Dana, You have one of the sweetest spirits of anyone I know, you really do.
-
It does me as well...I was really saddened and sickened by this when my husband showed it to me today. We both were.
-
Thanks, Lady . We aren't associated with that particular business anymore, so I am super excited about this new store. Glad to support another local, independent business .

I'm happy you are finally in the place that has been tugging your heartstrings for so long . You have a book store across the street from you and you have not visited it yet? For shame woman, get on the ball!

Unless they were special needs I do think that is a bit too old. I'd say under 10, I would be alright with. I cannot remember now how old my son was before I felt safe for him to go alone, it's been such a long time ago. My grandson has some special needs that aren't readily apparent physically, so I can see that may be a consideration (hes not quite 6 yet).

Oh no, it's not us . I'm just very excited for the couple opening it, they seem like really nice folks. Thank you anyway for the sentiment (((hugs))). I'm working 'over' full time here at home making art and Britaini is very happily full time nanny to an awesome baby boy. Everything works out for a reason. I'm just really excited for these new people! This is an article on the owners: Hiram Books

I'm SO EXCITED about this new place, and I'm really glad you started this thread. I wanted to, but refrained for obvious reasons. I am really looking forward to their opening so I can show them some support. I've been pimping the crap out of them on FB . :yahoo:

I tried to plus1 you, but apparently I am still out SO... CONGRATULATIONS, and good luck!
-
Dangit. I used up all of my +1's on this thread.

I got to spend the majority of the day today with my two favorite men in the world . My 24 year old son, Mitchell and my awesome husband, Ray. That made me feel pretty good. I don't often get to spend time with both of them together, and my son gave me tons of hugs so that was SUPER awesome . I love my boy and I don't get to see him often enough, so I'm still smiling .

Yes, any retailer will tell you during orientation that almost half of all theft is employee related. The new packaging is thanks to theft, period. I worked for Best Buy off and in for years and saw the packaging become progressively more difficult to maneuver. I've needed everything short of stitches due to injuries trying to get through the sharp plastic packaging certain items I've purchased have been encased in. Even so, many evenings at close when we were required to do the walk throughs/straighten up you would come across several empty packages where some asshole had decided they

Ohmygawd...why did I come back to this thread? That is NOT the song I want stuck in my head at 12:06am. I owe you one.

Can You Care Too Much And Create Unneeded Stress?

(((Hugs))) I disagree. Toxic people are toxic people. and blood DOES NOT make family. I speak from experience. -
We are so far past 'regular rain' at this point it is crazy and 'milder' temperatures for me are in the 50 degree range, lol. I detest summer .
-
Yes. I hate it. I hate rain anytime, period. It affects my mood something terrible, so I've been staying in my studio, listening to my audiobook while I sculpt and purposely staying away from windows. Unless I hear thunder I can almost pretend its not raining. Edited to say, my husband took a nap and woke up a little snippy...or I perceived it as snippy because I feel ick about the rain. I started to cry. He immediately apologized, even though he really had not done anything. I just couldn't explain why I felt blue. He went to the store to get batteries and came home w

How do you feel your child should be punished?

Yeah, the Bible also says rebellious sons were to be stoned to death~so I would not be taking any parenting advice from that thar tome . Re: Deuteronomy 21:18-21:23. I think you are a fantastic parent. Bottom line YOU know what is best for YOUR child, for your family. You have fine children, obviously what you do works for you, and for them <3. -

I think Britaini may have only ever had 3 (only 2 I remember distinctly) spankings in her entire life. If she even felt you were slightly displeased she broke into tears. My husband fussed at her once, when she was 11. Her reaction scarred him so badly that today at 26 (she is still her at home right now) if anything needs to be mentioned to her he in a way thinks may cause upset he will say "Rhonda, could you please ask Britaini so-and-so". lol Mitchell was another story entirely. He is me. Stubborn, obstinate, rebellious and seriously hard headed (yet completely awesome ). Time -
Awww, why thank you! I think the same of you .

Thank you for posting the link, Beach Bum. As I've stated several times, I do not and never have liked Paula Deen. I would not be surprised if the allegations against her are true. I just wouldn't, and I'm being honest in saying that. That being said...I'll be the first one to add that if she did not do the things she is accused of, I sincerely (and I mean that) hope that she receives ALL of her endorsements, merchandising, etc. back, and then some. I SO hope this goes to trial. If I were Paula Deen I would not seek or even entertain an out of court settlement. She should fight the

I love my family and my Chi's (my fur baby family). I love my friends. I love being a Mema and look forward to being one again and again . I love to paint and sculpt and make art and make messes that I call art. I love to read. I love red wine and I love hot tea. I love all things scary and all things autumn and all things Halloween. I love watching foreign movies and punk rock and Vivaldi and anything Yo Yo Ma plays on his magical cello. I love getting tattooed (I'm masochistic like that). I love red hair. These are a random few of my very favorite things .

I love these photos!

No.No.No.No. Not reading. I hate people.
