  1. Redbox is usually in the entrances of Walmart, Kroger, etc. They have a pretty good selection of new and newer movies and it's only $1 a day.The reason it doesnt work for me is b/c I typically rent a movie one night, watch it the next night and take it back the next day(3 days). That would be $3 from Redbox and I can rent them for that or even a little less. There is a place here in Valdosta that sells newly released movies and older ones for $4-$10. Movies that I love and want to own are usually only $4. I have tripled my dvd collection living here b/c it's about the same price as renting.
  2. Would any parent whose child was taken from them and no one knew where they were or who they were with EVER tell the police, "I'm just tired. I need to go home and get some rest."? I dont think so. Remember Susan Smith who drowned her two boys years ago? The police said the first solid tip that she knew more than she was telling was when she was being interviewed on the Today show with her then husband(who had no idea what she had done at the time). In the interview she said, "The police have been so great. I really believe they are doing everything they can do to find our boys". The police
  3. :D I totally agree. I betcha Mr Jobs was anti-DMB though.................................... .
  4. I have changed doctors b/c he was NOT thorough. It seemed ridiculous. He was a younger dr, maybe mid 30's, and could not have had better bedside manner. However, my ex-husband was very very sick for weeks while this dr. would only run more tests every other day or so and write rx's for antibiotics. He was literally shooting in the dark. Because he was just so dang nice, it took a while for me to really work up enough nerve to just face the reality that he was a bad doctor. I always had the suspicion that he almost just didnt want to deliver bad news. I didnt get the feeling he was scamming u
  5. Yall are nuts... . You all can keep that frozen mess when it DOES happen. I am way down south now and although I miss a lot of things about Paulding, Cobb and Fulton, I will NOT miss trying to deal with snow, freezing rain, ice. Yuck.
  6. Done and will add her to my list.
  7. My eyes are bleeding. Good to see ya, DCRed .
  8. Thats great, Subby! You swooped in and saved the day...well, the mower AND the day! I really want you to have your own shop. I know you do good work and are very honest and dependable. People like you deserve to do well.
  9. Sweet fancy Moses. I had just gotten over the constant yammering, blathering and whining over this issue last year. I have an idea. How 'bout lets do it on...ummmmmm...oh, I dont know...on Halloween? As long as we are talking about this...will there be Trick or Treating in the Tunnels?
  10. AH! I forgot to mention that I do use Hulu.com very often. I dont have a paid membership but Im able to access tons of free tv shows and documentaries.
  11. Does it feel like Fall yet up there in PC? It is still in the low 90's down here in Valdosta. There have been a few moments in the morning and a couple evenings that were Fall-ish but nowhere near the October I always love. I'm taking my one eyed Boxer, Agnes to my church the be blessed and then the rest of the weekend painting my house. LOTS of painting. Tha Fall Festival in Dallas makes me homesick. I hope the weather is perfect, everyone turns out and has fun and the vendors do well.
  12. Good lord . You deserve a spa day or something . Or maybe just sit in a dark corner with a big bottle of wine curled up in the fetal position.
  13. Yep...I thought that was a great quote. Can you imagine the two of them and Wozniack dropping acid together?
  14. Im right there with ya, Subby.I cancelled my NetFlix account the week after the price hike. Not so much b/c of the $ amount(although it seemed steep), but b/c of NetFlix's public response to customers complaing about the increase. They said they knew what they were doing and they werent sorry nor were going to go back to the lower price. They did send out a letter last week that actually started with, "We messed up" which impressed me somewhat. How often does anyone take responsiblity these days and just say, "hey look, I really screwed up and Im sorry"? But, I had already thought about it a
  15. YUM! Wow....sounds so good. I took the easy way out tonight and went with spaghetti. It was good but ya know, it's spaghetti... .
  16. Too true. Yeah, I have a lot of baby boomer aged friends who like to recall their "trippin' days". Especially being in the salon/spa biz for 20 yrs now with these people, I have heard stories that should be movies where acid was the main ingredient.
  17. These uber-wealthy, super private, geeky sorts usually have some very curious views on things. This is not meant to be negative at all. I admire him for being himself. He didnt even have a college degree and was far from being born with a silver spoon in his mouth. And, for goodness sake, he created Atari's Breakout ! I thought this article was very interesting: "In a few interviews, Jobs hinted at his early experience with the psychedelic drug LSD. Of Microsoft founder Bill Gates, Jobs said: "I wish him the best, I really do. I just think he and Microsoft are a bit narrow. He'd
  18. Yeah, it would be bad to be that couped up with somebody you really dont like so much... . I think theyre great. There is one in Marietta. Started out as a house but through the years became other things since it ended up in a mostly commercial area.. I think it's a church now.
  19. Im sorry you are so down right now, but let me tell you from experience, the darkest days in your life can turn out to be the very ones that you're thankful for later. Happened to me too. Divorced(and a VERY long ugly one)after 16 years, my Mother who was my best friend was diagnosed with brain cancer and died 6 months later, job chnages I didnt love, had to move, my teenage son was very hurt and angry about the divorce. I'm tellin you, I didnt think a human being could get as low as I felt. I literally dreamed and longed for a "normal" day again where I could work, come home to family, cook
  20. Awwwwww, little Tinkerbell did good . That is so sweet that you can keep so many of them in the family. They are adorable.
  21. You are so right... . ROFL! Pubby, that caught me off guard and is so funny. Cold, hard cash to see it happen .
  22. I did miss the pics and thank you for sharing! They were soooo tiny! Out of all the dogs I've ever owned, I have never had one give birth. It must be such a thrilling experience. How is Mamma? Is this her first litter?
  23. Who knows. But, then again, the "Rev." Jesse Jackson is everywhere shaking down all sorts of groups and corporations and he has never had a real job.
