Melissa Morrison for State House District 19
Wineguy replied to Melissa Morrison District 19's topic in Paulding County NEWS
You are disagreeing that it is a good thing that we have forums for candidates? I am glad that the candidates are running solely for you and not the rest of the citizens that either do not know how to reach the candidates or do not have time, due to busy family schedules, to attend the small and hidden debates that happen. Even with these forums I would guess that 97% of the constituents will not even have seen the names of the majority of the people on the ballots. I do not like to argue on these posts, I prefer to give quality input, but sometimes these posts are very narrow minded. -

She was correct. If you think i am wrong that there is a Mass Transit inside of Paulding County please go stand behind the Buffalos Southwestern Cafe and tell me that we people just randomly sit at those benches for nothing. She never said Paulding county runs a mass transit, she said that we have Mass Transit, which we DO. -

The question quoted she was replying to was asking her why she was running and what her goals were. That is what she answered. I do acknowledge that the other question was asked and not addressed in this post. But it was posted in the middle of when she was replying to posts so her answer may come in time I would guess as she may not have seen it in the middle of her other posts. I am just thankful to have a forum such as this to see the views of candidates running for once. Not all of us are able to attend the VERY FEW debates that may or may not happen. This keeps the votes from goi -
This is a very jaded attempt on Verizons part to answer the cry for Data Sharing. They have forced anyone wanting to share data to also take on the unlimited Voice and Text plan. I have three phones on my plan and we consume on average 100 minutes COMBINED and send/receive about 400 Text Messages, however we consume about 5-7GB of data. These plans would actually make us spend more money. Verizon is trying to protect the revenue they currently bring in from voice and text since most people are moving away from them. I used to send about 5000 texts a month until Apple introduced Messages i

I agree with both of you. While there is not a true Paulding Mass Transit (and I do not want there to be), Paulding County does have access to mass transit to get us into busier parts of the metro by way of the Buses in and out of Hiram. How did she not? She said that she had many people recommend that she run and she is doing it to help bring representation to the district and help to correct the injustice she sees in the gold dome. I was able to understand the reason why she decided to join into the race. If you ever speak to her in person (or over the phone), you will understan -
Walmart in Hiram. July 28th 1999. I applied on my 16th birthday. Happy as could be to get $5.50 an hour at the time. By 2003 I was at almost $13.00 an hour.

I just checked my iPad and realized sometime this weekend AT&T turned on LTE 4G in the New Hope area. I'm not sure the area covered, but it is blazing fast. I have 30Mb Internet with xfinity and this is going much faster.

Pubby, You are absolutely right. I think the best thing we could get is someone willing to fight for the bringing integrity into the district. Melissa Morrison is the only person running I would vote for in D19.

But how does this relate in any way to what I posted. I am not leaving the compensation to the person in charge. It should be an escalating profit sharing scale. If there are no profits, there are no salary bonuses.

I do not know that it is fair to say this as a blanket statement. If a company is having a record year in sales with high margins and if the company grows an average of say 1 billion dollars, that is directly reflective of the leadership of the CEO and 50 million would be expected. However it should be directly tied to performance. If a company is down and has shown diminished returns, than nothing more than a base salary of 1 million of less would be expected.

By Tenda Wireless, are you talking about the router? If so, from everything I have read this is a very cheaply made router and that may be the source of the issue. I have found in my experience with routers that you always get what you pay for. I bought about 4 of the cheap Walmart special routers from D-Link and others before I finally bit the bullet and got one of the best on the market. Now I have ZERO problems and it lets me hook up a printer and external hard drive that works with all of my computers at once.

Please do not be offended by this question, but exactly what are you expecting to accomplish by mentioning the corruptness of government and lobbyists and such here on Paulding.com. Most of us agree with the fact that the system is flawed and lobbyists cause many problems. But there really isnt anyone on P.com that you are going to reach that is going to change this.

That is AWESOME!!!

So what is your excuse for the American Car Industry? What is the reason that Kroger employees are so much more entitled than Publix?

I just think most of the people on this site are out of touch with reality and have preconceived opinions on the younger generation. I started working at 16 years old at Walmart in Hiram, I worked my way up in that job, paid my way through college, and left Walmart after doubling my wages to close to 14 dollars an hour in 5.5 years. I used my connections from Walmart to get a job in the wine industry while still in college while living at home and saving a little but also spending my money on $500 phones and $75 dollar a month plans. While still in college I was able to afford my own apartm

Senate 31 candidate Carruth residency challenged
Wineguy replied to GreenEyedGirl's topic in Paulding County NEWS
Wow, I just looked at Heathe's contributors and I am appalled to see the Georgia Food Industry Association supported him. He was one of the biggest oppositions to the Sunday Sales Bill that the GFIA was supporting. I will be talking to them about this. I will be interested to see who contributes to some of the newcomers to the race for the House and Senate. I just know Carruth and Heathe are both on my "Hell No" list. -
Help With Buffering When Playing Videos Online
Wineguy replied to ButterflyLion's topic in RECENT TOPICS
If you do have the fastest service from DSL, which is still pretty slow in terms of playing video, I would definitely suggest making sure the quality is as low as it goes. Always make sure you are below 480p. The higher the quality the larger the file, and the slower it will load. Internet congestion doesnt really have the most to do with it on DSL. How far you are from the "Node" or AT&T box, is the main factor for DSL speed. I agree with Pubby that downloading the video is many times a way to avoid buffering, but Youtube generally makes it very hard to download the videos for co -
Twelve minutes with District 19 Candidate Michael James
Wineguy replied to gpatt0n's topic in Fastread page
I think this is great. This may be the only exposure people in the community get to hear the candidates. I am pretty sure I know who I am voting for in both the Senate and House race, but I still would like to hear what they all have to say. -

In light of all of this, I believe Mr. Rogers is the only logical choice. -

I can't stand a single word that comes out of Heaths mouth, and Carriuth sounded like the most unintelligent candidate possible. Rogers has my support 100%. I loved his views on not imposing his views on the people and letting us choose on matters. -
I don't feel so bad now, mine only went down $1,000 dollars since last year. Granted it is down $60,000 since 2004, which is 40% of the entire price paid. But it is what it is, I plan on moving in a year and I will rent it out for the rest of my life.

I agree. My company has found that hiring people with a degree from a good school doesn't mean anywhere near as much as having quality experience. I was hired well before I had a degree on the basis that I had been working my way up in the industry for years while in college and I had a golden resume with school counting as training. We have many new hires from college that do not have a clue what it means to really work for a living.

One of my professors at Kennesaw State was the author of one of the books we needed. He made sure to tell us immediately not to buy the book. He said he was ashamed of how much the publishers charged students. He said the Europeans were more fair and to buy the book and import it for a tenth the price. I think if we can go to a digital format where publishers can get revenue year after year the prices would go down. The problem is that right now they only get revenue the first year and then nothing for 5-6 because of of used sales. This is the same reason video games are now 60 dollars.

You can use student loan money for anything you want. I took out 6-8k a year in college of which half went to tuition. The school cut me a check for the balance of which i used to pay for things like a laptop and to supplement my income. I worked 40-60 hours a week while in college and I will be honest, I couldn't afford to repay them right out of school. But after a few years in default i am now in a position to pay them off. But unlike some people I am getting out from them as quick as possible. I am borrowing the money from 401k to pay off the defaulted loans and get my credit rate up
