Tell them that you swallowed a watermelon seed. lol. Seriously, I understand your frustration. I was laid off from a job when I was pregnant and was unable to secure employment until after my daughter was born. Good luck with your search, and congratulations on your upcoming bundle of joy.

I think the important thing to focus on here is that a man lost his life. Prayers for his loved ones.

The Avenues sounds much better so we all renamed it to suit our satisfaction. This is a terrible, terrible tragedy, and my thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of this couple.

Accident with a fatality in Hiram....
PauldingPeach replied to UnknownComic's topic in RECENT TOPICS
My daughter and I saw all of this going on last night, but we were able to work our way around the disaster. We weren't sure of the details, but by the amount of emergency vehicles, figured it must have been bad. I was hoping that was not the case. Prayers going up for the families involved. Have they released any info on the accident victims? -
My daughter stated that Life Flight landed at Hiram High last week for a possible shooting in a nearby subdivision. I haven't seen reports on it. Anyone know anything?

Rumor of Extra Cops and Roadblocks This Weekend
PauldingPeach replied to UnknownComic's topic in RECENT TOPICS
The officer that we had when we went through the 92/Hiram Sudie block the other night was very pleasant. He asked for my daughters license, then mine of course because my daughter has only a learners, and then we were on our Merry way. I've got no problem with road blocks. If it gets more drunks off of the street, I'm all for it. I see it as a public service to keeping my family safer. Tax payers money at work. -

It changes you forever. Somehow, we learn to cope but we never stop missing them. I've lost both of my parents. God bless you. -

We just went through. They are checking ID's and tags and such. It looks like every car in the county is out there. IDK if they are looking for someone or if it's just a planned set up. My teenage daughter was driving. It was her first road block. lol... scared her to death but she did good.

who was the very first pcom member you met?
PauldingPeach replied to Lady Raider's topic in RECENT TOPICS
For the life of me, I can't remember who was the first, but I met quite a few back in the earlier days of pcom. -
It happens more often than people think. That was almost like reading my own story. Geeky boy from school had a crush on me in middle and high school, then he moved away because he was a military brat. I NEVER had a clue that he liked me until he found me on FB and told me. I thought it was sweet at first. Then he got creepier and creepier. Showing up at places I was at. Obtained my cell number and home number. Would leave angry and agitated messages when I didn't answer. Honestly, he scared me to death. He was creepy and intelligent, which scared me even more. I did some research a

Fleas: Is Anyone Else Seeing More This Year?
PauldingPeach replied to ButterflyLion's topic in RECENT TOPICS
The fleas are horrid here this year. My inside cats have NEVER had fleas, and this year I've given them flea bath after flea bath and treated the house many times over. They are still scratching. Recently I brought one of the outdoor dogs in to live inside with the cats because she is allergic to fleas and nothing that the vet prescribed would keep them off. We treated the yard many times also. Strangely, my full blooded Beagle doesn't seem to be bothered by them. The flea meds have worked with him. COMFORTIS WARNING: Make sure you watch your pets carefully when they are on this m -
Coming from someone who just quit her job with no where to go and nothing lined up, I say this: If your current situation is bearable, your boss is good, and you like what you do, I say stay. From my work experience, you are going to have good and bad in almost every company out there. Now, with my situation, it was unbearable. I received verbal abuse nearly every day from upper management, as well as from a couple of my own employees. I was doing the work of about four people at a very low rate of pay. I needed a job terribly, and I did try to find something else first, but I took as

I'm sorry to hear that you have Lyme Disease. People (and yes, even Doctors) do not understand what we who have invisible illnesses go through. I have Fibromyalgia and recently tested positive then negative on my ANA screen. They are now testing to see if I may have Multiple Sclerosis. Fibromyalgia is a very debilitating condition, yet, just as with the Lyme Disease, it is considered "not real". I'm here to tell you that it is very, very real. The saying "walk a mile in my shoes" comes to mind. If you CAN walk a mile in my shoes, I promise, when you get back, you will understand just ho

Where to eat & what to do in Daytona?
PauldingPeach replied to Georgiahorse's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Caribbean Jacks was very good. We ate outside on the deck that overlooks the marina. They have these glider tables that are really cool. They also had a live band playing on deck when we were there. The atmosphere, food and service were great. Afterwards, we walked the docks and to our pleasant surprise, there was a Manatee playing in the harbor. Like everyone else said, go to Ponce Inlet for sure. We climbed to the top of the lighthouse. The view was breath taking. Know that it is a very difficult climb for anyone who isn't in tip top condition. It is very hot and stuffy in th -
Yes, I went through at 7:30. They unblocked the road and were starting to depart. We went to Happy Hawg and ate. When we came back through around 8:20, everything was clear. I live in a subdivision on Waters.
