We fly ours from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Our US flag was given to my husand at his Eagle Court of Honor. So, we treat it very carefully. Flags really shouldn't be up during the rain.

Thank you. That was wonderful. I sit and watch this and simliar situations and know in my heart that could be me one day. My oldest is determined to be a Naval aviator. I know it's going to be okay, no matter what happens. But, these kinds of tributes really help remind all of us of the commitment these folks make to all of us. I have four of the dividers that go a photo storage box. The box originally came from Michaels - was navy blue - and had moveable dividers made of this white plastic. It has one side that opens to store photos and another side that holds 12x12 sheets of paper - about an inch deep. If you want them, pm me and I'll figure out how to get them to you. Just want them off my desk - hate to throw them away.

I was hoping to not give the large boxes away. I have some others that I know aren't valuable - those I'm sending to a young man. But, the big boxes - there's probably thousands of cards in those boxes - I would love to find someone that would just take them off my hands. Hint, hint - would your hubby be interested? Maybe trade some cards for time to explain what I've got???

Okay guys, I need some advice. Someone gave my boys two very large boxes of baseball cards a few years ago. We haven't even opened the boxes. That fad came and went quickly. I need to know how to get rid of them now. I will go through them just to check on two players that I am concerned about, but beyond that, I just need them out of the house.

One of my nieces was born at 26week and 1 lb 15 oz - she's now six. A few problems, but nothing overwhelming. My other niece (her sister) was born at 28 weeks and 2 lb 2 oz - she is now two. She is perfectly fine other than needing glasses. Both were cared for in VA and are just miracles in our family - and they are the first girls in a long, long time.

I don't think that clear sodas have the ingredient that can leach calcium from your bones (carbonic acid). I'm fairly certain that's an ingredient in brown soda that stablizes the color. But, I could be wrong - and I don't have any in the house so I can't check. And, yes, anything in excess is bad for you.

I have heat issues with my laptop - over heating will cause mine to run slow, crash, and turn itself off. I bought a $20 cooling fan that goes underneath the laptop (seperate item - does keep it from burning my legs) that runs off the usb port. Never had the problem again.

This is the only thing that I've ever had work - ammonia. It may finish ruining the item - but it will work also. I had to clean some scout flags that can't be replaced that had mildew all over them. I used a tooth brush and very carefully worked the material. I'm not sure what the ammonia will do to the lycra/spandex of the suit. But, since it's basically ruined anyway, it might just work.

My youngest broke his elbow when he was three. The recommendation was Children's because it can be such a devestating injury to a pedatric patient - I would only take my child there.

when you find someone that does great work. My ceilings all through out the house needed to be painted, badly. I've been meaning to do it and just haven't gotten around to it. Hubby and youngest (the "sensitive to everything" child) are gone to summer camp this week - so I hired a friend that is also a painter to paint the ceilings. I even got hubby to agree to an every so slightly shade of blue (which he proclaimed to be very southern - it's a southern tradition to paint ceilings blue because it makes you seem cooler).
