  1. But you left out the most important question: Where is the funding necessary to even take a long shot at taking on the Richardson/Paulding County Republican Party Machine ? What did Austin have to spend to take on King Jerry? It would have taken double or triple that amount to take on Richardson. The special election which will be called to fill Richardson's seat could well bring some out from the shadows. It will be interesting to watch this develop. I know several who have already expressed an interest.
  2. It depends on the attorney, AND the amount of insurance limits assuming you are settling with the insurance company.
  3. Glad I have my High Waders on because that stuff sure is deep today. Way, way, way too much water has gone under the bridge for such high minded ideals. Just deal with the reality......If you want to throw those stones then get the hell out of the glass house. If you are going to base your political platform on family values, high morals, and outstanding ethics, then you had best be prepared to live your life in that manner. Mr Speaker didn't, and it came back and bit him in the ass.
  4. I already have told Feelip to get ready for this as I figured Shearin will be the "Heir-Apparent" even though David Austin beat him 71% to 29%. Take your typing pills Whitey, I have the feeling you are going to be busy again. And of course, the Ethics Commission who swept Richardson's complaints under the carpet is the same one who swept the complaints against Shearin under the carpet as well. And ALL of this is based on Richardson resigning as Speaker AND resigning his seat in the Legislature. I figured he would try to hang on to his seat.
  5. Buy them, unless you have a great deal of time on your hands. Preparing the dough is easy. Rolling them out takes FOREVER!!! The commercial ones are formed by machinery. Doing them by hand is just very, very, time consuming. Basically I use my baggette dough recipe [flour, yeast, water, kosher salt] and add in what cheese I want to use in the kitchen-aid with the dough hook after preparing a sponge starter dough. I like parmesean or romano best. After the first proof, you need to divide the dough into 8 balls, and cover 7 of them with a moist linen towell while you divide t
  6. When a politician chooses to base his platform on "Family Values", and goes around wearing his religion on his sleeve, then he had best be true to both the family values and the religion. Richardson was true to neither. He chose to live in the glass house, AND to throw stones. And they are now his downfall. His Mandatory Bible Study Bill was an insult to the people of the State of Georgia. And to sponsor and pass such a Bill and then NOT follow through to see to it his own school system in Paulding adopted the Bible Study course shows how it was just religious vote pandering.
  7. You noticed their absence as well huh ? Can't say I miss them, but their posts on this topic speaks volumes.
  8. I have been to the altar twice, and did not get the opportunity to ask either time. Never had a Father in Law at all. Had either been alive though, I would have asked. When daughter and Mexican Son in Law "Informed" us they were getting married, I told them that was just wonderful, and that since they had not followed Mexican tradition by asking me first, then mom and I were absolved for all those other irrelevant traditions like paying for the wedding and presenting a dowry, etc. The look on Son-in-Law's face was priceless.

Hey guys, I am waiting to hear from my guy in south Carolina. We have a little snag, and he is trying to take care of it. NPIP [i think that's the right initials] has thrown us a curve. There is a ban right now on moving adult birds across state lines here in Georgia. It has something to do with an outbreak of a poultry related disease [not avian influenza, but one of the other ones] and they have placed a temporary ban in effect. Russ is trying to find out if it is for a couple of days, a week, or indefinite. If indefinite, then we are up the creek, because he cannot afford t
  10. Call it what you want, but it will always be Hartsfield to me.
  11. We will all have to sit back and wait to see how this plays out. However, I do have to note. Dale Russell has been the investigative reporter for channel 5 in Atlanta since before they were Fox. At least 20-25 years. Susan Richardson was holding was were supposed to be the copies of the emails, plane tickets, etc. detailing the alledge "Affair" between the Speaker and the Atlanta Gas Light lobbyist. I would be willing to place a substantial wager Dale Russell was allowed to review those email copies prior to the interview. He ain't gonna put his neck on the chopping block to take
  12. You can use regular sausage if you already have it, and add the fennel, anise, and oregano. I would also add flat leaf parsley and red pepper chips [but I like it kicked up a notch or 2]. Some onion would be nice as well. and a nice chianti or valipocella red wine.
