  1. I guess Pubby missed this: "without demeaning the other side". Now the Postman gets in on it, too. I'm fiscally conservative, I don't care what you do in your bedroom. I don't care what you do with your unwanted babies, as long as you don't force me to pay for any of it, that's between you and your maker. I'll pray for those unborn children.
  2. Thousands of California soldiers forced to repay enlistment bonuses a decade after going to war http://www.latimes.com/nation/la-na-national-guard-bonus-20161020-snap-story.html
  3. Channel 206 on DirecTV is ESPN. You should be able to see the game there.
  4. I drive by there often, there were a lot of Elrod's trucks there for about a week while they were erecting the fence. Maybe they are going to move some of their operations over there? Just a guess.
  5. Every penny of gate sales at Paulding Meadows goes to other non-profits in Paulding County. The fees the exhibitors pay are used to put the festival together each year. There are 10 non-profit sponsoring organizations that split the gate receipts. Every food concession is a non-profit in Paulding County. This is an event for the benefit of the community. No person on the board of directors has ever profited from the festival and no one gets paid, we are all volunteers. It's a lot of work, and many groups use the funds raised at the festival to provide programs for kids in the county.
  6. Call your creditors, tear up your credit cards. Negotiate a lower monthly payment and do not incur any more debt, keep your mortgage current, that's first and foremost. You can do this on your own, it just takes discipline. In the future, if you "want" something, save up what the monthly payments would be then go pay for it, with cash. Credit should only, always, be used for an emergency, otherwise just pay cash or use layaway. Give up cable, find a cheaper way to access the internet, plan your meals, eat at home. If you stick to the payment plan you agree to, you will not have your
  7. I wonder how loud the left would get if these were naked statues of Hillary? Really, think about it. The media would become seriously unglued.
  8. If you watched the video, Freebird would have known Tabitha said the revenues may have been underestimated in the original budget. Nothing was cut, just more revenue than anticipated. I do know Freebird, nice guy.
  9. I just want to give a HUGE thank you to Sue Wilkins for recording this and all the meetings. Times are not always convenient for all to attend, without her doing this and sharing it with all of us, many would not even be able to know what goes on at these meetings. There have been hours and hours of recordings, uncut and available for everyone. Thank you Sue. The comments were from both sides, I had to ask people to hush more than once, not everyone on the left of the speaker is opposed to commercialization, and not everyone one the right were supporters. I also want to thank Terr
  10. I would suggest you speak to the airport director, he can give you the answers to your questions, so you have the facts. Just look up Paulding County airport, the number is easily found. It is my understanding an environmental assessment is suposed to be complete, it's the main hold up on everything because it's being challenged it court. I know nothing about or have heard nothing about anything deteriorating, I have attended almost every airport authority meeting since November 2013. I have heard nothing like that.
  11. Yes the payments for the bonds have to be made. The problem as I see it, is that they jumped the gun on this commercialization. The airport department started work, signed contracts and applied for the Part 139 before a proper Environmental Assessment was completed. If they had started with the 60 acre lease (completely separate lease) and developed the airport before applying for the 139, they would be generating income now. Over and over we heard the Part 139 was just a small portion, but they jumped on it first. Because the FAA said the prior EA was not sufficient, then no dirt can be
  12. Not that it matters but Whitey is right. Write in candidates don't have to qualify. However, there are some strict guidelines that must be followed to the letter. As for me, I'm taking a looooooooonnnnnnggggggggggg break from politics. The ugliness of this election is something I don't ever want to deal with again. There is nothing wrong with being nice, even to those you don't agree with. Have a great day everyone. I'm just thankful for this day the Lord has made.
  13. I case y'all didn't notice, I wasn't running for office. And yes, Roger's original campaign manager had to step back because of a possible employment situation. I regret nothing, I didn't try to destroy a good man with lies. You get to live with that. We never mentioned the damaged propeller. I'm still trying to figure out how someone can be upset about $400,000 in legal fees, for a project that was passed by Planning and Zoning, but not upset about a $500,000 crash truck, a $3.6 million dollar bond we have to pay, a bond for the water tank and sewers, and no telling how much in legal
  14. I find it quite ironic that the ones that hollered the loudest about low voter turn out for Tony, Todd, and Vernon are now claiming victory. Let's see if he lives up to his campaign promises. Congratulations Dave Carmichael, you're front and center. Let's do this.
