I still have mine up. I will pull down David's and Todd's today. Gary Black's will have to stay up for another couple of months though.

Those are bone-in and with the skin, but a very good price. Depending on your knive skills, you can turn them into boneless skinless breasts for less than $1.50 a pound, and if cooked with the skin on the meat will be juicier.

Will is a breathe of fresh aire in otherwise stale atmosphere. And hey, Glenn Richardson and his pals Jery and Virginia are lurking in the background. We are not done with them yet.

Challenge to Chairman of the BOC and other Post Commissioner
surepip replied to clover's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Clover, Welcome aboard! Take some time to study the history of what has gone down with Paulding under Shearin's reign, and then take a closer look at Todd Pownall and David Barnett. None of the commissioners are going to get squat from the RBMDs in the near future. Not that I can PROVE they got anything before.....I am just saying..... King Jerry took office with a salary of $60k. He "got" Richardson and company to bump it to the mid $90s. I am not aware of another boost to $125k. I will say David Austin earns what he gets. The other post commissioners are in the $20k area if -
City of Roswell vs. Roo Roo and his Harem of Hens
surepip replied to tmilanese's topic in RECENT TOPICS
When I visit a commercial breeder facility or a hatchery, I have to sign in and state that I have not been exposed to or around any other birds for 72 to 96 hours. In addition, al ot of the facilities, I have to shower in, put on their clothes, and then shower out, putting back on my clothes. Bio-security has always been an issue, but since the avian influenzas started rearing their heads it got a lot more strict. -
City of Roswell vs. Roo Roo and his Harem of Hens

Isn't that special! I wish I could have a backyard flock, but in my line of business I cannot be around any birds of any kind. -
Left over flank steak cut on the bias....very rare. So I am going to stir fry it with some blanched broccoli, onions, garlic and ginger.

Will Avery or Roy Barnes ?

If you can accommodate the times, I now park at the Hiram Park&Ride, and take the GRTA bus to the 5 Points Marta Station. $3 includes the Marta Card. The buses leave every 15 minutes starting super early-thirty in the morning until 7:51am. There is also 1 or 2 "Reverse Commute" trips in the afternoon. Check the website, but it is around 4:45. Coming back you buy the standard Marta fare, and that will get you on the GRTA bus. There is one "reverse commute" early in the morning, like 6:45 or so from either the plaza on the backside of the 5 Points STation, or the Civic Center

Paulding County BOC passes millage rate increase
surepip replied to LPPT's topic in Paulding County NEWS
And I am equally certain the BOC would rather you have your net worth considerable more than it is now, and your real assets far more liquid, AND TO COLLECT THE TAXES ON THOSE VALUES AT LAST YEARS MILLAGE RATE. And as you very clearly point out, things would be better for all of us if we had a diversified tax base whereby industry and businesses providing local well paying jobs could pick up half that tax revenue tab. But in the interim, the BOC was stuck with a Tax Digest which had dropped an average of 17.5% across the board. So other than putting county workers on the street corners -
Is Drew unconcerned about the right to trial?
surepip replied to Cabe's topic in Paulding County NEWS
Granted, not all of the campaign disclosure reports are in, but I know there was little to NO RBMD money on Austin or Graham 2 years ago, not on Barnett or Pownall yesterday. Now go back and take a look at Shearin's reports, along with Kirby and Echols, and it is no big deal to follow the money. Then go an look at which developers were bringing up High Density Projects which were all rubber stamped and approved.....under Shearin's administration. That has not been the case the past 18 months with Austin. Granted, we have enough re-zoned graded lots ready to build on to last us for -
Hey, we had Jerry in office for 2 full terms, and only just dodged a bullet with getting his protege' yesterday. I see Roy's train as being difficult at best, to derail as of this point in time.

We offered to sit down and discuss settlement. We were informed Powell, Kirby and Ragsdale vote to decline. At this stage we prefer to let a jury decide our settlement, so all of this is irrelevant to our case.

