this sort of behavior does run in families and anyone who has signs of depression should be made to at least see a counselor for one session at least. Its a tragic thing that hurts everyone around them,but sometimes its hard to believe things will get better. I strongly encourage anyone who has someone exhibiting signs of depression to please at least talk to them about getting someone to talk to, or say nothing to and stare at silently across a desk for half an hour. Even that would be helpful.

As far as there consequences...throwing feces and spitting on someone results in a legal charge called "Simple Assault" and they will deal with those ramifications. No need to go off on them.
