  1. Yes I think it is, like riding in the back of a pickup on a public road. The place on Macland road that has the corn field maze, and "HAY RIDES" is open again this year, give them a shout, and just take everyone there for both events.
  2. I just got a call from these folks too, they contacting people with septic tanks or cesspools! I hate robo calls. Got a call earlier today from a home improvement company, live, and I went off about being on the "Do not call list". He says "You're in the White pages!" , and I say "It doesn't matter, do not call me!". He says " You're in the White pages, and I can call anyone I want in the White pages!" How do you argue with stupid!!!!!!
  3. About 12 years ago the preferred location to dump fuel, was the area just north of Seven Hills. Don't know if that is still true due to the development in that area.
  4. Look back at the number of times we have armed people in the past. Iran against Iraq, that worked well. The Taliban against Russia, another surprise treat there. Mexicans against,,,,, other Mexicans I guess, which got DEA agents killed. What will the "Moderates" do to us when and if they win???? We will never, ever win a holy war in the middle east!!!!
  5. Actually VE day was May 8fh, and VJ day was September 2,,, but what the hell,,, you're on a roll, LOL!!! It's was fortunate that Japan surrendered when they did, 'cause we didn't have any more nukes to drop on them at that time! Harry did a fine job in office!!!!!
  6. How about an episode of Red Dwarf with a guest appearance by G&O.... I think I can hear Stradial having the BIG-O now!!!!
  7. Call Ragsdale HVAC, or Rainwater HVAC. Have all the particulars ready, make/model and sizes of the fan and the shaft that it fits on. If they don't have, or can't order it, they may have a used unit with a workable part in their boneyard. If that fails you can try looking up the make and model online in a DYI site. If they don't have it, use a number from local calls or online to search Amazon.com, or Ebay. Good Luck!!
  8. My guess is for ventilation, while keeping rain out,,, but just a guess.
  9. I'm thinking it was someone who has/had an ax to grind with her husband, and beat her up to make a point. I didn't like the way he acted during the tv interview. No visible anger about the attack, and little empathy for his wife, just a little lip service,,, something about that wasn't right.
  10. I usually hit the one in New Hope,,,, I'll try Lost Mountain next time. Thanks!
  11. Last time I went to Publix's for a cheese-steak, I noticed they no longer have a grill! They just pile it up on a roll and stick the whole thing in a toaster oven,,,, not good. But I suppose their cold sandwiches are as good if not better than anywhere else, given the quality of the meat. Any takers out there for Quizno's or Firehouse sub's????
  12. This store is replacing the Rockmart store they were closing. Does anyone know if Doug is going to have a Trivia night in PS? Doug has the best format for Trivia that I have seen so far, IMHO. They are all good people, and I wish them the best of luck with the new store.
  13. It's a real shame the HD doesn't need a liquor licence,,, think of the fun we could have in there then,,, in the front door, get a 22 oz draft,,, wander around getting ideas for new projects. Danged old HD really screwed up!!!!
  14. You know why??? They went after all of the commercial property in an area with as little residential as possible. That way they get taxes without having to answer to voters!!!! Lots of cities do this.
  15. 30 years!!! Then I have to agree with CC and Sound Guy about the pine beetles,,, you could try County Co-op Extension agent for help with identification and any controls.
  16. If it is just around the house, I would say you have dead trees due to root damage from building. I have a lot of Pine trees here, but the only trees dying are Oaks and Sweet Gums, and very few of those.
  17. You really think they are going to have a flight going where you want to go, when you want to go?!?!?! Have you given any thought as to how you will get back, with only 2 flights a week?????? Like the articles says, been tried several places, and it didn't work,,,, especially the "Build it and they will come",,,, you make me laugh!
  18. Really, google - Airfields of Dreams and get your mind right, Luke!
  19. It would be very interesting to see a map that explains who all has been annexed! I live very close to the northern border of the city limits,,, and if I was annexed, will I get free trash service? Lots of questions.
  20. Nope,,, the '38 had a wrap around grill, and a single lattice type vent on the engine cover. Door frame and opera window are different as well,,, but I will defer to your expertise.
  21. Sure, the floor of the business coupe was flat from the trunk opening, to the back wall just in back of the front seat. Now whether they had a bed width that size is another story.
  22. The radiator cowl is from a 35 Chevy, and the whole thing may be a proof of concept car, which car companies did a lot of through the years. The only thing I see which may not be "Stock" Chevrolet, is the fender tire mount, and that may be an Olds fender. That one thing, (the fender mount), is what adds authenticity. Who would think to do that? The Aussies have been building "Utes" for years, but I don't know when they started, I think it was the late 40's.
  23. I think the guy you're looking for was Bruce Sutter. Came from St L as their ace closer, but spent 3 years here nursing a bad shoulder that never healed. They finally released him with one year left on his contract (1.8M), and he then retired, but came in for every home game just to throw batting practice. He pitched in maybe 50 games over the 3 or 4 years, but obviously didn't live up to his billing.
  24. I see it the same way, but to shut the kids up, I shot a cat out of a tree with a high powered water jet. I had to hit it twice, but it came down on some pine straw and ran off like a,,, well like a scared cat! I don't know about 50 feet though, 5 stories is a long way, even for a cat. Might try tempting it with food, as in rattle a can opener and see if it gets brave enough to come down on its own.
