I generally send them a PM first and after hearing back, I post. Then they approve it.

If you aren't already collecting/donating these for another school, I would love to have them for Ragsdale Elementary. (I am the committee chair/coordinator for these programs at Ragsdale.) For a complete list of what items have the boxtops or labels/caps, please check these links.: Boxtops For Education Labels For Education pdf Thank you!

True floppies?

Where do you draw the line, though? Can they choose to ignore the teacher if he/she asks them to be quiet or do an assignment? Can they ignore a police officer who asks them for ID or asks them to leave someplace? Will they know the right time to stand for (what?) and the right time not to? And I ask these questions not specifically regarding your kids but the kids of people like the guy I referenced. He happens to also think his kid is cool because he child "doesn't take any crap from his teachers." I just can't help but wonder at what point do we accept "I just don't feel like it" as a

This situation reminds me of another ... I know a man who is very proud of his son who refuses to say the pledge of allegiance at school. The child has no articulable reason for refusing, just says that he doesn't feel like it. His father thinks his kid is cool for not being one of the sheep. But how cool is it when the kid has no actual reason for refusing?

Seems all passengers (including their luggage) were released and have been removed from the scene on a buss.

Plus the liability aspect.

And if you do try to sneak a pet in and they find out, you will be asked to leave. I've seen it happen.

In lieu of gifts, please send money.

They've changed it yet again. Click on the "New" drop down menu and then click "email message."

Absolutely. Now that I've read more details about what happened, it seems quite likely that some kids saw every second of it. He was treated at a local hospital during the wait.

Things like this are exactly why the huge, vast majority of all job descriptions have that last line ... "and all other duties, as assigned" -

What part of the "suggested" activities were mandated, directed, controlled, etc.?

I also think that the intent may well have been for this speech to be along the lines of Kennedy's "ask not what your country can do for you ..." speech but for our kids. (But I've been wrong before. I could certainly be wrong again. )

Really it seemed like a number of things combined on top of an already existing suspicion of him. I really think the intent was pure but poorly handled by his people. So many were under the impression that the letter only went out to the principals, bypassing the boards of education. Seems now that the boards were also informed. Folks were worried about the content because of the activities list that was put out. And so many are still so unsure about this man for their own list(s) of reasons. I think it was a good reminder for all in politics that we will not allow anything and every

One of the biggest points of contention with the initial list of classrooms activities was ... "write a letter telling what you can do to help the President", and there was the big problem for so many. That implied to many that there was more about doing for PBHO than for themselves, their community, etc. And a giant thank you to all involved for keeping this a civil, mature "conversation."

I think you should let the masses decide. Come up with a few ideas (or let folks submit ideas) and then do a poll.
