  1. Running away laughing!!!!!!!!! Day after Thanksgiving sales - usually Michaels has great deals on them - get there early and stake it out.
  2. Cold water creek has beautiful stuff. And, if you don't like what you ordered, you can return it at the store and not pay return shipping. And, if you order it at the store, I think they deliver it to the store for free. There's alot more stuff in the catalog than there is in the store.
  3. I'm liking the middle one - better in black and white - something about the way the dress shows up on my monitor is bothering me. My second would be the first one - that's cute. Just be sure that nothing inappropriate is showing from under the overalls. Don't have my glasses on right now. The only reason I say that is because we found this picture of my mom and dad cuddled upon a couch in college. We used it for a slide show at my dad's retirement. Only when my mom was blown up to full size on the projector screen did we realize her underwear was showing underneath her 60's short dre
  4. You didn't offer me any when I was there. Besides, why do kids in trouble get such a great dinner????
  5. No, dear, not really. But, I still love you! Have you looked in Carrollton - when hubby's retired, I think that there was one in Carrollton to choose from. Hubby sees on in Austell - but he's in Powder Springs for work.
  6. I don't know - I feel kinda cursed rather than blessed. And, the docs kept saying that you lose clevage when you nurse - nursed both boys - ended up with WAY more than I started.
  7. My mom has been dealing with this also. She has an unknown immune system disorder for over 20 years now. It flairs up every so often and leaves her with a little more. Her issue, after alot of PT and chiropractic visits, is that her tendons and ligaments are getting looser and looser over time. It's allowing her hips/pelvis/etc. to all shift around, etc. Then, the muscles try to stablize her shifting anatomy. That leaves the muscles all in knots. So, very gently exercise, adjustments, and massages (for the tight muscles) are really helping her. The docs aren't sure if her tendon/ligame
  8. Nope, not from me. It would be guess (putting on my conspiracy theory hat) that this is one way that the state kinda "insures" that those on unemployment and are actively using the state job finding services kinda have a leg up in the process. This will put them at the front of the line with those that haven't been on unemployment or haven't been utilizing their services to the utmost will be farther back in line.
  9. I'd be taking it if I was looking for a job. Even if you don't think you need it. !! Heck, I might take it just to be sure that I have it if somethere were to go horribly wrong in our lives.
  10. The problem with the proposed government healthcare is that you won't be able to get it then either. If you're too old - no healthcare. If you're too sick, no matter the age, you won't get health care. If you're not valuable to society (who's definition, I don't know), you won't get health care. And, the worst part is - you won't even be able to get it if you could pay for it. They're eliminating that option also. Basically, what is being proposed is that no one will get health care in the end. I think we need solutions (preferably industry based) to solve the problems that you ha
  11. (whispered voice) I was wondering about that too?? Why wouldn't he visit you?
  12. I find this very funny - everytime I go to the post office - there's a long line and I have to wait. Obviously the post offices are still doing booming business - it's the pick up/delivery mail that has dropped off. If anything, with ebay, etc., I think the foot traffic in the post offices has actually increased over the years. Thanks goodsness for online shipping. At least I can put the postage on it before I go and just drop it in the box, usually. This makes me very sad. I think they need to consult UPS and Fed Ex to figure out what they're doing wrong. I see this is a delivery
  13. I'm one - I have Cherokee Indian background. They're finding that the native american genes as well as mixed culture genes are deficient in their database. I would be SOOO honored to donate. I don't meet the weight requirements right now. But, I'd get there quick if I had to.
  14. Calling Browns now. Thanks - I hope I can track down enough by Thursday to give them to the boys at troop meeting. Wish me luck!! This should be fun!
  15. I'm so aggravated - Sam's had told me that they could get me the buckets - they just needed to let the regional office know why their recycling weight would be down. Today - a different manager tells me that there's absolutely no way to give me the buckets. So, now I'm really hunting for buckets!!! Residential Drywall gets their mud in cardboard boxes. They transfer each job to buckets that they reuse over and over. Chik Fil A is going to save what they have - but they only use a bucket in 2 days. Any ideas would be helpful.
  16. OMG!!! That house was beautiful. I wanted to stop by and look at it. But, never had the guts.
  17. This isn't the house with the stone and cedar shakes, is it? I love that house - am planning on taking hubby to see if for inspiration!
  18. Awesome - you might be one of their original patients then!!! My son tore up his ankle in gymnastics - they were so patient and yet so pushy with him to get that taken care of - they listened to him, but didn't put up with his whining!!! Great balance. They are currently working on my hubby's back - they make a huge difference. He'll be there for a while, probably, but they're helping!!! Mom loves them to death - they don't treat her like an old lady - they are on her side on her journey to hike down the Grand Canyon at least one more time!!! She gets very frustrated with doctors/pt folk
  19. I freeze mine. But, mines more a pico de gaio (sp?) than a salsa - mine doesn't really have a tomato sauce in it. But, I make it up, drain some of the juice off, and then freeze it in vacuum seal bags. We definitely enjoy having it in January, February!!! I also make a chunky tomato topping for fish that way.
  20. Thank goodness we aren't having this problem with our dog. She's black with curly fur - it would be a nightmare. We did have a cat growing up that battled this. Mom would put brewers yeast on her food. That seemed to help. Constant vigilance is really the answer. Once you get them clear, it's absolutely essential that you keep their bedding and area cleaned - Mom bleached the area around her bedding with bleach and washed the blankets seperately in hot water ever couple of days. Once you get the animal clear, I would get rid of any bedding, etc. and just get new. It's really hard t
  21. Ask Daniel about it - he might know of some reasons (at PT solutions). Or, could you schedule it for later in the day when hubby could get you there - I don't know where he teaches. Daniel may be able to schedule you late enough in the day that it could work with hubby's schedule. T I'm glad to hear that you are going there. They are some of the nicest people. But, they are also GREAT therapists. They've worked on my son, my hubby, and my mom.
  22. We have a dvd/vcr combo machine - I've been moving all of our tapes onto dvd's. Time consuming - but since I'm at home - I just get it going and walk away. Okay, Subby, is there anything you don't do? You are such a jack of all trades - it's amazing!!!!
  23. Oh yes it is - the Supreme Court has ruled that once you put the garbage in the cans outside, you have waived your right to privacy. Also, you can be charged and a search warrant issued off what someone saw through your windows. Privacy is a very definite legal issue - and it's very well defined. Once you put things out in the public, even if you think it's private, most of the time, it's still within the realm of public knowledge. Facebook has the private setting - but that doesn't mean that someone can't require access as part of the process of joining a group, an employer, etc. Her
  24. But, in some ways it is the school's business - she represents the school publicly. It does matter what her public behavior is with regard to the school. And, since the coach asked for all of the squad's info, she wasn't being singled out. Schools can set their membership requirements how ever they want. It's my guess that the coach figured out there was a problem and where it was happening and took action. If this spilled over into school or the team, then what. Kids and people need to learn that there is no right to privacy once you put it out in public. It's like complaining that
  25. Soap Mom - I have to disagree with you on this one. Facebook is a public forum. Somehow the coach found out about the page - either she was bragging or didn't have her privacy settings to friends only or she let the coach have access. But, once a coach finds out this kind of information, they usually can't NOT deal with the information. Kids need to learn that posting this kind of stuff is eventually going to come to haunt them. Colleges are checking email addresses, facebook, and myspace during the admissions process. Employers are checking the same thing. It's easy enough, n
