Wellstar or DeathStar ? Anyone else have some experiences to share?
tundra replied to surepip's topic in RECENT TOPICS
All my doctors are in Rome, all of them. Never use Wellstar, ever. -
Just since January 2015. Have you asked them?

Dave Carmichael has spent the last 4 years working on getting the airport commercialized with passenger planes. 737s A319/320 up to 150 passenger seats per flight. He didn't mention this when he was running in 2012 and yes the process had already started before the primary on July 28, 2012. It had been in the works for at least 6 weeks, Carmichael was a sitting member of the Airport Authority. He voted yes on the contract to bring in passenger airliners. Carmichael vacated his seat 18 months before he had finished his first term. In that 2 1/2 years he was a post commissioner, his mai

Whitey, after viewing the video of the airport tour PCU did, it was obvious where she stood. Roger did two interviews with her, that's enough. He's out door knocking, talking to and helping people. He is getting his message out, just using a different format. His response has been incredible. He has a web page and a FB page, he's easy to reach if someone has a question. While he was out canvassing on Saturday, he and his team happened on a voter that had just had major surgery. The person could not leave their home without aid if there was an emergency. Yesterday, a ramp was built

You better recheck that, "rules and regulations" thing. Just sayin'. Stormy is firmly in Carmichael's corner. Roger is open to all citizens and business owners, no problem there, just ask him. BTW, I saw the video at the "tour" of the airport. So many misrepresentations and plain false information. I voted for David Austin once, well I really voted against Jerry Shearin, then I realized what I had done and supported Tony Crowe, hands down. I'm proud to say I am voting for Roger Leggett. Now, I'm going to sleep, have a great evening. BTW, we're setting up an interview with a real jou

As long as you don't make much money, insurance is affordable. If you don't make any money it's free. It's the middle class that's suffering, all planned. Two classes, poor and rich. Again, I offer Venezuela.

Paulding Uncensored is far from "Uncensored". Kinda weird that she has blocked most of the anti-commercial folks, isn't it. Be careful Whitey, you're falling back into the Austin support circle. Yea, you need to see who she really is. Like she gave "free" spaces to Ron Davis' competition and Dave Carmichael at the Spring Fling. Sometimes knowing all the facts is a burden, I understand. Roger is doing his own videos, he doesn't need her to ask the same questions. And there you have it. Disregard the guy that supported Austin in both his elections. It's not a big deal, Roger

Who do you support for Chairman in the runoff

KV, doesn't it bother you that you are on the same team as the Austin supporters? "Junk" even liked your post. Just sayin'. -
All part of a grander plan. Rich and poor, that's all that will exist. They are slowly and methodically destroying the middle class, Venezuela comes to mind.

Well, you are entitled to your opinion, I have known Roger Leggett for 30 years. He has returned more to this community in volunteer service than he ever took from it. I'm surprised you are so critical. Do you know Roger personally? I do, he has served our public safety well for many, many years. Why wouldn't someone grab "this"? This is a very good thing. I just spent the weekend with my 5 year old great niece at CHOA, those wagons are a God send to those families and sick children. Roger buys the wagons, buys the materials to make the bracket, assembles them and hand delivers -

No it's not the only issue, but it's a big one. Dave Carmichael voted for secret deals that he not only hid from the citizens but from the Post 2 commissioner. He was flying folks around in a state owned plane to "see" other airports like he wanted ours to be. The focus has been on the airport so much, roads are crumbling, our business parks are sitting empty without soil tests or spec buildings. There have been NO water lines run since the building crash, people's wells are drying up and instead of taking care of infrastructure, they've been plopping all the money at the airport. New -

The point of this post was to say, if someone wants to say they voted for the reservoir in that special election in 1999, that's not true. They voted to spend 3 million to by the land. However if you ask them, they voted for the reservoir. Same with the airport, the language on the ballot was to buy land for an airport, it was defeated, but if you ask those voters, they voted against the airport. That's all. I was just trying to point out, the questions on the ballot were the same, just different amounts and different projects. -

Congrats!! I know you are proud and excited!!!!! -
You do realize there are multiple cases brought against the BOC for reasons other than the airport, right? Surely you do? The airport is not the only problem in Paulding County. What happened to the Surepip's is inexcusable. It had nothing to do with the airport.

By your reasoning, they didn't vote for the reservoir..........Can't play both ends. Of course people voted against the airport, just ask them. -

How many times do you have to be reminded, Roger left in 2002...........he wouldn't play with them, they ditched him for someone that would. The voters voted against the airport, that's all he needed to know. Roger had NOTHING to do with that airport, instead of letting the GOBs shove it down our throats, he brought it to the voters, for them to decide. -

I understand your hesitation, I will tell you Roger is not like the groups of the past. I hadn't seen Roger in about 15 years. When I was door knocking for Vernon Collett, we made a point to stop at any house that had a "No Commercial Airport" sign in their yard. I didn't even know it was Roger's house, I'd never been to his house before. I know Roger has a GREAT relationship with all the sitting commissioners and will work very well with them, they will be a Team, working together for the betterment of the community, not serving self interests. This is the Roger Leggett I know. http://w -
Na, not exactly true Todd Pownall was a sitting commissioner and voted against the power grab of a lame duck commission. That was pretty crappy, but now Barnett, Graham and Carmichael are no longer on the BOC, let's keep it that way. Austin will be gone at the end of the year! And yes, Carmichael voted for the IGA, he voted for the amendment to keep the taxpayers on the hook, Tommy Graham voted with Pownall against the IGA but voted for the amendment. The vote was 3-2 for the IGA. It's in the minutes from August 2014 ::curtsies::
-
You continue to post stuff that's just not true. Todd Pownall DID NOT vote for the IGA between the BOC and the PCAA. It was not a unanimous vote!! It was a vote to circumvent the elections of Commissioners Crowe and Collett. Dirty pool, a last ditch effort to try to save the abomination of commercialization. The vote by the lame duck commissioners is an example of what Dave Carmichael Supports.

Are you sure there are no "complaints" in his file? Seriously, you really need to get your facts in order. Dirty campaigns are just that, dirty campaigns. You will not see a dirty campaign from Roger's team.

Roger left in 2002. That video is from 2004.

Roger left office in 2002. Blake wasn't officially hired as airport director until 2006. Airports do fall under "transportation". Roger was primaried because he wouldn't "conform", he wasn't a good ole boy with interest in lining his pockets. Have you ever been to his home? It's a modest home probably built in the 60s, on a side road in South Paulding. I happened upon his house when I was out door knocking for Vernon because he had a "No Commercial Airport" sign in his yard. We stopped and chatted with every one of those that had those signs in their yards.

Thank you. It was a while ago, but something happened that triggered the memories of their tragic deaths. Something I will never get over.
