I like Kubuntu best, freespire would be great if they just took care of a few last compatibility issues. Mint is nice as is Open Suse, but Ubuntu is just the most user friendly OS ive ever encountered with more freeware for it than you can shake a stick at. Ubuntu made a linux user out of me (though I do keep a HD on for windows XP so I can play my windows games) but Ubuntu has plenty of Kick*** games too. Nexuiz, Sauerbraten, Warsow, Alien Arena just to name a few plus I like openoffice better than Microsoft office. Plus its pretty difficult (though not entirely impossible) to get a virus ont

beleive it or not you can test drive linux without actually installing it. just google "Ubuntu" and they will show you how, its very very very very easy and nothing permanent is done to your machine. Here, let me give you a screen shot of my Ubuntu Linux Operating System.

get the dear boy his own computer to mess up. And if you really want to fullproof it switch to either Ubuntu 10, or LinuxMint. Im using Ubuntu 10 right now and I can do anything that I can on my windows partition.

the last time i saw something like this happen it took about a week before the entire OS was useless. I suspect its a problem with the regestry and a regestry scanner should be able to fix it. Glary utilities has one and its free. Advanced System Care Pro could do even better, but its not free.

whats he shooting? Remington .22 would be appropriate for a kid Ide imagine...but I doubt youde bring down a buck with it. 20 guage shotgun then? -
I would suggest the following: download Glary utilities (glaryulities.com) its free, use it and run a scan and repair. if it doesnt find and fix the problem then try a different antivirus and run a scan (i reccomend Avast antivirus as its free and very effective) IF that doesnt work then you should be able to bring up the SYSTEM subfolder and run system restore. if that doesnt work....switch to Ubuntu Linux.

Well, I just got my power bill in the mail and...
CaptainObvious replied to Caped Crusader's topic in RECENT TOPICS
They have these new central HVAC units that use ambient outside heat and temperature differences to cool or heat the home before electricity or gas is used. Me and the Ex had one put in our home and it helped out quite a bit with the electric bill. Obviousley not a problem for me anymore but still, neat little contraption. -
