14. I'll be honest - you're very, very lucky. I nearly rear ended you tonight on Hiram Sudie Rd. And, it would have been bad. There was a tahoe in front of you which is the ONLY reason I had any idea you were slowing down or stopped. I could see the tahoe lights. You see - you have no working brake lights. Zip. Nadda. None. And, I confirmed this when we both came to a full stop at Hiram Sudie and Davis Mill. There was the possibility that you were slowing behind the tahoe using the clutch rather than the brakes. But, at the stop sign, you came to a full, smooth stop with no lights.
  15. MIL had this done. I would suggest - 1. a hair style and a hair dresser that can wash and style it for you once a week. I know - none of us what to be a roller set lady, but the reality is. And, you need to figure this out now so that you can be sure she can wash it with the neck brace. 2. stock up on easy foods - they are usually on sale this time of year. Cans of soup would be good as well. 3. I've tried the dry shampoos - I don't find them to be useful. But, maybe I'm doing something wrong. 4. Just clear your calendar and rest. You'll have enough doc appts, etc. to keep yo
  16. I found out on facebook that this applies to all high schools and middle schools.
  17. Found this in my parent email tonight and on Facebook from Hiram High School - Please note that while parent portal remains open, the “course final average” grade may NOT be the correct grade. There is a process that must be completed in order for grades to be finalized – this process will not be completed until January 5th. Course final averages may NOT be correct until the end of the day January 5th. Please keep this in mind when looking at your student’s grades on parent portal. I don't know if this applies to ALL the high schools - but I thought I would share in case you didn't ge
  18. As of now, no one has been apprehended. I do know that the scouting community has rallied around him and his family. Someone from a local office supply stored stepped up and donated all the kids' school supplies. Another individual has replaced their tv and some of their broken furniture. Scout units have donated money and gift cards. Please note - the money is being handled through a scouting unit so there is some level of tracking and accountability. If anyone had an older kindle that they are ready to part with - the kids could use that. They were using their older versions of kin
  19. Whatever Miss Sophie doesn't want - I would love to have. I eat lunch out of them every day. And, my mom left alot of hers in MD when they moved and has kicked herself ever since. She thought she wouldn't can as much now that it's just the two of them. Oh well. Let me know if you have any more you're looking to get rid of.
  20. We upgraded to uverse. I expected the worse. And, fortunately, I've been pleasantly surprised.
  21. Our cocker spaniel runs the house. I'll just say it. He's his daddy's cat. He's upstairs in our bed trying to get hubby up to feed him breakfast (it's hilarious to watch). My parents' chocolate lab isn't allowed on the furniture or the bed. He will slither up on the coach when me or my kids are at the house. Watching the 90lb lab try to hid behind the 130lb teenager when my mom walks in the room is worth it. But, he seems to know that he's only allowed to do that with us. He also knows that he's not allowed to jump on anyone - but me. I don't mind. But, he never jumps on anyone
  22. Let me clarify some of the questions. 1. This is not my personal neighbor. This is someone that I scout with. He is heavily involved in two units serving the youth of this county. As I understand he lives on Legion Lake Road in Paulding near Carroll County. I've never been to his house - I've been to his momma's house where I dropped off shoes that his units were collecting. 2. LEO does know - evidence of such is on facebook with more pictures than the two I posted. 3. He called it a hunting cam. He may have been dumbing down the name to something he thought I would understand
  23. Hunting cam that was set up in the neighbor's yard. They didn't quite get a photo of the tag on the truck.
  24. Hopefully this link from FB will work. Otherwise, I'll dream up some other way to get this information out. Basically, one of our own county families was robbed blind while he and his kids were out of town for the holidays. He needs helping finding the crooks and finding his stuff. They even took his kids' school backpacks. Really??? https://www.facebook.com/tommy.barkley.1/posts/756833977724783 These are the two guys that broke into our home on thanksgiving week while we were on vacation. One of them drives an 05-09' silver Dodge crew cab 2500 diesel, They destroyed my h