  13. That is basically my take as well. I believe we will see Susan Richardson's statements hold water, and plenty of it. She goes off for the weekend with her new beau. Leaves the kids with their dad, who then spends the weekend harassing, intimidating and then threatening her. She comes home, gets the kids, and refuses to speak with him. So the Speaker goes off the deep end and does his suicide thing. But he was unprepared for his momma dialing 911, instead of someone's private number so the suicide story went out over the scanners on Sunday night, and by Friday, the Spin doc
  14. A diner after my own heart. Lobster Sashimi, as well as Shrimp, are both nice. I have had them still moving once, and a really upscale Japanese place in Santiago Chile. They had what appeared to be a salmon also, skinned out on the upper side, sliced and occaisionally it's eye or a fin would move. But when it comes down to the cost, you can get a lot of AAA grade Ahi tuna steaks for what a lobster costs you.
  15. Actually, there are several members of Glenn's DEFENSE Posse missing in action. I have to assume the heat got a bit unbearable in the kitchen.
  16. From what ABC news had last night, it is NOT mandatory in Florida to report a single car accident. And they were saying public or private property. So I would have to agree, that unless he is wanting a Sheriff's/FHP report for insurance purposes, he can pay for it out of pocket and walk away.
  17. Old Jake and Elroy were twin alligators who lived in the swamp near the courthouse. One of his buddies asks Elroy one day why he is such a thin scrawny gator, while his twin Jake was so big and huge ? Elroy had to reply he just didn’t know why. They both lived in the same swamp and generally ate lawyers as no one missed them much. Elroy’s buddy asked him to describe a typical meal, and Elroy explained how he staked out the BMWs, Porsches, Mercedes and Volvos in the courthouse parking lot, and how when the driver went to get in, he would grab them and shake the sheeze out of them b
  18. I disagree NJ. This appears to be an on-going altercation between and ex-husband and ex-wife, AND it also appears the ex-husband has been attempting to use his influence as an elected official and Speaker of the House of Representatives as a means of intimidation. As the Republican Speaker of the House, this does indeed make it something for the State Republican Party to very much be involved with, and the Ethics Commission.
  19. A Lobster Bag, what else ? For what they charge you, they should send them home in a chauffered limosine, but they will but them in a stout bag with breathing holes and a handle. The claws will either have heavy duty rubber bands holding them shut, or sometimes a wooden wedge placed in the hinge of the claw joint. I prefer them broiled, with a breaded stuffing in the tail meat [make a slice along the underside of carpace to put the stuffing in, and this will help keep the tail flat [without it curling] when they are cooked.
  20. Boil them or Broil them, whole. Broiling is a bit trickier, but I think leaves the tail meat with a better texture. Garlic, butter, and kosher salt. Boiling in a crab-boil and lemons, but he needs to come out as soon as he starts to turn color. If over cooked the tail meat becomes like rubber. Plunge into ice water to arrest the cooking. Remove the meat from the tail and claws, and rewarm in hot garlic butter. Their nervous system is basically the same as a bug [anthropod] and there really is no reason to try to euthanize them prior to cooking.
  21. Both of whom SHOULD recuse themselves in the event the matter were to come before them for obvious conflicts of interest. But with the Richardson divorce filing, not only did Judge Osborne choose to NOT recuse himself, if memory serves me correctly he had his clerk intercept the filings and remove it from the normal rotation to make certain he got the case. Why ? I don't blame Susan Richardson one bit for going public. That gave her media headlight protection. And I have the feeling this story is not over yet.
  22. With 2 of the 3 sitting Superior Court judges, are you really sure that would be the approach you would want to take ? Granted, you have a 33% chance of drawing the judge not formerly with THE FIRM. By going public she has indeed nipped any further harrasment in the bud and no law enforcement officers would be willing to do any "favors" for Richardson. By threatening her with the GBI and the State Patrol he is the one who forced the issue into the public light. I applaud Ms Richarson for staying in the background and keeping his secrets up to now. But I believe it was indeed time to sp
