OK, so I see that when you deposit your money, you are really just making a loan to the bank. (seems to me this would be helpful to the banks) But what I am confused about is why they think that those who deposited money "contributed to the crisis"?

This is the first I have heard or read about this. I am somewhat confused, because, in reading the link, it says this: "German Chancellor Angela Merkel said the deal was right for Cyprus because it ensured that those who contributed to the crisis were required to pay towards its resolution. "I am very pleased that a solution was found last night and that we have been able to avoid an insolvency," Merkel said."

Always curious....Do you not have indoor plumbing? Shouldn't you be paying your employees enough to afford a house with indoor plumbing....or do they perhaps need to rethink their needs? And what about all the money we are sending to support wars and other countries? I was just curious about your feelings on this, since your response didn't address a lot of what was presented in the original post, but just focused on your own personal situation?

This sounds like truthful ramblings, from my perspective of things.

I don't think I have posted on pcom, in ref. to this sweet little boy. But I have also been praying for this beautiful little boy all along.

I will have to go back and take a fresh look at the videos and start looking closer at the details, in this case. I am just still so emotional and unable to get past the "baby shot in the head" part!

I think love may be the key. You know.....there are people who have done very well, and who are wonderful people, but who were raised in poor and/or horrible conditions. I think maybe the difference is love. Even those whose backgrounds were bad, that turned out good, often describe that they had love as a child, even if they had nothing else. I would be curious to know what these guys backgrounds are.

First......This INFURIATES me, at the creeps who did this!!! :angry2: Then I feel extremely saddened and sorry for the baby, mother and other family members! I will include them in my prayers. When I heard about this, I was shocked and then cried.

I sure hope you get to feeling better quickly. I know all about severe back and joint pain, and it stinks!!! You will be in my thoughts and prayers now, as well. Hang in there!

I had mixed feelings. I found it somewhat funny, but also scary and disturbing. I was thinking, to myself, I just hope this poor guy doesn't have an underlying heart problem.

I totally agree! But.....These options are better than nothing at all. At least the victim would have some control and some options. For the woman in this situation, it might have saved her life. She might have gladly accepted the device. Granted this isn't necessarily "ideal", but it seems to me, that it would be better than living in hiding or living in constant fear.

It may not be for everyone, but I would say that if the victim wanted this as an option, then it should be available. I guess the other option would be to go into hiding, as was mentioned also. But.....if it were me, and I didn't want to live my life in hiding, I might choose this as my option. I guess the victims could also choose to not take any of these, as well, and take their chances.

This sounds like an excellent idea and possible solution to me.

I like the idea, but still would have to be careful that children didn't get a hold of it.

Why can't tv makers design a stand built on the tv, and/or device that would prevent this, if the statistics show this to be a problem?