The law requires them to roll back the millage rate if the tax digest goes back up. If they don't roll it back, they have to advertise it as a tax increase and hold the public meetings. Now, the $64 question is "How much will they roll it back ?". Shearin's BOC would indeed roll back the millage rate every year of his 2 terms, but only by the tiniest fraction. Then they would slap each other on the backs and give congratulations, etc. Problem is the assessment rates were going up 10% and more per year, so even though they "technically" lowered the millage rate, when you got your tax bill i

Now at this same juncture, tie in the rabid attack the past 2 days on Todd Pownall by RR, and company. Comrades in arms with Virginia Galloway pushing to get Beverly Cochran elected. They are going to use every tool at their disposal to accomplish their goals. This includes many of the previous top people of the local GOP and King Jerry himself. Does it start to make sense and add up ? If not, you are not looking with your eyes open.
-
There have been virtually no development rezonings in the past 2 years. The thousands of available lots, empty houses, overgrown abandoned subdivisions are the result of King Jerry and company.

And others with a good job out of the deal. Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus

My wife works for the state, and I am well aware of what typical state/government jobs pay compared to the private sector. For government, $65k for as so many of you have spoken up about, "only the clerk for the BOC" should be paying half of what she was making. She had a sweetheart deal with Shearin, for sure. Add to that the education background, and $65k is insulting. For a BA in business administration or polysci with 18 years on the job, for any branch of the government as an administrative aide will be taking in maybe in the $40s. I believe Beverly has a 1 year "certificate" fro

Just don't overcook it please!

Too bad everyone working for the county was not making the kind of $Jack$ she was. Trim a handful of $65,000 a year jobs with benefits and retirement packages and they would not have to look for ways to increase the revenue. Unfortunately, I doubt there are too many clerical assistants making that much. Drew will have to lay off 2 more to equal laying off Beverly. Whoops, I'm BAD. I forgot about her $50,000 severance. So what, 2 at $32,500 and 2 at $25,000.

Ah.....one of my favorites. Is it Frenched? Has the sinew and fat been skinned down the rib bones leaving them exposed ? How big is it ? Weight, and length. Normally they are only half racks. How do you like your meat ? While pondering that, take the critter out. Skin off the siney layer on the bone side. Score the fat side with a sharp knive into a 1" checkerboard but don't cut into the meat. Place it on a rack of some sort where air can get all around it, use kosher salt and fresh ground pepper on both sides....liberally. Kosher salt has half the strength of regular table

And the head of the Georgia Chapter is our very own Virginia Galloway, formerly the chairman of the local GOP, and defactor co-campaign manager for Beverly Cochran. With Jerry Shearin helping her out. These are the ring leaders for Reagan Republican as well as Ithy/Praise Thee. And they are scrambling with everything they have to not lose their last handholds on Paulding Politics.
-
But your double standards are showing. You defend Beverly's decision and right to specifically decline a question concerning the SPLOST at a public discussion on film, which was to be on the same primary ballot in the election in which she was running. Yet you insist Todd come forward and specifically answer your questions concerning the proposed millage rate increase of which he will have no vote allowable in the process ? You need to up your med dosage.
-
Just wait until November. Right now so much of this is amusing. That is watching the various factions of the local GOP bloody up each other so badly. I hope RR's meds hold out through tomorrow night. Otherwise he might blow a head gasket. If he hasn't already.

Has anyone asked if the mill rate will go DOWN?
surepip replied to EagleWings's topic in Paulding County NEWS
If assessments go up, and the tax digest increases a certain amount [i don't remember the formula] then they have to either approve a millage rate decrease, or hold the required public meetings advertised for the purpose of discussing the non-rollback as a tax increase. Now, I would think asking at tomorrows meetings your hypothetical question would be pertinent; "Will the BOC decrease the millage rate next year by 0.95 mills if the tax digest next year increases by 14.5% ?". And get Pubby to get the replies on film. I believe the bond service millage rate floats automatically by the i
