  1. Cha-Ching! You got that right. The airport is here, might as well make money off of it. Somebody's got to pay the taxes.
  2. We've had DAYS of this..................I haven't been out of the house for days either. Today is a roast turkey breast with stuffing and gravy and green beans with potatoes. Yum.
  3. And candy. Lots of candy. And cute little cheerleaders and dancers and lots of marching bands
  4. Me and my boyfriend saw it at the Judean drive-in. Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway HOT!
  5. And the beat goes on.................
  6. Oh My! Who's watching Bonnie and Clyde tomorrow night on the History Channel?
  7. You too! I wanted to go to the parade and take the little ones, but it was just too cold for us. It seems like I've been sick for a month and didn't want to make anything worse.
  8. O.M.G, it's always something......................
  9. I used to love eating at Campbells in Smyrna. We're the same age, by the way. And I used to work on the square in Marietta back in the day, and he would be on the square hollering his non-sense.
  10. Concerning the funeral of Margaret Thatcher: "None of the former presidents will be going, including George W. Bush." source Now, concerning the oppressive, iron rule occupation of South Africa by the British Crown, I would have to say "any means necessary", just as our revolutionaries won our independence from the British Crown. None of us on here can even begin to imagine what it must have been like living in South Africa during the British rule. As bad as it was here before, during and after the civil war, conditions for black folks were bad but nothing li
  11. I always remember December 7, because of my grandparents and my mother. I heard about it all of my life growing up. I tried to teach my children who are now in their 30's and they don't remember unless I remind them. I often wonder about our country if we were to have the same call to duty with the generations that we have now. I can't begin to imagine how my grandparents with their two children and their brothers and sisters living around them, all on farm land, how they must have felt when they heard the news on the radio. They had to have been scared about what was happening and
  12. I bought the last two bags at New Georgia yesterday. You might want to call.
  13. I've used Carrollton twice after several frustrating experiences at Cedartown with a bunch of hateful employees. You would think each time they helped or answered a question, it came out if their paycheck. Really. By far, Carrollton is the easiest and the folks there are nice. And yes, if you're a woman who has changed her name through marriage, more documents are needed. Like this is really going to stop anything. Fake names and SS numbers are bought and paid for all the time.
  14. That's wonderful news! It doesn't get any better than living in Florida and having your kids and grandkids there. Hopefully a miracle will present itself with a nice home and neighborhood they can afford!
  15. I want to try this one http://www.foodnetwo...ml?ic1=obinsite I do buy the Rhodes frozen Parker House rolls when I can find them, I place them in a greased muffin pan, cover, let them rise and bake and they are very good.
  16. I've always been pleased with Marietta Dermatology and they have a Lost Mountain office. I've used them for years.
  17. Whew, I'm tired just from reading how to make it. I think I'll pass and visit you one day when you make one. LOL
  18. Told you you should have gone to the Marietta Diner. We got there around 2:00 (I was thinking it would be in-between whatever people do on Thanksgiving) and I was right. We had about a 5 minute wait, and we ate and ate and ate, and brought home so many goodies and desserts. I'm still eating. LOL....................... Oh, and when we came out, the folks were lined up outside. But I'm glad it worked out for you, that was really nice having a free dinner, and the tip you left was very generous for those hard working folks! That's what Thanksgiving is about.
  19. I would rather have 2 sick children than 1 sick man. What babies!
  20. I FINALLY got my grandsons pictures this week after 8 phone calls and waiting since September. I told her I wanted to file a complaint and I would/did contact the Principal and the Board. I will NOT use them for his senior pictures next year.
