  1. I agree most of what you need you can get from ESPN3.com, but last I checked, I had to log in with my comcast or direct account to prove I had ESPN before I could access ESPN content. I do have other reasons to keep Direct though. I am able to watch hundreds of programs live on my ipad through the app, and I can use it as another TV on my Eliptical using the Directv app as well. I hope soon there will be an easy all in one solution to watch what I want when I want without paying for what I do not, but until then, I will keep paying the bills, lol.
  2. I would love to get rid of Dish/Cable, but the problem is there is too much of a Paywall in place to get the programming I want without it. I do not want a GIANT antenna on my house to get OTA HD, and to get many of the programs I want even over the internet I have to have a subscription with my provider (HBO). I use HULU and Netflix to watch a lot, but I cannot get my live Fox sport south programming, ESPN, HBO, etc without having a subscription through cable or dish. I would be willing to pay 5-10 a month to each station if i could get OTA for network tv and spend 40 a month for the few s
  3. Here is a great article on why many great wineries are transitioning to Stelvin (screw cap) Click here for why to abandon cork
  4. Can I ask why? Some really great high dollar wines coming from Australia and New Zealand come with a screw cap, as well as many from California. There are many less ruined bottles and much better chance of getting a good bottle if it does NOT use cork.
  5. This makes me so sad. I went there back in 3rd grade. By the time I made it to 12th grade, PCHS Student President was from Mableton Elementary, Miss Hiram HIgh was from there, and numerous other quality students had made there way to PC. Lots of good came to Paulding from that school.
  6. It is the number 1 red wine in the country right now. They also have a white blend now as well that is a Chardonnay, Riesling, Moscato Blend. It is sure to please everyone. My list of my favorite wines are as follows Red: Don Miguel Gascon Malbec ($12) Louis M Martini Sonoma Cabernet ($13) Mirassou Pinot Noir ($9) Apothic Red ($10) Ghost Pines Red ($13) White: Ecco Domani Pinot Grigio ($11) Alamos Chardonnay ($10) Whitehaven Sauvignon Blanc ($17) Sparkling: LaMarca Prosecco ($12) Ballatore Spumante ($ Banfi Rosa Regale ($22) But in the affordable range
  7. I saw there was a little red car practically missing the entire front end. It was a wreck in front of the BP. There was a person laying on the ground with the paramedics.
  8. Just a teaser for all of you I know Walmart and Kroger sell the Barefoot Red Moscato now, (If your Kroger doesn't have it, tell a Manager you want it), and Barefoot has another Moscato flavor coming in about 3 months. My wife only drinks Barefoot Moscato as well and she loves the Red Moscato they sell.
  9. Im a Yes vote for all SPLOST AND TLOST. I like to see improvements to the area i live.
  10. This is the one you need to be on the lookout for. Ecco Domani Moscato. It should be in all Kroger's within the next week or two. It is already in some now and many liquor stores.
  11. Mrs. G you are correct, it is the largest. lol. As for the Sutter Home, it is not the same company as the blue bottle at Sams. That is Bevaiamo and it is a moscato D'Asti, which means it is slightly effervescent. There are some new pink, white and red moscatos that are out now that are similar in taste but cheaper than the blue bottle. Try Barefoot Bubbly Moscato, Barefoot Bubbly Pink Moscato, Ecco Domani Moscato (also italian and slightly effervescent). Turning Leaf has a new wine coming this month called Turning Leaf Refresh. It will be a Moscato and Red Moscato that is a spritzer and
  12. This is actually a case of the government causing a monopoly. The Agent model that they are using is the only way to keep Amazon from becoming an E-Book monopoly. No bookstore can compete with Amazon who would sell all books at a loss just to gain market share and sell e-readers. This puts all other merchants out of business. The government is picking the wrong fight at this.
  13. Yep, I asked the people at Wendy's and they confirmed it is a Waffle House.
  14. That was what i was thinking too, I think the ground broke about two weeks ago.
  15. And within a day or two Apple fixed the issue and it is no longer viable, no 3rd party virus program needed.
  16. Good thing there is no fear of that. Mac's are trending faster than PC's, but the adoption of Mobile over PC's and Macs will ensure Mac's are never a profitable venture. Plus they have made plenty of threats to Mac already. Apple does a great job of plugging the hole usually within 24-72 hours and releases a security update without the need to use a 3rd party security service. Mobile will be an issue, but that is where the security of a walled garden app ecosystem works wonders. Mobile sites so far have been the main source for threats using mobile browser weaknesses. I am a huge pr
  17. Seriously, the more I read these posts and many opinions in the news, I feel we have regressed 100 years.
  18. Wow, this all sounds like a lot of work.
  19. I used to eat at that Johnny's a lot when they did Teamtrivia.com trivia on Mondays, but I refuse to go since they stopped using Scott. My wife always liked the pizza, but had to use a napkin to soak up all of the grease. I never really cared for it though. And I cannot eat pizza as I am lactose intolerant. They had good wings for a while but then they stopped selling them.
  20. Those pizza's in School were AWESOME!!!!!!
  21. Ok, So I have been wondering for a while who delivers in Paulding. I know the basics of Pizza Hut, Papa Johns and Dominos. But who else delivers to New Hope? I would love to find a chinese or ANYTHING other than the three chain pizza places that deliver.
  22. I absolutely did, and of course she got Governors Honors. She was a genius when it came to Spanish. As for the solution to this, I do not think throwing money at it is the solution as much as paying attention to where the problem lies and finding what is working at East and North that is not working at PCHS. This school has too much heritage as a wonderful school with great students to go this direction.
  23. This is horrible. I graduated from there and it was an amazing school just 10 years ago. Now it is one of the worst in the state. The Paulding Board of Education should be ashamed of itself for letting it get to this point. This is the school that is our counties namesake.
  24. 2001 PCHS we removed the inspirational letters from the wall of the "Freshman Academy" in order to hang them to say Class of 2001 Rules. However we were caught about 80% of the way through and all called to the office. It was most of the top of the class doing it and we almost ALL came clean and named names. Because of this we just had to pay for the damage and got a strong warning.