  15. Daaaaaaaaaaayum Y'all. All is well and good as long as you do as you're told. You can't have a mind of your own. You see I was told I could not support Roger and I couldn't vote for him...........And see Leanne was not MY friend because she was someone else's friend. Yea, who is trying to control what? Whitey even went against against a good friend when he campaigned for David Austin the second time. Unless he has complete control everyone else is wrong, he's GOT to be right. One thing I did learn living in Chicago for 18 years, you don't have to be bullied. You stand up to them.
  16. I owe you nothing, absolutely nothing. Your friend was more important than mine. You made your choice and now you get to live with it. You disappointed a lot of people. I hate politics and I hope you are happy with your decisions. I will not betray the trust of my friends, posting something that was supposed to be in confidence.
  17. No I did not use that word, I said "preyed on" not Predator. Read it again. Praying for you Mojo, you have hurt many deeply. Your information is your own, your interpretation is your own. I have friends too, you and Whitey were relentless. Should I post some of what you said? No I won't post any of it, because I made a pledge, to my friends.
  18. NO!! The bill was not reduced to $50.00. It cost another $50.00 on top of the $400.00 to get the dang car out of there to stop the charges. Only $50.00, for the tow, not the $400.00 that the other company charged me. That was my daughter, my baby girl, she was in a car wreck, with my grandson in the car. I had no idea it was going to cost her $400.00, they picked up a bumper off the side of the road and pulled the car up on the wrecker. Just go back to those posts in 2009, you'll see. I cannot believe the hate that is in your hearts, I am disappointed and disgusted. I misjudged both
  19. You are a freaking liar.............may God have mercy on your soul. I never sought an endorsement..........I had a conversation with a friend, a friendship you tried to destroy with your lies and bullchit! Whitey, you are a sad, sad person. I said the same thing secretly that I said here, his company took advantage of a single mom, YOU read more into it. Is it because YOU have a sick mind. I NEVER said my relationship was with Robbie, only Leanne. I have said I didn't KNOW Robbie. And yea, I had a melt down, because this election cycle and the ugliness that went with it reminde
  20. $400.00 for a tow for a single mom with one income hurts, yea her car, her only mode of transportation was totaled. Seems like I wasn't the only one that complained. Especially since we could have used our own for under $100.00. Yes, I complained. Cost her $50.00 to have it towed out of there. Quite a difference.
  21. I'm glad Leanne and I had a chance to discuss the election and all that transpired before the accident. We talked several times on the phone and had lunch together. Yes, Leanne was my friend, for over 20 years. I miss her. Even if some tried to destroy that friendship with lies and innuendos. Funny thing is what I was upset with about Robbie didn't even happen when he was here, he was working in another state. It's amazing what you can work through when you talk to the people involved instead of spreading gossip and what you "think" is reality. This isn't about me, this is about doing
  22. Leanne was my friend for over 20 years, her kids and mine played together. I didn't know Robbie well, but I know if Leanne loved him that was good enough for me. The hate and denigration runs deep in this county. Coercion means someone was forced to do something, with some veiled threat. I leave you with this, take it or leave it. My prayers are with the Dobson family, period. I'm tired of this ugliness, the gossip and the lies. RIP Leanne, you are missed by many.
  23. Those are some pretty serious charges, especially when you likened them to rape.
  24. So are you saying Pubby, the county didn't take the accusations seriously and investigate them? Really? Because Roger didn't get re-elected or re-appointed it was a moot point? Of course I brought it up, it's all unsubstantiated. I grow weary of insinuations and innuendos. You will find, I don't dance around something, you want to know the truth, just ask at least three of those ladies that are named. Of course Roger thought they were "gone" there were never any formal charges. No disciplinary action, nothing. He didn't want those ladies and Chief Earwood to have to deal with
  25. If these accusations were made by more than one person, why was there no disciplinary action taken. And why were these files still around. I did an open records request from the state for 2009, their response........ "The Department received your open-records request in the Office of Legal Services on July 1, 2016. After reviewing and researching your request we have determined that we have no records responsive to your request. The 2009 personnel files have been removed, subject to the expiration of their retention schedule." I'm sure Chief Earwood appreciates all this from an incident t
