mine was a hula hoop. i spent hours doing that and my big bike when i finally got one. i got my bike for my birthday one year. i probably only got a new one because my little brother was big enough to ride my small one then. i still have my old big bike, but i can not hula hoop to save my soul. i wish i could. i might get skinny again like i once was. my husband's favorite thing was to ride his bike. and until he got big enough he would just push it because it was a hand me down and was too big for him.

really.............does anybody think about how hot it is to start in august. it is hot in the state of georgia in the month of august people. some of us who work this job with your children do not want to be in school in august. your kids are miserable on the playground in that heat. do you not think that maybe they should have a period of down time each summer in childhood? i went to school after labor day and finished the year in late may. i cannot see that the new schedule makes these kids any smarter than the kids of my school years. what happened to childhood? you children will never a

i didn't have a problem with the survey. i thought it was easy to do. but i cannot afford the price of the tag, not the first fee or the additional fees. loved all the choices though.

for many many seasons it was csi/ vegas.............but to many good characters left. now i guess it chopped and say yes to the dress. no regular tv programs

dr. mary pitcher is the best. i have used her for years. she sees my daughter and she delivered both granddaughters. she is soft spoken very easy to talk to. totally love her. sorry forgot to add that she is very close to kennestone.

i live in new hope too. i have been here since i was 2 years old. which means next month i will have been here 59 years. congrats on the new grandbaby. we went to high school together mr. johnny jacobs.

hello jaydee, i am glad to see your voice on here. i think david has done an excellent job. people should call him and ask him their concerns as jaydee suggests. not just hear half truths on here. in order to keep taxes the same something has to give. either less hours in services or more tax money from us. i am sure it must be hard on the workers having less hours but it is better than no job. and i am happy not having to pay more taxes. i would think that complaining about the airport now is of no good. kinda like shutting the barn door after the horse is out. we have an airport now, so move

hello jaydee, i am glad to see your voice on this subject. someone who can set things straight. instead of reading half truths from other people on here. why not get the answers you are looking for from david, as jaydee suggests. i think david has done a very good job for this county. times are hard for lots of people and having county offices close more than usual saves taxpayers money. OR we could have our taxes increased again just to have these offices open and not inconvience us. just my opinion in new hope.

i posted this subject last night, but i don't know where it went. i think there will be both yardsale stuff and some crafts. i will have both. i make bracelets with some very unusal beads. so come and take a look.

our daughter got married at the cedar plantation in acworth. the place is beautiful inside and out . they married in the gazebo outside and the rest of the wedding was inside.huge dance floor beautiful grounds plenty of parking. everything was perfect. i am sure her wedding will be too.

there are PLENTY of c130's still flying. they do a tremendous job. they may not be as big as the c5 they may be old hat but they are great at what they do. i live at new hope and they fly over my house all the time. i see them in the news, when they are used as a smaller military time plane. they are the workhorse of all planes. my daddy worked on them for over 25 years. i have great pride when i see them.

My Daddy was a volunteer with New Hope fire department at the time of the crash. We were there within minutes of the accident.It was a terrible scene made even worse when we realized how many people lost their lives. My Daddy and my Brother both worked the accident. My Daddy never liked to talk about the accident victims. It was very lucky that the school buses were already gone that afternoon or it might have been even worse.

Ronnie and Greg, I am so sorry to learn of your Mother's passing. She was always such a kind and sweet person. I have lots of fond memories of her and your Dad from church all those years ago.
