  1. Would it have something to do with the last tree falling over and causing a lot of damage?
  2. You are correct. He promised ObamaCare would reduce the average family's rates by $2,500 a year, people could keep their current coverage, and people could keep their current doctor. All of these "promises" turned out to be lies that those and several here continue to support ObamaCare and Obama. Why? They know ObamaCare was nothing more than a program to intentionally fail so a push could be made for a single-payer system to fix ObamaCare. Most likely, they find nothing wrong with the lies because "the end justifies the means."
  3. I agree. Some people just refuse to see ObamaCare is bad law period.
  4. Another merger between schools occurred in Augusta with Augusta State and the Medical College of Georgia. The new name is Georgia Regents University Augusta. The Medical College of Georgia has a fantastic reputation around the country for its medical school and nursing programs. Will the merger hurt the reputation MCG had? That remains to be seen.
  5. He's still trying to justify his support for Obama and a single-payer system.
  6. I was listening to Hannity's radio program the other day and he was playing audio tapes recorded during Obama's initial campaign for the presidency where Obama was saying he wanted the country to have a single payer program and it would take 10-15 years to get there. This current plan was designed to be bad and fail miserably for the purpose of pushing for a single payer program to fix it.
  7. Television writers must be running out of ideas for new shows. Next thing you know, we will be seeing them redo F-Troop, Mr. Ed, Gilligan's Island, and My Mother the Car.
  8. What's the difference between deductibles and out of pocket expenses now in health insurance?
  9. ObamaCare does not do that. There are many people who are losing their health insurance because it does not meet the minimum standards of coverage ObamaCare now dictates.
  10. Those on the Left here seem to think Georgia should just raise taxes to pay for the additional $2B it would have cost us to expand Medicaid.
  11. Are you saying it's not true that I don't find the shutdown as an embarrassment or I find this administration an embarrassment? I think she's calling me a liar again.
  12. I don't see the shutdown as an embarrassment to our country. I do see this administration as one though and so do many in other countries.
  13. I know a lot of people who have private insurance and many others who have no insurance. Not one of them favor ObamaCare.
  14. First of all you did say I was lying. Here's what you said: You have said on several occasions the state was obstructing ObamaCare because they hated Obama. You also said the state has a history of hating Obama. You have yet to prove that. What the state doesn't like is ObamaCare. That doesn't mean the state hates Obama as you claim. If you made a cake and your husband didn't like it, does that mean he doesn't like you? There's a lot wrong with ObamaCare such as the information it is collecting on people and the accessibility others could have to it. Much of the information Oba
  15. You're saying I'm lying that it would have cost the state almost $2B it would have had to spend on Medicaid if it had established a health exchange? I suggest you research that a little bit there girlie. ObamaCare is BAD law. It's raising the price of health care premiums all over the country for those who currently have it. Is that an effect caused by the state of Georgia? Once again, where in any link you have provided say the state is doing it because it "hates" Obama?
  16. You've got to be kidding me, right? You're using a far left oped to support your claim the state is obstructing ObamaCare because they hate him. Good grief woman, get a grip on reality. The fact is if the state had established an exchange, it would have had to participate in expanding Medicaid at the cost of almost $2B we don't have. It's bad law period. Now where in your linked oped did it say the state "hated" Obama?
  17. First you claim the state didn't even try to figure out a way. Now that I have pointed out it would have cost the state almost $2B it doesn't have, you want to claim the reason the state refused to participate was because the state has a history of hating Obama. What history and why do you think the state hates him?
  18. The current costs to the state for Medicaid as it stands is $598M through 2022. Had the state opted to start an exchange and expand Medicaid, the cost to the state would have been $2.5B through 2022. It doesn't take being a rocket scientist to figure out the state would have had to raise taxes to cover the increased costs in order to balance the budget. Where else would the state get the almost $2B it would have cost us?
  19. That's how I understand it.
  20. It's not that the state didn't want any better for its citizens; it was because the state couldn't afford the increases ObamaCare would impose on it for Medicaid. The state has a constitutional responsibility to have a balanced budget each year. Would you have preferred a significant state tax increase each and every year to pay for the state's increase in Medicaid if the state had opted to the deal the feds were wanting?
  21. Actually, the exchange Georgia residents have to enroll on is the federal exchange. The choices they will have will be those the feds provide. You might find this interesting as it shows premium increases under ObamaCare.
